They have a very nice collection of different brands but the nice and friendly service is what made me buy my frames here. They also have a doctor onsite too.
Jake Jessen: If you are planning to update your prescription or see an eye doctor, it is recommended to call and make an appointment before coming to the store. I really didn't know about this, and was told that there wasn't any availability. The store wasn't even busy when I arrived and was 3 hours away from the closing hour of the day. I could have just called instead of making an in person appointment for an incoming day. Perhaps if you are buying eyeglass or contact lenses from them, you would have more luck with walk in.
S Prado: Really great customer service everytime I've come here. The doctors are all thorough and patient and go through explaining everything about what is happening during the exam and what it means. I never feel rushed which is nice. The salespeople are also always very kind and never high pressure, which is really nice as well.

Delilah G: Amazing experience! I purchased a pair of frames at another retailer earlier in the day but they were not able to provide a timeline of when the lenses could be fitted. My boyfriend suggested we walk a couple blocks to Manhattan Grand Optical and I’m happy we did! They were able to get my lenses fitted into my new frames on the spot and had them ready to be picked up less than 40 mins later! The man who assisted us was so helpful and kind. He even threw in some lens cleaner and a microfiber cleaning cloth for free. This will be my go to for glasses related purchases in the future.
jenny: They not only there to sell you a pair of glasses or sunglasses. They will sell you a pair of shades that will fit towards your need. The associates there are super knowledgeable of the sunglasses. My second pair of sunglasses from them. They provide super good customer service. They go above and beyond to help you out. I'm super happy with my new pair of Maui's. I'm gonna invest in another pair from them. Good customer service
Andre Cotto (Trustdre): I love this place, my mother recommended it to me. She has been coming here for over 10 years and has had a really good experience. She gets high end frames and when ever she had any issues with the frames they took care of it 100%, I'm new to needing prescription lenses and now I'm coming here too. I also had to get my son updated lenses for frames he had. It was an emergency and they were able to do it for me with in 1 hour of me walking in. I was so happy I can't tell you. Every where I checked online, or called would have been a two week wait or longer. I live in Jersey and I take the Lightrail to the Pathtrain, then the Subway to get here. It's worth it. 😁 I highly recommend, Enjoy!

Dennis Gillig: Cheap feel and if there is a problem beyond the warranty forget it. You will need to buy another pair. Nothing can be done locally and they don't fix so in need of adjustment or repair you're on your own.
Tony Palmer: It took 1 1/2 MONTHS to put new lenses in my frames! There's no excuse for that. I guess that after your charge is approved they ignore your order because at that point it's not a priority for them. Also, judging by their web sight you'd think their a big nationwide company. What they really are is a shabby little store in Brooklyn. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and do business with another online company!

Christopher Deneen: - They have a large number of options for lenses organized with details present so it's easy to see what you are paying for. For example if you select a certain Crizal lens you can pick from one of three coatings. I just to see every options along with how much it increases the price.- It worked with my FSA credit card but I did have to upload a copy of the receipt- Quick turn around from sending them new eyeglasses without lenses to receiving them back.Finally they get 5 stars because they honored a 1 year scratch warranty that Crizal offered, it was my first order back in 2010. I just had to send the glasses back to them for replacement lenses. I'm sure there are random sites that would have just said no to me.

isaac zager: PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T PURCHASE YOUR GLASSES HERE!!!Don't be fooled by any of the positive reviews which Eyeglasses Direct may have!!I purchased a $375 pair of Lenses and after a month of waiting - all I got was the 2 pairs of INCORRECT lenses - I can't tell you the suffering i went though using these lens - Eyeglasses Direct did in fact refund my money - but as a courtesy promised to fix my old frames for free - in the end Eyeglasses Direct also charged me for that too.

Brian L: They do good quality work here. So I do highly recommend them. Used them for lens replacement on two different frames. Transition and sunglass lenses. Both pairs are nicer now then they were new. The lenses are just done much nicer. Edges are finished better. They gave half off the second pair. So prices are great, especially if you are happy with the standard lenses. Got the idea it is a small place myself as well but I don't see that as a bad thing. Expect it to take some time. It took about a week for me, shipped my frames Friday received them back the following Saturday which seemed fast considering. I would have given 5 stars if communication was better. Still would use them again.

antonio zermeno: I used to be a big fan of this place due to its competitive prices, but my recent experience has left me thoroughly disappointed. I purchased a new pair of glasses here, but I found that my vision was not clear when I wore them. I promptly returned to the store and explained the issue, and they replaced the glasses with a supposedly "better" quality pair. Unfortunately, the problem persisted even with the replacement glasses. Frustrated, I returned once again and exchanged them for a completely new frame and glasses. I can't figure out what is going wrong here, whether it's an issue with the materials or something else in the manufacturing process. I have no trouble achieving 20/20 vision with glasses from other places, but it seems like this store just can't get it right anymore. I'm reluctant to come back and pay more money only to encounter the same problem again.
Bina: Minzer's Optical is a lifesaver! I had broken my glasses and spare pair, and needed a new pair quickly — in less than a day — because I'm going on a trip. The time from when I paid to when I received my new glasses was around 20 minutes, despite having a high prescription in one eye and an astigmatism in both. Thank you so much Minzer's Optical!

I can still see because I have an astigmatism, but work at nights so I need my glasses. First of all this place saved me. They are very affordable. The lense selection is phenomenal! They are so nice, friendly, and professional. I decided to get new frames because my previous glasses literally gave me headaches. They tested my eyes found out my prescription was not the right one got me a better one. What made my day was they told me my new glasses will be available the next day! I feel so much better and will return to get my oldest teenager new glasses too.
