Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate: what do users think?

RO_MAN: I am excited to share that this is my inaugural dining experience at a two-star Michelin restaurant. After an extensive search for a remarkable and distinctive culinary adventure to celebrate my friend's birthday, I stumbled upon this particular restaurant. Remarkably, I was able to secure reservations on the same day.The restaurant's location is fantastic, situated just across the street from Bryant Park in NYC. I must emphasize the impeccable service and exceptional attention to detail, which created an incredibly warm and inviting atmosphere—an aspect that I truly appreciate! For the price of $189 per person, I opted for the fixed four-course menu. Additionally, I indulged in an upgrade, adding Wagyu beef to my meal for an extra $45.I want to highlight that when we received the first dish as a welcoming gesture, I was taken aback by the surprisingly small portion size of each dish. However, don't let the size deceive you. Despite their small appearance, every dish was packed with an extraordinary explosion of flavors. To be honest, after the fourth dish, we didn't feel hungry anymore, especially considering the satisfying desserts.Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary birthday cake, which turned out to be delicious. Out of all the dishes, my personal favorites were the steak and the lamb

Ellen Sue Borah: I have ordered your chocolates and babka’s as gifts for family and friends many times. They now tell me ahead of their birthdays saying ‘hint, hint you know the chocolate I want’. It is always so delicious. I try and savor each bite from my own purchase.

Wendy Mills: The chocolate was stunning as always. Cheers!!!

Stasha S: Delicious dessert or beautiful art? BOTH. I have tried nearly everything Kreuther chocolate makes. It is my go-to gift for family and friends to send holiday cheer, a special hosting gift, congratulatory wishes, or just a simple hello. EVERYONE I send Kreuther chocolates too is overjoyed and delighted. Truffles. Chef’s collection. Chocolate babka. Christmas stollen. Macaroons. Holiday-themed treats. You cannot go wrong with any choice. Kreuther chocolate is NYC at it’s finest!

Randi Mason: I rarely write reviews, but I just had to write one for this chocolate. I ordered a box as a gift and then decided to treat myself to a box all my own. I’m so glad I did! The chocolate was incredible. Some of the flavors were classic, and others were so unique, and all of them were delicious. The chocolate came beautifully packaged, too. My only problem is that I’m going to have to order them all the time!

Carey Gibbons: I've ordered chocolates from Kreuther multiple times, and they are hands down the best chocolate I've ever had! I would strongly recommend them to anyone who loves chocolate. The word delicious doesn't even begin to describe them – they're like heaven on earth! The flavor choices are so unique, and you feel like every piece is handcrafted with so much thought and care!

Gila WM: at KH chocolate are hands down the most delicious, most creative, sumptuous, artful and delightful chocolates I've ever tasted. Ever since I first tasted them, they have been my go-to gift and treat to others

Trisha Blackmar: Kreuther chocolates are hands down the best I’ve ever had. The complexity of the flavors makes them truly unique. Their gift sets have become my go-to for anyone I really want to impress.

Sasha H: We ordered chocolates and macarons for Valentine’s Day and we loved them. We have done this two years in a row and I feel like they taste even better this year. Lots of flavor in every bite and so much variety. So far my favorites are the mint and the honey saffron.

Kee's Chocolates: what do users think?

Jeff McBride: Ok, whaaaaaat? I just wanted to get some chocolate as a thank you, and that's the best chocolate I've ever had. My partner, who doesn't like chocolate, said, "I guess I really like chocolate."It was one of those culinary experiences where I close my eyes and focus on what's happening to me. The flavors are brilliant, the textures are perfect, and I will take out of towners there as a way to impress.

Megan Edmonds: I love Kee's chocolate. I saw her on "best thing I ever ate." The Bonbons are great! We went on my birthday and she gave us free chocolate! I don't think that's normal, but she's a very sweet woman. It's pricey but I'm never disappointed.

Anthony Spicola: A small chocolate shop packing a big punch. Excellent dark chocolates and interesting flavor combinations.

Ted Heilman: Delicious chocolates.

Lawrence Diaz: Delicious doesn't even cover how phenomenal these are. Many bakers will hide behind sugar to mask the bitterness of truly dark chocolate. This is not the case for Kee since she is a world class chocolatier.

Christina Solazzo: Love this place! Truly the best best best place for chocolate!

Peter Sachs: Best chocolates in the city. The coconut truffles are a particular favorite. Be aware that they get swamped at holidays, so try to place an order ahead of time.

Drew Drew2: The truffles are really great, but very lousy at running a business. 5 days before Valentine's Day 2023 and they refused to take my order because they're too swamped. In previous years they had lost my orders as well, so they put together a box on the spot with whatever they had. Again, the chocolate/truffles are really good, but they are in way over their heads as far as customer care.

M JB: Delightful chocolates, very friendly and welcoming, happy to make helpful suggestions.

Dina Redman: CELIAC FRIENDLY!!! This is my favorite chocolate ever!!!! I’ve been buying chocolate from Kee’s for over 10 years. Every time I’m in the city I make it a point to go. Last time I was there I bought one of each piece in the glass display plus 8 crème brûlée pieces. The only ones I didn’t buy were the chocolates with gluten. Just to let you know, I was almost able to buy every piece behind the glass.

Gavin Sokolof (Gbabyboy): These chocolates are absolutely delicious. My Fiancé and I can't help but stop by for a few chocolates at least 3 times a week. There are many unique flavors and we often find ourselves trying something new almost every time. The quality of these chocolates is god tier.

Howard T: Unassuming from the outside, this tiny space houses the single best chocolatier in NYC in my opinion. The quality and refinement are just so high. Every piece of chocolate is created with a lot of care and heart, and the flavors are phenomenal. The packaging is understated like the store, but I strongly recommend any chocolate lover to venture there to try the chocolate. It’s so worth it.

Peter Tong: Amazing chocolate.. top quality.. uber delicious!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!

Max Worrin: Cozy shop with unique & delicious chocolates.

Teuscher Fifth Avenue: what do users think?

Sree Sreenivasan: Perhaps the best looking chocolate shop in NYC. And the chocolates are darn good, too!

Emmanuel: Picked up a box of 18 champagne truffles as a gift the day before Mother’s Day. On opening, truffles were very clearly old and stale. Too dense, no champagne flavor, and chewy.Sent Teuscher a message through their website to this effect and never even received a reply. For $100 a box, stale chocolate is unacceptable. Not even attempting to make it right is worse, however.

Sonia Khan: and he welcomed me in, was very willing to answer my questions and did everything he could to accommodate me. None of the staff seemed on edge or trying to rush anyone out the door. Thank you for going the extra mile!

Salon Dahlia: Delicious! Love this shop and go there every time we are in the city

Artem Krylysov: The chocolate wasn't fresh.

Nomad Homebody: Good deserts. Worth grabbing a six count and enjoy while walking.

Ann Walker: The staff is always friendly and courteous. Get yourself some samples while you're there and treat yourself to the Champagne Truffles!! Scrumptiousness!

Melissa Duran: Although the store is small it feels nice and cozy with all chocolates beautifully displayed. I love that there are descriptions and pictures to what’s boxed and the decor around the holidays is beautiful. ☺️ A little hard to find and get to when the crowds move in but it’s worth it!

Hemang Shah: Real Swiss chocolate, what else is there to say!

Jeffrey Marshall: Unbeatable, fresh Swiss chocolates and confections.

Daniel Li: Chocolates are really good, I stopped in just to grab a couple. Sure it's pricey, but definitely not much regret here.

Rocky LaDoodle: My all-time favorite chocolate shop. I visit this location and their Chicago location regularly. You CANNOT go wrong with their selection of truffles and chocolates.

J.R. Cohen: ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!

Felicia Suggs: We heard wonderful comments about this store from friends so we are heading into NY to purchase some as a hostess gift for them. Can’t wait to sample

Jon Wyatt: There are two chocolate places in NYC that are actually worth the heavy expense. One is Royce, and this is the other. The champagne chocolates are out of this world.

Violet Evergarden: Champagne truffles are so popular! My friend is going back to Japan after graduation. I bought a lot of chocolates for her as a gift. She love it…full of praise.

Varsano's Chocolate: what do users think?

James La Manna: Great staff and wonderful selection of delicious chocolates. The dark chocolate sea salt caramels the best

Cait R: Absolutely delightful place and very friendly! I couldn't decide what to get so I got one of the gift boxes of truffles and they are both pretty and delicious. Definitely recommend!

Sukriti Roy: Walked past it on a rainy Monday afternoon and decided to step in. The person helping us was really nice and provided recommendations. The chocolates were amazing. Definitely a 5 out of 5. ♥️

Emi T: vegan options and sugar-free chocolates too!I got the last few dark chocolate-covered orange peels, ginger, marzipan, and a few more for a box of about $27 which is not bad at all!Husband LOVED everything!!! Definitely will bring husband next time to try more!Wish they had more white chocolates but can't complain. Store was busy but well organized. Love a little cute wrappings too!

Christopher Addeo: Some of the best chocolate in the city, owner is really nice too

a s: Hands down the best salted caramel and toffee chocolates. Family owned place with amazing customer service. Would recommend over and over

Lo: I bought some truffles, just because I was in the neighborhood and it's fun to try something new. I usually have one chocolate a night, tops. Nope, not with Varsano's! These are the best truffles I have ever had! I need to stop myself from eating the entire box!

Robert Freeman: Amazing chocolates ❤️

Jose Lupian: Some of the best choline I have had in NYC. I am a regular here

Rodrigo Artavia: Great small store, lots of variety, decent price

Stephen Markman: My favorite chocolate shop in NYC. If you walk in while a fresh batch of chocolate is being made/dipped, the smell is euphoric. Marc Varsano is like Willy Wonka ... except,... ya know,... sane!

Anthony Castillo: Wow. Wow. Wow. What delicious homemade chocolate. I stopped by today and the friendliest man helped me cure my dark chocolate craving — the thing is, I tried the dark chocolate almond bark per his recommendation and I think I’m hooked. It’s not pictured because I scarfed it down. Recommend taking a bite of salted and then unsalted. Wow.

Glen Bessette: Amazing chocolate and the owner was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with!

Robin Bisarya: Nice selection made on store daily.

ROYCE' Chocolate Bryant Park: what do users think?

Ralph Cielemecki: Super

Amin Mohebbi: Chocolate is good. The staff is not.

Elizabeth Weiner: Disappointing to find Royce uses artificial flavors - and also to find old chocolates in the father's day tasting box. The actual shop itself is beautiful, though there are only stairs to get inside - very difficult with a stroller. Staff are friendly.

Shachar Ashkenazi: Delicious chocolates!

Koya: my favorite chocolate, but the service in the store is extremely cold. It feels like you are not welcomed. Also they stopped handing out samples, you can ask for one but the interaction I had was extremely cold and awkward.Employees who were there were silent most of the time and just kind of stared at me instead of engaging or maybe telling a bit about the products, unlike anywhere else you go in New York. From 4 nama chocolate boxes I bought from this store, not one had a spatula inside :(

Angela Brown: So glad I found out about this place. The chocolates are delightful and have since a unique flavor/texture.The staff is friendly and funny sharing their love of the product. If you like unique flavored chocolates, I'd recommend stopping in here.

Ken Glover: last week as I am such of lover of most things chocolate. If you're a fast walker like me it's easy to miss, which I absolutely did. It is small and quite secluded inside a hotel lobby. The space is bright, clean and so colorful

Gourmand: From the moment I walked in, this was an incredible experience. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave us several quite large samples of chocolates to try. They are special chocolate is made with milk from Hokkaido, Japan. It’s incredibly soft, anything, requiring refrigeration her, but Doray, if you purchase this chocolate, they will give you a complementary, special bag to keep it refrigerated. We got to try a macho, white chocolate, a milk, chocolate with champagne, and 62% dark chocolate.Let me preface this by saying those three samples were easily the best chocolate pieces I’ve ever had. This store is the real deal, and yes, while their price is a little expensive, it is completely worth it.Overall, this is an absolute must if you want to have an incredible chocolate experience.

Elianny Salcedo: The store is right across the street from Bryant Park, and we were warmly greeted as soon as we came in. This chocolate store is nicely decorated with chocolate displays a large window overlooking Bryant Park.I believe the person who attended us was named Redina, and she was wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable and able to explain the origin and flavors of the various chocolates. It was a nice experience to taste and learn about the different chocolates. My favorite one was the Ghana bitter as I'm a huge fan of dark chocolate. The milk chocolate with the hint of champagne was very smooth and delicious. We decided to buy the combination dark chocolate case along with the Ghana bitter that we tried during the tasting. They offer complimentary gift wrapping and refrigerated bags to keep the chocolate fresh. Highly recommended trying them out if you're a chocolate fan like me.

Jahnavi U.: I came across these chocolates in the many Korean dramas I watch. To my surprise, Royce has a store right here in MYCit was such a delight to check out the store in Bryant Park. They have so many varieties to choose from and are reasonably priced. I bought the Nama chocolate 'Ghana Bitter' which is dark chocolate. These are truffle like and the chocolates are smooth and delicious. I would definitely recommend everyone to check out the store and buy some yummy chocolates.

Jackie L: Two words: nama chocolate. This refrigerated chocolate tastes like the inside of a chocolate truffle. A few years ago, I had their cherry blossom nama chocolate which was a beautiful light pink white chocolate base. I didn't see it during my recent visits but you can't go wrong with any nama chocolate, but I highly recommend the matcha and bitters kinds. Not cheap by any means, but well worth it for a premium chocolate experience unlike anything else I’ve tried.

Amanda Kulick: of chocolates. Honestly, I usually hate dark chocolate but this was one was really good! The milk was still definitely my favorite but I was surprised with how much I liked the dark. The chocolate was served cold and it was so creamy. I was also given a gift bag with chocolate to take home which was so nice. They also had other items for sale like chocolate covered chips, and cookies. Unfortunately I was on my way to another event and it was a really hot day so I wasn’t able to grab anything extra but I will definitely be back to get something!

Jane: Super delicious and to me, the price is worth it!

Ratna Payel80: It's been a while I went to Bryant Park & was little difficult finding the place. Altho my son always saying I am so bad at directions lol..! But the long commute & finding the time to visit this place was an amazing experience! Thank you so much for organizing this event & inviting ME . And thank you Royce for your warm welcome & hospitality! What a delight was it to visit Royce today. I get to sample 3 of their Nama chocolate . My most fav was the dark chocolate, second favorite was the Mocha one; yum! I did asked her about the quantity of alcohol portion in their chocolates & get to know it's 1% , so as per my knowledge it's ok for me to eat. That was such a great thing to know.Beautiful girl named Aria was so nice & patient answering all my curiosity I might say! She was so knowledgeable & respectful ! I ended up learning so much about chocolates lol! I will surely be back !I have also learned that their are some chocolates which needs to be refrigerated because they loose the texture in hot weather. So if you live far like me & have a long commute then buy accordingly! And yes you guys know me, have to take some pictures for the memories!

Lady Ace: I have passed by this location often when I worked in the area but never realized it was a chocolate store. The store is located through a huge ornate door and then it's on the left of another store. The store is a bit smaller than expected and it was stocked filled with yummy treats. There were two people on staff and two customers browsing. However, the store didn't feel crowded.Their namas chocolates were delicious and very creamy. They need to be kept in the fridge and they provide a freezer bag and ice pack if you are buying. I was surprised on how much I enjoyed their matcha nama chocolate. It was creamy and not very bitter. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist.

Nicky: The chocolates are amazing. Try the Sakura White Chocolate!

Angelica Castro (Angelica Castro): I always get the champagne and whiskey nama they are absolutely worth every bite🍫🍫🍫

Joyce yu: Delicious chocolate, highly recommended 👍

Neuhaus Chocolate Lexington: what do users think?

Tisha Mathlin: As a chocolate lover from a family of chocolate lovers, this is my favorite chocolate. The chocolates are amazing. Very good quality, this is by far the best box of chocholate out there and believe me I have tried a lot.The best part is that it tastes amazing the packaging is beautiful. This is the 8th time buying the exact same box . It helps when you are craving something sweet, with a glass of wine with friends!I also gifted a box to my mom, she was very happy!!!!!!

Allison Tucker: Fantastic chocolate. I originally had Neuhaus when I visited Belgium years ago. They have some delicious choices and while this location is very small, the people have always been so friendly and the selection is great.

Lyssa N: Tiny shop with high quality, delicious chocolates. You can buy individual pieces from a display case or pre-made wrapped boxes. The chocolates taste very fresh.

Peter M: Superb chocolates and friendly, knowledgeable sales help.

Jonathan Martinez: Great customer service the young man there was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Thanks so much!!!! The chocolates tasted amazing he recommended his favorite I believe the name is pieere it was a caramel chocolate AMAZING!!!!

Joshua Z: Wow!!! They went above and beyond. Such amazing customer service. Thank you so much, Shirley!

John Waters: First time to buy some Valentines Day Chocolate today. Bought a little red heart box and was astonished how many ingredients are in fact used. I guess that’s the case with any chocolate confection! And it has to be better than the generic chocolates you see in stores!

Jeremy Golden: Lots of cool choices, really nice staff. Hole in the wall with a lot of intimacy

Ellie: I've loved Neuhaus chocolates ever since I visited Brussels! I haven't found them since then which was 3 years ago! When I visited New York, I was ECSTATIC to see they were there! I bought a box of chocolates and then was going to buy my boyfriend a single piece of chocolate. The lady working there ended up giving it to us for free! So nice!!

Mariebelle: what do users think?

Vivian Lin: The cutest chocolate shop! The store section is so cute and pastel and great for photos. The high tea here is pricey. Instead, I would recommend buying whatever pastry you’re interested in and maybe the sandwich platter and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is so thick and rich, it tastes like they straight up melted a bar of chocolate into the cupIt’s a great spot to bring the girls and catch up! A gem in soho

L E: I stumbled across this place mostly bc it was raining and I was running for cover. I heard good things about the hot chocolate so I decided to give it a try. I ended up going with the afternoon tea because why not. It's pricey at about $75 but most afternoon teas are in that price range. This being at the lower end. It's the usual 3 tiers, finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Additionally, a very tasty watermelon feta cheese salad. My favorite tier of course were the scones! I also swapped out my tea with white hot chocolate & it was simply delicious. If you want to work your way up for afternoon tea in NYC, this is a good starting point. A special shout out to Tony, his customer service is on point, possibly the best I've recieved in NYC!

Jonathan LLanos: One of the best places if u like to try the best Chocolates, dessert and more, really recommend it.

Scott Richards: I must express my disappointment, as I rarely find the need to write negative reviews. However, in the interest of helping fellow tea enthusiasts in search of an exceptional high tea experience in NYC, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. Unfortunately, the establishment I visited fell short in several aspects. The food and tea offered were of subpar quality, leaving much to be desired. It was evident that shortcuts were taken, compromising the overall experience. Moreover, the ambience left much to be desired, as the room appeared worn down and unclean. In my opinion, the pricing was excessive considering the underwhelming and tasteless nature of the experience.

Roy Peleg: Best hot chocolate in nyc

Joe X: Amazing chocolate selection!, service is top-notch, highly recommended!

Max Brenner New York: what do users think?

Warren Chan: Had dessert here awhile ago. This time decided to try out the food. I ordered Brenner Burger. It was good but even though I ordered medium rare it wasn’t juicy. The fries were really good though. We also ordered the wings which I think I wasn’t too great it was definitely over cooked and dry.Overall atmosphere was nice and service was excellent.

Anqi Chen: to share and was confused when the ketchup came on the side but it was still pretty good. The cheese was crispy and baked, and the mac wasn't too hard nor too soft.To end off the night we got the Classic European Fondue with milk and dark chocolate and toffee. The strawberries were a bit sour but it was okay cause we dipped them in chocolate. I was a bit unsure about the fire but my friend and I had fun roasting stuff over it. I might've burnt a marshmallow or two but it was fun.Overall, the service is a bit slow as sometimes the servers would be talking amongst themselves but other than that it was a fun experience. 8/10 would probably go back

J G: Last time going there. Came with visitors out state for dessert.Had reservation but they seated people after us.Waiter ignores us for 30 min.Than brought completed melted ice cream and cold fries.
