Touro College: what do users think?

Jacques Détang: Being fair...I hope you find useful the review of some who is currently enrolled in this college. It's very hard for any college to hire 100% of teachers who care about your education. However, I'm constantly impressedhow 35% or more of the teachers at this college don't care about the education and development of their students. Of course isvery difficult to find teachers who don't turn off when they don't get huge salaries or important opportunities to do research.Their administrative staff can be much worst and completely unprofessional.Of course, this college has some strengths to compensate that, and I seriously advice them to really focus on improving the systems and services they have to place students in a good starting job, because their services in that area aren't anything from other world. They are far from being as good as an Ivy League college, or a decent college, and while they lack the prestige and branding in case they have bad placement services, they don't really have a good job placement system to compensate for the bad things they have.Their endowment is miserable and probably could remain the same. They are specialists in making students feel bad and willing to donate $0 after graduation. Probably the stay a float with some easy donations from the Jewish Community, but they lack the level needed toattract real donations. They are discriminative towards their students, and feel heroes because they help lower-income families who barely can afford education, just having enough for them to rip them off, but is because they lack the professionalism to attract more exigent customers. They get themselves into a cycle where they have to be the cheaper to survive, because they don't have what's needed to be the best.Myself I like it because it saved me some thousands of dollars because of the lower price, while they convince to donate $0 and apply to decent universities to see if I can get scholarships as far away from them as possible. If you find satisfied customers, probably were people who were going to get a job anyways. Or some beautiful Jewish girls, privileged Jewish boys, and other white people their staff and teachers discriminate less, and have an easier time in their process of persuading themselves to start teaching and developing their students' skills.Myself I had some particular skills I wanted to develop... And teachers on those areas were unwilling to really help me.The things they have to survive, is having a somehow strong tutoring services, and job fairs within campuses, as events where if you are good networking you can compensate the mediocre job placement service they have. If you are studying to be a teacher, I heard they have nice recruiting events where you can get some jobs and practice your skills, and in other major they may hook you up with an internship, but that can be it... They may help you... They may not. If you are white, a pretty lady, or jewish, you may have an easier experience and will have better treatment. But not even with those qualities you could be saved from their mediocrity.I have 2 and a half out of five, 5 starts for me could be a place like the university of Waterloo in Canada that have programs where you have to work every semester, so you learn more and at the end of your career you built connection with at least 4-5 good possible employers, that you can find and contact through interesting job placement software. Touro, barely competes and the only equivalent they have is an app called Handshake, where they will try to hook you up with many low paid internships and where you have to put lot of skill while looking for a job, to dodge a bad starting point in your career. The starting point Touro doesn't yet focus in getting for you.One service colleges provide, through branding or being exclusive about who publishes in this apps, is to make sure that your children avoid job offers from mediocre companies or bad agencies.

Mary Carrillo: This school is not what I thought it would be. I was told by my professor that the school is not for me.Professor don’t help. I wasted my time

Janay Warner: I was recommended this school by a friend but I didnt have the same experience she had. My application process was not good at all. I communicate very well and believe in the value of communicating but Touro seemed to lack those same values. It was very difficult to reach my advisor and my emails often went without response for over 3 weeks. I completed all tasks on my end and eagerly awaited for a response to move forward with the process but that never happened. Fortunately this led me to apply somewhere else that have behaved in the manner of a professional institution. I just wish Touro would at least refund me my application fee since they did nothing on their end to support my application process.

Rubal Singh: Amazing school for both graduate and undergraduate courses. The education is top level.Everyone working here is super nice and there is a lot of respect for each other.Easy accessible site and very clean and hygienic building.Definitely recommending it if you are looking to add the spark to your education.

Kenneth Limbach: I will be completing my MS in K-12 School Leadership in December 2019. Though the classes are not inexpensive, the program's courses are flexible - they can be taken online or in-person, and every class was offered every semester. I never once worried about being "locked out" of a class because of it hitting the class capacity. The instructors are knowledgeable and I learned a great deal. Would highly recommend Touro College Graduate School of Education for your graduate studies.

Sarah J: The admission staff doesn't do the job. I met once with one agent way ahead the start of the semester I was interested in. Started the process on my own, gathered all the documents. And when I tried to meet with them again, I was redirected to their online application system. I applied and paid the $50 application fee. And that's it. My application was never processed. I tried to meet them again 2 times. Went 2 times to the school at a time they told me someone would be there to help me. No one was there, both times. Called them, never got a call back. I would like to get my $50 back as my application was never processed and I paid for nothing.

Steven S: People here are extremely rude, they just hang up without even talking to you. They forward all their calls to the helpdesk system, which puts you in queue and after holding, tells you to leave a message. Please note that should you need to register for a license in another state, or rely on this company AT ALL to provide records or anything please know that you will be pretty much screwed. It might be better for newer students with the new system in place, but if you've graduated before a certain date you are pretty much dead to them.

Tanisha Colquhoun: So grateful for all Touro teams just want to say thank you

Ela Barati: Touro College is not just a college for me, it's like home and all the staffs are like my family members!I'm a international grad student at Touro College graduate school of technology and I could got a great job just after two semesters and I think it's because of all my professors and the staffs of Touro who always guide and support me!I'm happy for being a member of Touro family and nothing is more important than happiness feeling for achieving success!

Adeel Ahmed: Touro a name you can trust. My younger Brother Graduated from Touro GST in 2017 and suggested me about it.The best thing a like about Touro GST is that it carters students learning needs and does their best to make students job ready.

Kamola Fayzullaeva: I'm about to complete first semester of MA in Web and multimedia design at Touro College. I have learned a lot about web design, concept, color, format, Html, CSS and lots more. Want to get a good career in Web design – Touro is the best place to study.

Daniel Antley: The professors are amazing but the staff in admissions are super rude and unprofessional I’ve been a student for 3 years now and most of the time I help myself with my schedule or figure things out on my own because they have attitudes like they don’t want to deal with you

Teachers College, Columbia University: what do users think?

Janiece Brown Spitzmueller: Love me some TC💙🦁

Brewster Moseley: Exciting and intellectually rewarding educational experience. Dr. Lawrence Cremin was the best instructor I ever had. A Masters from Columbia did wonders for my career. Also enjoyed playing on the Business/Law rugby team.

Ben Fu: I love teachers

InTheBalance Taichi: It is not enough to teach a man a specialty. Through it he may become a kind of useful machine but not a harmoniously developed personality. It is essential that the student acquire an understanding of and a lively feeling for values. He must acquire a vivid sense of the beautiful and of the morally good. Otherwise he—with his specialized knowledge—more closely resembles a well-trained dog than a harmoniously developed person. He must learn to understand the motives of human beings, their illusions, and their sufferings in order to acquire a proper relationship to individual fellow-men and to the community. These precious things are conveyed to the younger generation through personal contact with those who teach, not—or at least not in the main—through textbooks. It is this that primarily constitutes and preserves culture.---A. Einstein

Maria Hamad: They gave me financial aid, and then revoked it without any explanation.

Tnk Trucking: What have you been teaching your "teachers"???!!!

Yixi: Loved the ergonomic chairs there! A bit too crowded during peak hours.

Spencer Patel: This is a great service. 👍

Ema Wang: If you are international students and really need support post-graduate, don’t come…you will suffer.

Ursula Cas: Great location for a campus. The students and staff are great.

Amir Shoaib: Good service
