ABC Languages: what do users think?

Parisa Re: I had the pleasure of having an instructor , Nia Hamilton for Mandarin . You cannot find a better teacher than her. So nice and patient and lovely! I hope one day she would have a youtube channel, because I have already miss her!

DM: I took an online group class to learn French Pronunciation. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect.I had an incredible experience with the talented Prof. Elizabeth.I discovered how to pronounce vowels and how to carefully move my facial muscles to get the perfect word sound.I have an American accent and never thought I could acquire that beautiful French sound. Prof. Elizabeth encouraged us to engage, ask questions, and enjoy the experience of the "art of French pronunciation." She is patient and informative. The class was fun, enlightening, and stimulating. The experience was gratifying as I journeyed to learn French with confidence! Prof. Elizabeth's teaching methods are on point and very rewarding.I will continue practicing Pronunciation and am grateful to know there is a way to sound clearer when speaking French with a native French person.

Rocío Peña: Great classes and amazing teachers! I particularly had Sophie Sayaque and she was always willing to go over again any subject we needed to practice with the best attitude! Highly recommend

Tauni Crefeld: practice speaking, translating, and conversations. I am really enjoying the classes!

Sebastian Parr: Sophie Sayaque !!! She is great

Monica Cheskin: I took a beginner's French class via zoom with Sophie Sayaque who made each class very fun and engaging. Each class was different and she taught us words and grammar that would be helpful in conversational French. I thought the games and videos she used were very helpful. I would definitely recommend Sophie.

Ryan Curtin: I've had a great time learning Russian with ABC Languages. The group classes are small and very engaging. I'd highly recommend learning with Maria - she is a great teacher and takes pride in ensuring that we make progress. After twelve weeks, I have decided to enroll again to continue my studies!

Jasmine Pierce: My goal this year was to learn Spanish for my work in South America and I’m so happy that I stumbled upon ABC languages. Their classes are affordable, they have convenient class times and my instructor Angel is incredible. He’s patient, knowledgeable and makes learning Spanish fun. Even when the content gets a bit difficult to grasp, Angel patiently explains in a way that’s easy to understand. Couldn’t recommend this class more!

Lauren Bender: Fantastic class - engaging and helpful to understand colloquial phrases and become a better conversationalist.

Meghan Vargas: I'm currently taking an intermediate Spanish class and I could not recommend it more. When I first started, I was nervous of the class size and my conversational skills but Dana is a fantastic teacher and makes you feel at ease right away. The class size is small which is great and the individual attention during the class makes learning the language very easy. Dana really makes the class fun and engaging and is SO patient! I highly recommend taking a class with her and look forward to continuing learning Spanish with her!

Jennifer Zimmerman: Dana R. is a joy to work with! She is very patient, teaches to attainable goals, provides an understanding of the nuances of Spanish, and adapts her teaching based on the needs and goals of her students. I have gained a lot more confidence in my Spanish since working with Dana. Would recommend to anyone, especially those looking to dust off their Spanish skills!

Jill Greenspan: us over Zoom.He repeats the lessons appropriately so our class can learn the material well but not too much as to make it boring. He is funny and the 90 minutes per week we spend with him passes quickly. The homework is reasonable and relevant. He is always available to answer questions. I highly recommend Angel.

Grace Mausser: The classes are small and the teacher, Dana R, is very attentive and works hard to move at a pace that works for the students!

Miguel Yriberry: Angel has been an excellent tutor.

Mandy Mueller: I have really enjoyed learning Spanish through ABC Languages. Angel is patient and energetic, which really helps our group make progress during the classes. I attempted to learn Spanish on my own in the past but never made much progress and was unable to converse in Spanish, but even after just a few sessions with Angel, I feel more comfortable with starting to converse.

Isaac Liberman: As someone that's never taken a formal spanish class, I really love the setup that ABC Languages promotes. With Dana R as my teacher - I've learned significantly more than I had when studying on my own. I don't feel overwhelmed and love the active learning aspect of the course. With most of each class being conducted in Spanish, I've grown more comfortable listening and speaking Spanish while adding to my vocabulary along the way. Overall, I'm very happy I signed up and can't wait to continue learning!

Jennifer Giangrande: I highly recommend taking a class with Dana Radeka. She has a very interactive teaching style that keeps the class fun and entertaining. I came to the class with a basic knowledge of Spanish from learning in school, but her emphasis on speaking spontaneously and conversationally with other classmates as we are learning has increased my confidence so much! After only a few weeks I feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish then I ever have. Take the class, you won't regret it!

Ismael Guzman: Just finished taking Italian course with my instructor, Giulia, she is amazing, very patient, great sense of humor, native speaker of the language and made every single class fun and entertaining with the topics that ranged from translating basic sentences, grammar, and more importantly, speaking the language without the fear of making mistakes because let's be honest, you will not get better unless you lose the fear of speaking and committing mistakes. It's part of the learning process. As for ABC Languages, the Program Managers were very very accommodating with me and even helped me switch into a more advanced level since I had initially registered for the introductory level course without realizing it. They allowed me to switch to a level that I felt was more appropriate for me and I was not disappointed. In other words, I surely recommend ABC Languages if you want to explore a new language, not many places are as accommodating as they are, and you won't regret it. You don't see that often in other places and it's great to know that they were only an email away if you had any concerns or questions, they are always ready to assist you.

Palak Bajaj: ! He has a great attitude and lights up my evening with virtual Spanish class.

Mara Nerenberg: language, and he makes classes fun and engaging. I have been taking classes with Joseph for over a year and I don't intend to stop. He's a gem of a person and is excellent at adjusting his style to students' needs.I can't recommend ABC languages enough. The staff is responsive, friendly, and accommodating, especially Alice. They have a great policy that allows you to try out classes until you find the right level for your skill set.

SpanishBlackbelt: what do users think?

Laurie Wetzel: I’ve been using several Spanish tutorial apps over the years but the work was not resulting in fluency of the language. A friend had great success with SpanishBlackbelt so I decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did. My instructor, Patricia, makes the class fun and challenging. It is a small group which creates a comfortable space to put our learnings to the test. Knowing I need to be in class each week, helps me to prioritize the homework and practice.

Laurie Starkey: I am just completing my first level of classes with Spanish Blackbelt, and I couldn’t be happier. I currently have Glenys, who is one of the instructors for the school. She is so patient and kind, and makes sure you understand the lessons before proceeding on to the next topic.I definitely recommend this school if you understand the basics and are looking to practice speaking and writing. It has helped me so much and I look forward to the next level.

Tanyia Davila: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI learned so much in a short amount of time! I definitely have a better understanding of the language and what endings to use. I absolutely love speaking with and learning from my tutor, Glenys. If you are looking to learn and improve your conversational Spanish, this is the best start.

Melissa Foster: I have been studying Spanish on and off for many years. Now with Spanish Blackbelt classes, I finally feel like I am making real progress. My teacher, Juana is excellent. She is friendly, clear, always prepared and a native speaker. And the Spanish Blackbelt curriculum is excellent; building each concept on what you've already learned to lead you through an effective learning process. Highly recommend.

Julia V.: Spanish Blackbelt is great! i have tried independent tutoring, small classes offered in bookstores, and learning from friends and travel and this is by far the best approach. Great one on one tutoring with a syllabus to guide the work. Very conversational and helps you get out of your comfort zone. My spanish has made more progress in 1 month than it did in 2 years.

Betty Lee: My teacher, Maria Elena, is amazing. I am a nurse, and after only 2 levels I already feel much more confident with my Spanish speaking patients everyday. I love the layout, and for the price this is the best Spanish option around. I can't wait to get my blackbelt!

Devjani Das: For this new year, I made a decision to really devote my time and energy into learning Spanish. After a quick search, I found Spanish Blackbelt online. After enrolling into classes, which was super easy, I was paired with Alejandro. We have been able to hold all of our lessons through an online format and it has been working great! I have already seen a ton of progress. Prices are competitive, lesson plans are great and the teachers are wonderful. Highly recommend to anyone really committed to learning!

Mark Eberle: A few years ago, I made a decision to learn Spanish. However, it was not until I found Consuelo of Spanish Blackbelt that made it possible. I just finished the White Belt program through Skype and have learned so much in such a short time. I recommend Consuelo for any professional who wishes to have a fun and engaging learning experience. I look forward to each week's lesson.

AmyR: I have had private tutoring experience with two instructors. Both were excellent and I learning a lot very quickly and relatively painlessly with their methods. I took a Spanish class with another program in NYC and learned some language rules, but not enough to be able to claim that I spoke the language even minimally. My experience with Spanish Black Belt is an entirely different story. In even two sessions my tutor was able to engage me in basic conversation and increase my ability to understand and speak the language. I am amazed how much I've learned in such a short amount of time. My instructors have been seriously committed to teaching, but they are also very down to earth, friendly, patient and reassuring. They make learning fun and actually seem almost easy. Homework and online resources are excellent as well. This is an outstanding Spanish language program and I recommend it without reservation.

Fluent City: what do users think?

Amanda Cermak: I loved refreshing my Spanish 1 skills with Soney out of Fluent City DC. Soney was so helpful and encouraging, and made classes relevant and engaging!

Beth Dacquisto: I signed up for private lessons and I enjoyed my instructor, but I decided to temporarily cancel due to the fact it is my summer vacation and I want to enjoy it before picking up lessons again in the fall. I was still charged for another month of lessons despite cancelling by the set date for the auto renew. After politely requesting a refund, their office told me that wouldn't be happening and I could defer my lessons for up to 3 months. Because I'm not exactly sure when I would want to use my lessons again that'd fit with my schedule, because I am a teacher myself and the return to school is always chaotic, this wasn't an option for me. I wanted my money back. They were steadfast about not giving me back my money, despite canceling on time.I'm currently dealing with this through my credit card company to get my money back, which is incredibly sad and frustrating they couldn't simply give me back what isn't theirs. You all really lost a long-term customer over a one month auto renew of private lessons - hundreds of dollars y'all could've gotten over months of me using your services - just so you could get $180 out of me. I genuinely hope it was worth it!

Rob Wu: I had a great experience with Fluent City.I wanted to try learning Hebrew and signed up during lockdown for an online class. They didn't have enough people and one on one tutoring was suggested to me. It did cost a little bit more, of course, but I decided to try a four hour per month plan and liked the individual attention and ended up staying with it for six months. I'm currently taking a break from lessons - to give my mind a rest; to take care of other priorities - but do plan on returning to this at some point. My huge thanks to Fluent City and my fantastic Hebrew tutor Ronit.

Sam J: Positive:Communication,ValueI took my 2nd class at Fluent City this past summer. I studied Italian here years ago and returned for remote Mandarin 1 classes with Jiayan. It's a great value for what you get and would highly recommend FC to anyone looking for a language school in NYC, and I would recommend Jiayan for Mandarin! A+!

Connie Yin: So far it's been a great experience!

Dan Foster: I enjoyed my first Spanish class greatly at Fluent City. My instructor, Eliana, was an engaging and effective instructor who really helped guide us through the foundations needed to continue toward the goal of fluency. Solitary study is definitely needed outside of classes, but the two hours of in-person practice was extremely valuable and enjoyable.

Pamela Young: My instructor, John, was incredibly patient and genuinely interested in the subject matter.

Darren K: Fantastically energetic, knowledgeable teacher!

Richard Howard: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value

Cassidy Andrews: Khaled who teaches Arabic is excellent and thorough and keeps it fun/light even though for absolute beginners it’s a challenging language.10th floor- nice door man and really nice person at the Fluent city desk.

Todd Hall: It's been 7 years since I studied Spanish, so I was thinking this might be painful. But Israel is a great instructor. He gets everyone speaking a lot and creates a fun, comfortable environment for you to learn from mistakes. This has built my confidence and ability. I would highly recommend this class.

Izabela Qafa: Khaled is a great teacher. He’s demanding which is honestly pretty great. Totally worth the money & the time; I simply wish I had prepared more outside of classes. would recommend 11/10

Christine Rivera: I took this class to strengthen my Spanish when I started practicing criminal defense in the Bronx. I must say that this is definitely the best Spanish class I’ve ever taken. Victor takes his time, he breaks things down, and always relates everything we learn to real life situations. I also love the fact he teaches us the differences from country to country. He does all this and still manages to keep it fun and make the class laugh. It’s also very clear that Victor is an expert at what he teaches which is really admirable. I genuinely feel myself getting stronger. Highly recommend taking Spanish @ Fluent City with him — I look forward to coming back for the next level!

Robert Buchanan: Professional and engaging instructors in a quality learning environment

Lawrence Haseley: .My instructor - professor - teacher, Victor was incredible! He really made learning spanish fun and enjoyable! Beyond the information provided in the coursebook he shared with us the origin of how phrases and words came about as commonplace in different spanish speaking countries, and also what words and phrases to use to be culturally relevant in different spanish speaking communities. Much appreciated. Looking forward to Spanish 2!If your'e on the fence of whether to take a class...Just do it! You'll find a community among other classmates and the professor.

Olga Sokova: Claire is wonderful, will enroll in the next French level with her!

Marie Foos: Claire Reid is a very sweet and patient teacher who is always open and approachable whenever I have a question.I feel in this class as though we were able to start speaking and applying our knowledge in practical, everyday situations more quickly, with plenty of opportunities to speak and practice in the class. The only negative comment is that the classroom space is very tight with little room to move during the two hour class, but I realize that is a common problem in Manhattan and that is the price to pay for the convenient location.

City Speakeasy: what do users think?

Hannah Singer: I had a wonderful experience with City Speakeasy. Sheri was extremely helpful in finding the best Spanish teacher for me. I ended up meeting with Joseph B, who was extremely kind and did a wonderful job speaking with me in Spanish. The organization is extremely efficient, well-run, and organized. I would highly recommend.

Jordan Daley: Beginner Spanish with Andy has opened up many new doors in my high school biology classroom! As a teacher in Brooklyn, I have many new English Language Learners in my classes. I've learned basic grammar and have lots of tools for building my vocabulary and translating materials. As a teacher, I appreciated Andy's ability to build a classroom culture that was comfortable taking risks and getting folks to open up. This was a great experience!

Anna Libby: WONDERFUL CLASS! My teacher was great and the class was very interactive

Harris Jacobs: I took French 3 and the paint night event was a tremendous time. I am very much looking forward to taking French 4!

Frances: I signed up for Italian 1 and was disappointed by the entire experience. The space is run down, extremely small, cramped, and has old whiteboards and outdated technology. I was in a small room with tons of people sitting with my back against another student on a side counter because the table was full. I was further disappointed with the instructor, who was lovely as a person, but after two sessions I learned the alphabet and more about her personal interest in hip hop than anything I paid to study. What's worse is that I escalated to the management team and was offered only classes that don't fit with my schedule, no refund, and no solution for a credit or consolation. These five star reviews are in direct conflict with my actual experience and I question their legitimacy. I learned more in the first 30 minutes at fluent city than the 4 hours I spent in class at speak easy.

Milissa Hutchinson: I just finished Level 2 Italian with Maria and enjoyed the out of class events that were included in the curriculum. In the 2nd week we had a class happy hour after class where one drink was already paid for and we ordered in Italian. The 7th week we went to a wine store and learned about the various wine regions alongside tasting/describing each wine. My Fiance and I are going to Italy on our honeymoon in May and I am already signed up for level 3 to continue learning about the culture. Maria is a great teacher and I made sure she is teaching the upcoming level 3!

Princey Usa: i took spanish beginners class with ashley . she is simply amazing and should say have a lot of patience to explain each minor stuffs. she patiently helped me to correct all my pronounciations. city speakeasy is best way to have fun as well as to learn a new language. really fun and awesome exp to me......

Jillian Beck: My beginner Italian class with Monique was incredible! She made every class so fun and immersive. We had music, movie clips, art, and got to perform short skits in almost all of our classes. We also got to drink wine in class, so the whole thing was very social and fun. And then to put it all together, we went to an authentic Italian restaurant in NYC where we had to put our first 8 classes together and read our personal story over some delicious Italian cuisine! Can't wait to see what level 2 Italian has in store!

Michael Deighan: If you REALLY need to learn the language these classes are great because they provide you with more than enough homework and review materials to keep you busy for the entire week - right up until next class. The homework is "optional, but highly recommended" as they say, and if you really do want to get the most out of the class I understand why they say that. At the end of both my beginner french and intermediate italian classes

Blaise M.: that includes everything from the immersion event to the textbook, to their cool reference guide. Another great included system they have that I couldn't find in any other schools was their absent & review packets. These were sent out weekly and really helped me stay on track, even when I missed a class. Will be enrolling in the intermediate spanish class this summer! Gracias City Speakeasy!

Jon Chevalier: I took French classes in high school but didn't get much out of it so I wanted to start fresh on learning a new foreign language. Recently moved to NYC, so I did my research on the different foreign language schools around Manhattan and ended up going with City Speakeasy for a Spanish class. Very glad I did! I met a bunch of cool people with similar interests as myself and we now hang out regularly. The class itself was very fun and conversational as well, and I got a better grasp on learning Spanish in the 10 weeks with City Speakeasy than I did in 4 years of HS. The practicality of their system, coupled with the amazing teachers and materials made this class a home run. I'm absolutely sure I made the right choice in going to City Speakeasy for my Spanish class!

HB BJ: Hands down the best spanish class in nyc i've taken. I've taken plenty of spanish classes around the city and none compare to this school. Very social, practical, cultural, and fun. we went on this fantastic wine tasting at a cool wine store for our "immersion event", as they call it. Very fun, social, and cultural. Will definitely be able to use what i learned in my spanish class when I travel to Spain! highly recommended if need to learn the practical language and/or are travelling to a Spanish speaking place soon!

Dan Boland: City Speakeasy is a really cool experience if you are trying to learn a new language, meet new people and/or try new things. The teachers and classmates that I've had were all young, engaging and and fun to be around. Teachers were able to foster participation and enthusiastic about teaching. Students were eager to learn. The field trips are also pretty awesome. So far I've done wine tasting en francais, and a cooking class en francais aussi! They're fun, and you really get a chance to learn the intricacies of a language, such as idioms, slang, and technical terms you might not otherwise learn in a traditional setting. I would recommend this to anyone who is young at heart, adventure-seeking and eager to learn.10/10 would language learn again.

Gabriella Nurkiewicz: and also out to dinner. My teacher Maureen was awesome! The biggest advantage of these classes are, by the time I landed in Paris, I had already practiced speaking French in these social situations. So I was over my fear of speaking French in public and making embarrassing mistakes in front of my classmates. So in France I was able to confidently speak to the locals....like order wine with my dinner, and talk on the dance floor! The other way cool benefit is that you learn all these new skills besides just the language. My friends are all impressed with my knowledge in wine and my new swing dancing moves! The survival guide that they give you is also very helpful for referencing before I went out. If you're going out to dinner, just flip to the dining out page and you'll have all the info you need to order food at a restaurant. It was also useful for teaching my brother a little French while we were visiting!Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the City Speakeasy French class to anyone! I had an amazing time with my new friends and really loved how they teach French. Now I am taking italian 1 with City Speakeasy and it's better than ever!! Batte cinque a Monique!!!

Cameron Thorpe: I took a Spanish class having never learned anything before. Came away being able to have fun chit chat with Spanish speaking people at restaurants, in the office and just hanging. Cityspeakeasy seemed to be built for that practical type of interaction. Still hang out with my group and made new friends

Todd: The in-class wine tasting was my favorite! Really loosened my tongue up.

Greg Caragine: My class is a great time! I’m taking Spanish1 to stay fresh and to meet new people and I couldn’t be happier, my classmates and teacher are awesome to hang out with and the vibe is totally laid-back and comfortable; you don’t feel like you’re in a high school classroom

Will McPhaden: Very different than your normal language class – super fun teacher, class atmosphere, and activities. Highly recommended if you’re looking to learn a language.

Greg Goldstein: Bonne classe! Merci, Maureen et City SpeakEZ!

Jon Coccaro: I’m currently in my second City SpeakEZ class. The first French class I took was great but the new location has improved the class dramatically. The classrooms are bigger, more open, and have a study/hangout lounge. Also, my French continues to improve and their new “Absent Packets” they send out if you miss a class. Great improvements!

Berges Institute: what do users think?

Francois Valiquette: I took Spanish class level 1 with Rolando and María. Instructors were fun and the price is reasonable.

Karen Grace Alegre: My friends and I were in Nicolás Zuluaga's Level 1 & 2 classes. We are also enrolling in his Level 3 class. I love the format of reviewing homework, speaking, reading, and learning new material. If you miss a class, you can take a make-up class that has the same homework/format. Nicolas is very good in that he engages all the students equally, no matter your level/ability. He's very encouraging and patient, especially with the speaking portion of the class. I highly recommend him! It doesn't matter if you make mistakes, as long as you keep trying.

Kira Erickson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBerges Institute classes are fun, engaging, and very well done. I participated in the advanced conversation class with Nelson and looked forward to it every week. Highly recommend! Gracias Berges.

A Moylen: Maria was a great teacher, material was organized well, and the class gives you the opportunity to practice speaking.

Gerald Murnane: My daughter took lessons here last year and it really helped her have something to focus her energy on beyond her usual Zoom school. She wants to major in Spanish when she eventually goes off to college next year and her lessons her really helped her figure that out

Kirsten Cieslar: Starting my third class with Berges and loving it! The teachers are all supportive, friendly and make learning fun. Highly recommend- incredible value.

Emily Carlstrom: I just finished my Beginners course with Nick and it was great! The quality of material we learned was perfect for a beginners course. The instructor always made the class feel comfortable participating, and the class environment was very encouraging of success. I am already signed up for the next level and am excited to continue with Berges!

New York City Spanish: what do users think?

Douglas Davidson: Andrea is simply fantastic. She customizes each class to your particular needs, concentrating on conversation. In the relaxed atmosphere of her apartment, the lessons are not only pleasant but also great fun. Having made a number of unsuccessful attempts Over the years to learn Spanish in a more structured setting, I was extremely fortunate to find Andrea and am finally making really good progress.Andrea is a wonderful person and an enormously effective teacher. You will learn to speak Spanish for sure.

Jill Jaroff: Andrea is a terrific teacher. She has helped me become a far more confident Spanish speaker and listener. She has a great sense of what her students need to learn and she tailors her classes accordingly. Her classes were a pleasure, and if I could keep seeing her once a week forever, I would!

Surath Rashmy Chatterjee: She is really good.

Miguel Asse: I've been a student of Andrea's at NYC Espanol for ~6 months now, and I couldn't be happier. Andrea is a phenomenal and flexible Spanish instructor. She truly tailors the class to your individual ability. Ultimately my Spanish proficiency has increased tremendously since I've been a student of hers. I'm much comfortable with speaking and tackling tenses I never learned in over 4+ years of studying in highschool and speaking in college. What I find outstanding about her and her teaching:1. Individual attention - Andrea is great at assessing your strengths and weaknesses, and coming up with personalized instruction that pushes you to improve where your language weaknesses are, and she encourages you to speak every class.2. Availability and flexibility - Andrea is also very flexible depending on your schedule. She's able to come to your workplace, or teach you at her home. She's able to work around your schedule and provide a regular cadence to meet.3. Knowledge - Andrea is extremely knowledgable about various dialects and various Latino cultures around the world, she's able to customize based on what you'd like to learn, or provide you with an international Spanish language experience.I couldn't recommend Andrea more for private Spanish language lessons!

Julia W Salinas: I came to her as a total beginner only two months ago and she has really helped me make great progress with her native language in two meetings per week. I already feel that I can communicate much better with my husband's family and friends when they come here or when we are on trips abroad. Not to mention that my husband himself is very impressed with all my progress after each lesson with Andrea. She is one of those rare teachers who is able to assess the student's level and pace quickly and adjust that pace to accommodate areas that are a personal struggle or where the material might be a bit easier. She is always very prepared with each day's lesson but also more than happy to sidetrack to drill some points of confusion from homework or a topic that I would like to cover. She has a great personal style of being able to explain the grammar in good order and clearly, without being too overwhelming. She also shows a lot of empathy for the student and is super encouraging with many kind words of positive reinforcement even when I feel like I am being dense or struggling to find the words. In sum, she has a really good personal touch that differentiates the great teachers from the good. I signed up for 20 lessons and plan to stick with her until I am fluent ....and beyond!

DENORA PHILLIPS: If you want to become fluent in Spanish, look no further. Profesora Andrea has a natural gift for teaching you how to think in Spanish, which rapidly develops your ability and desire to speak. She is well-versed in grammatical knowledge in both English and Spanish. She explains everything in a clear and simple manner. Profesora Andrea is warm, patient and very flexible with scheduling and payments. She offers excellent resources and tools to guide you through your journey in becoming a Spanish speaker. I am highly confident that you will acquire the skills necessary to conversing in Spanish in a short time as I have in just 8 months of taking classes with her.

Ray Blackburn: Andrea C is a talented and thorough teacher. She brings a terrific blend of attention and positive energy to each lesson. Andrea has a thorough knowledge of grammar, syntax, and overall language structure that she shares with the student in a way that is accessible and concise. Most important, the student really learns with each session. Andrea guides the student to an understanding of Spanish that is concrete and useful, making actual communication with others in real life situations possible and enjoyable.

John Gillespie: You want to learn Spanish? New York City Spanish and its progenitor Andrea Cukier are top of the line. Have tried to learn Spanish in the past and found teachers wanting. Maybe they were in the wrong field. They didn't seem motivated to teach and were more or less punching the clock. Andrea is clearly in the right field. She inhabits her role, clearly loves teaching, and, as a result, elicits considerable dedication in her students. And that builds on their motivation to learn in the first place. In fact, I would say that she is similar to a corporate trainer in the learning style she employs; it's superbly practical A to Z. And she uses humor and even skits to get points across. Those are the points I remember best and find myself using most often.

Manhattan Language: what do users think?

sylvie dholandre: I had a great experience in Manhattan Language. I liked method of teaching. Managers, administrators and teachers are kind and caring. Also, Manhattan Language organizes great activities. I met friendly students of different nationalities and I loved it.I recommend Manhattan Language if you want to study and improve your level of English.

Abiba Fofana: Great experience with Manhattan language! I improved my English very faster, everyday was a challenge but I did it ! Thank you so much for everything and big love on the staff who was amazing.

Rafael Lopez Fernandez: I was there in august 2003. Best experiece ever. Teachers were great, and location awsome!! Such great memories!! I remember my teachers, Anthony Bagnoly and Barbara a woman with 4 jobs 😆I survived the blackout at Manhattan Language. 😂😂😂

Faruk Güneş: Best language school location ! also Teachers are perfect.

dodododododododododo kwon: This is the best English school in New York. It was nice to meet good teachers and students!근처 다른어학원들보다 몇배는 좋음!

최정혜: I will miss the teachers and staff a lot.뉴욕에 어학원 중 저렴하고 가성비 좋은 학원입니다. 매 주 액티비티도 있어서 다양한 외국인 친구들과 많은 추억을 만들 수 있답니당 :-

Allegra: I have attended many language schools in both England and Ireland and can say that I can rate Manhattan Language School at a higher level. The courses are divided according to the level of preparation assessed by a pre-test and there are multiple levels for each. The professors are very knowledgeable in teaching, the teaching method facilitates learning, and the classes are dynamic and challenging. The professors are the best I've ever had, the classes are interesting, engaging, and fun, and every day you learn something new about the language thanks to the modern and innovative teaching method. The school is in the Wall Street neighborhood. A safe, orderly neighborhood, well connected by transportation, and the school offers a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty. The school is well organized in space it is not too big, which allows you to get your bearings well and know other students. The school offers extra activities such as theatre, museums, and NBA games. There are wonderful people working in the office at this school who made me feel welcome right away, they are available to solve problems and give information, they are attentive and full of energy, and their smiles and enthusiasm make the days beautiful. I attended this school for 5 months and would have liked to stay much longer. It has been a second family for me. The school took care of the selection of my host family and I was very satisfied. The family was used to hosting students and they were also helpful and welcoming. If I had to give a grade I would be 10/10 to the school and 10/10 to the family. I would recommend MLS without any doubt.Thank you for everything ML!!Allegra.

Saul Campuzano Ecovivir Internacional SAS: "I studied for just three weeks, but it was an amazing experience. The staff was very kind, and the teachers were highly skilled professionals. I really enjoyed this experience and strongly recommend it."

Harry HW: Very much quality school. My daughter attended the course and enjoyed very much.Addition to the classes at the school, the school offers variety of after-class activities by which students can expand the real life in English.Thank you!!

Yaneth Palomo: I called this school and I was discriminated against, the person who attended me told me that I could not be accepted to that school because of my immigration status, I am legal in this country and on a student visa. I don't admit any kind of discrimination and racism. Very bad experience.

Morayo Osseni: I really enjoyed the time l spent at Manhattan Language, everyone was really kind with me. I learn a lot , thank you for everything ! I 100 % recommend

Genki: I spend an amazing time at the Manhattan language. They have friendly and wonderful teachers! I was at the school for almost 10 months. During this term, I got many friends regardless of age or native place even the teachers became my friends because they have abundant activities. It was really useful to do it!This school is nearby Wall St. Furthermore, you can see the Statue of Liberty from the window. If you improve your English level and enjoy your NY life, I'd highly recommend this school.

Daniela Lopez Perez: Amazing experience!

Fermin Calvo Laoreno: I can say for myself that this has been a good thing for me in the short time I stayed in Manhattan Language, but it was a great help to me to enhance and learn English with the appropriate method I learned, not perfectly learned but I can say that my speech has changed a lot. When I get the chance to visit again, I will see my good teachers who patiently share their knowledge so that I can learn it. Thank you so much, I highly recommended this institution who would like to enhance their communication skills in English...

Alice Chang: The environment is great, also the teachers are friendly ~I love manhattan language school

Coucou French Classes: what do users think?

Shawn Personke: with each session having a topic

Deepthi B: Took level 2 with Coucou. French is a beautiful, yet, difficult language and the way coucou streamlined the chapters is admirable. It makes the learning process easy and the progress visible. I loved classes with Pascal, he was kind, patient and very knowledgeable. The tips he gave helped me get my pronunciation right as well as grammar correct. Can't wait to go to next level. Highly recommend for those who want to seriously learn the beautiful French Language.

Joy Siao: Thank you Coucou for helping me perfect my French before my move to Paris! I took French classes in high school, but sadly was not consistent with practicing the language since. Here are the reasons why I love Coucou:Curriculum: Coucou makes it easy and fun to digest the material. They provide workbooks and homework for you to hold yourself accountable and the artwork provides visuals to help you with memory.Teachers: The teachers are all French native speaking teachers and are so friendly and patient.Atmosphere: Living in New York City can get lonely and I like how Coucou offers social activities for students outside of class. You can sign up for Yoga in French and fun cooking classes in French. It gives you a chance to meet other students, learn the language, and culture. Also it’s BYOB in class! Who doesn’t like wine when learning a new language?Cost: Compared to other options online or nearby, I felt the price was fairly priced for the quality of service. Their online course is slightly cheaper and it works well for people who travel often. They also give you a placement exam to see which class you should be in. I am now in level 3 and I hope to be fluent very soon. Merci beaucoup!!

Cody Behr: I am extremely disappointed with this school. They never gave me my $400 dollars back. I was very disappointed with how slow the classes were progressing, and how my teacher had racist tendencies. As she kept asking everyone their race and previous language knowledge. I am still angry that I have never received my money back.

Jason Arthur: Took the level 1 class in person at Coucou. Love the way the material is presented. Carson is a fantastic teacher and she clearly explains all concepts and makes sure everyone has a chance to practice speaking. This is the best way to learn French.

Dario De Pasquale: I have loved the classes and the workshops here. My favorite teacher is Anicet!

Weijia Chen: Perfect space for learning French language and culture.

Tracy Lynn Jones: and other programs to be much more valuable.

Claire Bing: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

Miranda Powers: Coucou French Classes is a go to for anyone who is ready to learn French. I have always struggled with learning new languages and every member of the Coucou team is very supportive and helpful. Marianne has been very responsive and insightful when helping me choose classes that are appropriate for the level I am at. I have had two teachers, Nina and Anicet, who have a slightly different approach to teaching but both are passionate and super eager to help each student in the class. They have work booklets for sale that I would highly recommend as they go hand in hand to their custom lesson plans in the group classes. Although I continue to struggle with learning French, I feel comfortable knowing everyone on the team is rooting for me and my classmates.

Beth Howes: I have just completed two levels of French with Coucou, and it has been a great experience! My teacher, Pierre, was GREAT at explaining each lesson. I am continuing with level three but with a new teacher because of scheduling problems. Thank you Pierre, and hopefully we will meet again in a future course!

Rachael Paskvan: and then went to zoom lessons with her. While she is on maternity leave I have been enrolled in an online conversation class to help me practice. They also offer tons of workshops from online french yoga, to french book club and even a french parenting class! It is an amazing community and I feel so lucky to have found it!

kiran dodiya: I am eagerly waiting for things to go back to normal so that I can meet this fantastic group of people in-person. If you are looking to learn French, then look no further !

Serious Reviewer: They design their own booklets and it's mostly grammar and translation-based. Sometimes the group class moves too slow and sometimes too fast, but that's understandable because the level of the students and the difficulty of different topics vary. If you happen to get into a smaller class, then lucky you because you'd have more chances speaking in class. The best thing about Coucou is how responsive, flexible and pleasant the school administration is, and how much of a community they are. You have to put in the extra work on your own in between sessions if you want to become fluent in French, but as far as group classes go I'd recommend Coucou.
