Lips Drag Queen Show Palace Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?

Rheanna Pierce: Everything about this place is wonderful and amazing. The synergy when you walk in is off the charts. Jessica was just as excited to be there as we were for our first time. Shinny Penny was the bessssst I loved their performance and their service. They are so funny and GORGEOUS !! Best show ever. If you’re hesitating don’t do it. It’s worth it!!

Christina Chedid: Another bachelorette party, another wild show. Funny and entertaining drag hosts. Seating at long tables was cozy, a little hard to move around. They bring the bride-to-be up onto the stage!

Michelle Smith: I brought my nieces here since it was their first time in New York, and they wanted to go to a drag queen show. Everyone there was nice and our server was great. We went on a Firday night so we did the $59 special which includes the show, a salad, your entrée, and a dessert. At first I thought the price was very reasonable especially since it included three different courses. No complaints with the salad and our entrées. The desserts consist of cupcakes and cookies. The cupcakes were good. The cookies were good but it did have a fondant on the top that took away from the taste of the cookie. It was unfortunate that the price did not include a drink besides water. My nieces absolutely loved the show. It was all they talked about after we left. The only downside was 20% gratuity included in our bill. Most places I've been to include gratuity for larger groups such as 5 or more people not for 3 people. Our bill came out to $233 for about an hour and 15 minute show. This includes an added on ginger ale and no alcohol beverages. I will say as much as my nieces enjoyed the show and the food was good. I can't justify taking them back and paying that price again. The taxes and mandatory gratuity were a huge turn off.

Samantha Edwards: Family and I had a fantastic time here! Food and drinks were okay. Performances were 100/10! Definitely recommend and I definitely want to come back!

Pamela Gialaboukis: Celebrated our niece 21 birthday Sunday brunch. Great show. Definitely going back for another shows

So B: .

Lisa Schmaltz: You will be taken care of here! The performers are obviously skilled and polished in their acts, and everyone is warm and accepting and welcoming. If you were looking for a drag brunch, you will not be disappointed by going to Lips. We were in town for my birthday this weekend and where we had made our other reservations, unfortunately had to cancel our reservations last minute. But Lips immediately got us in and from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left treated us like we were special and welcome guests. Even giving me a Birthday card with a printed photo with the host and another of the performers. The wait staff and bus staff were like a well oiled machine and the mimosas and bloody Marys were truly bottomless! Will absolutely come back the next time we visit.

Beetle House: what do users think?

Tiffany Santos: . The day of, we had a private section for our party. Once we arrived, our server Tim NEVER SKIPPED A BEAT!! he was amazing with the adults and children. SO attentive, as was the hostess Alizè. The decisions and overall atmosphere were 10/10 hands down! And the entertainment was superb!!!! Elvira, Jason, Wednesday, and Beetlejuice all gave our section so much attention! Wednesday even changed her outfit to match my daughter's Wednesday costume and let my daughter do the dance with her. There was also a conga line. The drinks were great, especially the dry ice shots with the souvenir glasses ang the fish bowls. The food presentation was phenomenal. Absolutely an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My daughter's birthday was special for the entire family! 🖤✨️ thank you so much!

Nick Cioffi: would have been a nice experience except for the fact that my friend put down his card for a tab, and then they literally lost my friend’s card… and he wasn’t the only one whose card was lost. incredibly unprofessional! bummer. hope they get their act together and don’t lose other people’s cards in the future. steadfast way of ruining what would’ve otherwise been a fun atmosphere and experience.

Fiery Wallflowers: This place lost our card. Like there's no excuse, how does a bar lose our card like that?

Oscar Estrada: I gotta say the service and show were amazing we both loved it and the steaks there were the best I’ve had in nyc yet. I’d love to go back and the actors were amazing I even tipped them some cause they nailed it . Definitely would go again not only for the food but for the show they put on 5 stars all aroundKid-friendliness: Anyone that likes Tim burtons art will love it here I couldn’t stop looking around I wish I brought my daughter here she would of love everything

Lauren Lindemann: We went here on a whim and I was presently surprised in how awesome both the atmosphere and the food was. Usually themed restaurants have mediocre food however here the food and drinks were amazing. The Mac and cheese was delicious as was the Au da vin and the steak dish. The biggest surprise was the performers, I had no idea when I entered that there was entertainment and at my visit I had Wednesday, Fester and Elvira they were in character and super interactive. However the best part of the meal was our waitress! She was so sweet and helpful! I wish I remembered her name but she had heart shaped glasses!

Glass House Tavern: what do users think?

Neil Addley: Easily the best bar in New York. Despite being a stones throw from Times Square the bar staff are super friendly and remember you from the get go. A combo of regular locals, show-lovers and tourists make for a fantastic atmosphere.Thoroughly recommend..

Richard Federbusch: Great dining experience near the theater district. A bit pricey, but the service and food are both of the highest quality. I started with the burrata which was creamy and delicious. My hangar steak was tender and juicy, and cooked perfectly. It was placed on top of au gratin potatoes which were warm and tasty. The zeppolo for dessert is a must, as it was sweet and exquisite. A great place to eat if you plan on seeing a show.

Lisa Miner: We planned our trip to New to see a play that won the Tony, Prima Facia. And I wanted to have a perfect restaurant. We chose the Glass Tavern. Our server made sure that the service perfect. The mussels app and shrimp and fettuccine dish was the best I've ever had. And they had a great wine list. When we return to New York they will be my first choice.Thank you!L.Miner

Jonathan Josephs: The crab cake appetizer was decent at best. The filet ordered rare came out burnt and medium well at best and the potato croquette served with it was the worst thing I’ve eaten in weeks. Very overpriced food taking advantage of a location near the theater district. Very disappointing, guess we will go to a food truck before our Hamilton show.

Michael Lehrman: Classic theatre district watering holeIt's where the casts go to party after the show. Loud but fun and friendly. Great drinks and good after theatre bites. Good for pre theatre dinner too. Can't go wrong with the burgerPrices are decent and quality is excellent. My favorite place to go post show! Sit at the bar if you can.

John Maull: We had appetizers here after a show. The food was mediocre. The burrata did not taste like burrata- it has hard and not runny as burrata should be. Not sure what cheese they are serving here. Crab cake did not have much flavor and was small for $26! Overall, disappointing

Le Scandal Cabaret: what do users think?

Christina Murray: I really loved this show. I hope you bring it back!

MohammadR Rezai (M): Very very nice

Anthony Makridis: This show was freaking fantastic. Hilarious, lots of fun and we will definitely be back for another show. Ladies were pretty and full of self confidence. The host was a great stand up comedian. A little bit cramped but nothing you don't expect from a New York location. You are up close and it's easy to see the stage. I would recommend the VIP tickets. Great shows and a bunch of laughs. The food there is also very good so attend early to eat. The only issue was finding the location.

Eric Outcalt: What a night! Amazing acts, incredible vibe, and the MCee was killer! HIGHLY RECOMEND for an up close, virtually interactive, budget friendly FUN NIGHT OUT!

Kelly Bartel: Good fun. Amazing host. Funny

Amanda: This was our first time at a Burlesque show. The MC was HILARIOUS and the performers were amazing as well. It was funny, sexy and impressive all around. Would definitely recommend.

K W: My husband and I thought this show was amazing. A combination of funny and sexy...it made for a great Saturday out!

Jurgen Hein: A good performance by the MC and acrobat but cabaret should be more then just a strip show

Romulus Staton, III (Rom): Entertaining performers and show.

Denisse Jaquez: Performance is great but the service not so much

Noelia Quinones: A dinner and a show. I really enjoyed this place, the peformers were great and pretty funny.

AnaGramm: . Would definitely consider coming back here again for another event. The shoes are apparently always different. The energy was just amazing.

Clelia Pergola, CDP: Manager is a liar as well as the guy at ticket sales. Everyone is a drag queen. Terrible service and process. Don’t go!

Natercia Caneira: Atmosphere: 5/5

Breana: My favorite bar in the whole city. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect.

Nikida: Unassuming little bar with good IPA, chill environment, and even better music.

Vanessa Ogbuehi: This spot transports you from Brooklyn to around the world and back. I'm shocked at the AMAZING quality of the food, drinks, friendly staff and mind-blowing music. Had a really good time with friends who suggested it. I don't know how this bar pulls it off, but I suggest you go for a unique experience!

City Vineyard: what do users think?

Matthew Robins: I've been to City Winery a number of times for dinner, tastings, concerts and comedy shows and always have a great time. I decided to try City Vineyard for an after work happy hour and it lived up to high expectations. The view was perfect overlooking the water. There was a dj that made for a great happy hour topped off with quality food and drinks. I recommend the two different types of french fries, burata and tuna appetizers. The pizzas also were great. I look forward to returning to City Vineyard for more happy hours and to try dinner and a show.

Eva P: . I completely understand if there's a wait for tables but there clearly wasn't. So, we stood at the bar behind other guests while about 40 open tables sat empty behind us.The wine on draft was gross, and for a place that's called "City Winery" their wine list is laughable. They have ONE btg rose!

Marco Taroni: I had a dinner here at the end of my long day fly to NYC. I saw several times this restaurant from outside, but before i never join in.In the menu the are several dishes of meat, fish and pasta, you can eat inside or outside, that was our choice. The service has been fast, quality of food and prices average with other restaurants, but the water front view was super, especially at sunset…probably i will come again.

Michelle: Food, drinks and atmosphere was 10/10. Came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday and another table celebrating a birthday cut into and ate the cake I drove in from another state. The restaurant was 100% apologetic and comp'd the whole meal and gave the whole table free dessert and my friend a dessert with a candle. They remedied the unfortunate situation beyond what was expected, could not recommend more.

EB: . My group was directed by the hostesses that anywhere outdoors was open seating and that we could order food/drinks at the bar. We found a table outside, and after sitting for 5-10 minutes, we ordered a round of drinks and appetizers at the bar. After returning with our drinks, Corey approached our table and told us that we were sitting at a "full service" table and asked whether we had just ordered at the bar. When we said yes, he became very upset and ordered us to move to a different table. We told him that we were fine with the table being full service and would gladly order more drinks / food through him - an offer which he refused. There were many empty tables and we sat around for 5-10 minutes without any service originally so we were surprised by Corey's attitude and pettiness. We picked up our drinks, moved tables and left City Vineyard as soon as possible - so many other options in NYC where you are treated with a modicum of respect.

Monique Jordan: she tried to help the process along and notify him i’ve been waiting for now at least 20 minutes for one drink. He came to me and my group and had the audacity to say: “I want to hear from the horses mouth what it is that you want.” Despite myself, my boyfriend & his coworker informing him what I ordered. To make matters worse, instead of making the drink & correcting his wrong, he decides to go on his phone, go off into the visible back area and engage in conversation with his coworkers and have food. This is very disrespectful as not only a patron but a person in general. If it wasn’t for April correcting his wrongs and apologizing sincerely and the wonderful conversation I had with Ellen in the dining bar, I would’ve left having my birthday night ruined.Everyone else was extremely lovely, down to the managers & because of that I would probably consider coming back but would avoid Kenan at all costs.

Mary Curry: A great place for large get togethers, outdoor meetups, excellent service, fantastic

Palm Lodge: not fulfilling orders.

Luke Guo: A server was extremely rude to us and ruined our time here which was a shame since the ambiance was really nice because it was by the water and in my opinion, drinks and food weren’t too expensive. We were told by the hostess that we could sit anywhere in the outside area in the front or back patio and order drinks and food at the bar which we did. We sat in the back patio facing the water and went to order an appetizer, salad and drinks. However, when we came back, a server told us we couldn’t sit at our table because it was “full service”. We told him we were fine with it being full service and asked if we could still sit there. He responded that we had already ordered so no, we could either sit at the bar or move to the side patio. We had tipped 18% at the bar already and were very willing to order more food and drinks but he seemed extremely adamant that we couldn’t sit there which was confusing because there were 4 more empty tables to our right and groups to our left getting “full service”. I’m not sure what difference it makes since we still got water, silverware and napkins and our food delivered to us when we moved tables and the servers cleared our table for us.Overall, this experience left a very sour taste in our mouth so we finished our food and drinks as fast as possible and went to a different bar where we treated like normal customers.

John Warren: Wine was great - Rose wasn’t anything special but the Sav Blanc did the job!We were sitting out on the patio around 5:00pm on a dreary Friday evening, the restaurant had a DJ playing upbeat music that most definitely wasn’t the vibe that time of day. Most of the high top tables and chairs out on the patio are pretty wobbly so you feel like you’re about to shatter your wine every few minutes. Views are great getting to watch all the runners and dogs go by.
