Alana Chuong: Simply the best Arepas in all of NYC at Arepas Cafe.Just a few blocks away from Museum of the Moving Image too.I have even gotten on the train just to satisfy my cravings for amazing arepas here. And staff are so super friendly! Can’t love this place enough!!Do yourself a favor and go!

Mauricio Lopez: The food is good albeit it feels like it's not as special as it used to be. What really bothered me was that they charge 20% service fee by default even with a party of 4. This was especially bad as the server completely forgot about us, and we had to go look for her to order our food and pay our bill, while she was having fun with others near the register. A tip is supposed to be compensation for good service not a default payment for bad service.

I would come here every day if I could.Me and my partner get the variety of empanadas, as well as the catira. Everything is super delicious and portion sizes are reasonable. Also, the guasacaca sauce is one of my favorite sauces to put on the arepa. I highly recommend this place!

The food has always been good at this restaurant, and even with this burned patacón, everything else we ordered was delicious. Although this was my first poor experience here, the customer service is friendly, and the food is excellent. Before you leave, make sure you check your order.

Charlotte Oestrich: Lots of delicious choices! Only the arepas are gluten free and they seemed to be fine for celiac too. They might seem small but they’re stuffed to the brim and super filling! This is a good place to get food with friends or on the go

malika lankoande: 2 stars because the cashier was nice and helpful! Most expensive areppas at $15 each. I was willing to pay that much because I came approximately 2 years ago, and liked the food. Today, I was in the mood for areppas so placed a to go order at $50+ for 3 areppas and 2 empanadas. Well it was very disappointing. The areppas were not tasteful; dry, hard and the ingredients inside lacked flavor. Not even the sauces were tasty, and I don't get the way the guacamole is plopped to just the opening of the areppas. The empanadas were edible, but the chicken was on the dry side. Out of 3 areppas, 2 made their way to the fridge. 1 was "shared" by 3 people because we gave up after a few bites. Complete waste of money and calories!

Orlando Piñero: I liked the concept of the place because they offer good options, but is overpriced and tasteless. I went the first time, took more than 20 mins just to fill a pre-made arepa that was rewarmed with pre-made ingredients, the food was cold and the cachapa was undercooked. I gave them a second chance months after and again the food was cold and the taste was disappointing. Not going back again. Probably the people who does not know what a real arepa is, will like it. But the "arepas" are far from being real arepas.
