New York Tennis at Great Neck: what do users think?

Jenny Kate: I started as a complete novice, but his patience and targeted feedback made me feel comfortable and helped me improve rapidly. My instructors analyzes the student’s movement with specificity and detail. He pinpoints small physical tweaks that dramatically improve one’s game.Further, He is warm, supportive, and consummately professional—

The Original: I was working there

Patrice Kleinberg: Soft courts!

Yuval Rubinraut: Not bad

Nef: Awesome Tennis learning, very professional ,very friendly with the kids. Chris Tasso is an awesome Coordinator and coaches like Jessie are a gem with the children. This place rocks!!!

nate rabzz (naterabzz): Good for a walk in the park

Tash Q.: Great team and pleasure

Jonathan Oustaev: I got so much better playing at NY Tennis Academy when I was a junior. The coaches all know tennis really well, made practices a ton fun and helped me reach my highest level as a player. Beautiful facility and always a great atmosphere.

Diego Xavier yanza castillo: Nice

Vanderbilt Tennis Club: what do users think?

Alejandro Castro: good secret place

Hilla Gershon: Best kept tennis secret in the city!

Claire: , I just knew tennis pros are not allowed to bring outside students into the club. From the time I paid to Danny, he told me everything is included. I felt awkward when he asked me to wait him outside and needed to play by ear. And we had classes outside your court as well, he owe me money for the court fee because he has time issues over and over again.I tried to communicate with Danny several times , he gave me Vanderbilt policy -- never issue refund for any reason. Danny is a full-time pro at your club, if I'm not relate to your club, why would he does so? It is fair enough to rate 1 star or below.

M- T-: Super cool place to play!! Would highly recommend

Xinzhe Fu: Could improve with less stingy managing and clearer policy

Gabriel Grossman: Great/cool location - tough to get a court though. Also pictures are prettier than IRL. Still cool though

Dean Freer: Excellent Tennis Club with machines

Keshav Nandan: The court is very well maintained and the staff are very professional. They also offer private coaching classes by professionals which helped me a lot in improving my technique and overall game

Edwin Ridenhour: Beautiful place nice location in Manhattan

Vladimir Salomon: This place is one of a kind. A true gem of a tennis club virtually hidden in Grand Central.

Bethany Burton: Great hidden gem! Fun pros and a great place to play, learn, practice..

Manhattan Plaza Racquet Club: what do users think?

Kapil Puri: Good courts. Front desk not helpful

Virgile H.: Great instructors and decent infrastructure, however forcing people to take a subscription for the whole gym in order to play is insane and insanely expensive in addition to high prices for the courts. Would recommend only for convenience if living in the neighborhood

Lupillo Montes: Solo estoy trabajando en este lugar por un tiempo

Jin Hwang: Very nice locker room, sitting area, tennis courts and people.

ROBLOX KINGS: We signed our child up for Advantage Tennis Camp at the Manhattan Plaza Racquet Club. The camp experience was less than good. During the camp, there were two times the instructor asked our son to move. The first time the instructor nudged his back with the tennis racket as a gesture to move him, rather than saying nicely, please move forward. The second time he pushed nudged him with his hand to move him, rather than asking him nicely. He did not want to go back to the tennis camp because of this. He does not recommend this camp for other kids.

Shaiful Islam: 👌👌👌

John Doe: Milos is very helpful. He instills a confidence in his customers that could only come from a great tennis player. Stop by the pro shop and see how you can upgrade your game today!

Aron Pilhofer: Please note that the comment about bad customer service refers to the gym of the same name and not the racquet club, which is operated separately. This club is fantastic. I have been a member for six years, and love it. They are the only club I know in the city with hard courts, which I prefer. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, and they are terrific about arranging games with players at my level. If they can't find someone for you, they have a full complement of college-level hitters and pros. It is pricey, but it's tennis in Manhattan, so what do you expect? My one complaint is the men's locker room, which is hotter than blazes during the summer because the air conditioning is perennially on the fritz. Other than that, I love this place.

Roosevelt Island Racquet Club: what do users think?

Bianca Dankwah-Mintah: The place is quiet

Julie K: Avoid at all costs, especially if you’re a beginner looking to try out tennis through their bulk classes. They will promise one thing on their newsletters and website and deliver a different service without even so much as acknowledging their inconsistencies and false marketing. Pam, the general manager of this establishment, has such a rude, nasty, and condescending attitude that I was appalled to realize this was who I was paying my money to. You will feel especially unwelcome if you are a POC — she hurled hurtful stereotypes against my Black partner that were too stunningly ignorant to even be offended by. I would ask for a refund for all my past classes if I had known this is how they treat and think of their customers. There are way too many tennis clubs in the city with better facilities, customer service, and not to mention pricing to come to this place. Please do yourself a favor and stay away.

Sevilla Gustavo: Members have access to 12 HarTru tennis courts that are heated and air-conditioned for comfortable year-round play.

Remy LeBeau: Great Experience!! 5 Stars! Courteous and professional staff. Courts are well maintained and air conditioned. Excellent coaches.

Drew R: Atrocious customer service and outright rude staff. I mean just look through recent reviews and sort by newest, looks like hardly anyone has a good experience with this lot.

Racket Rehab: Great Club! Best in the city. Friendly Staff and Excellent Coaches.

Cat Funtek: Front desk guy is extremely rude and did everything possible not to provide any help when it comes to answering questions and providing guidance. We reached out multiple times. Please either replace him or train him. Some action needs to be taken because his behaviour is unacceptable.

Brittany Springer: I wish many episodes of explosive diarrhea on the man working at the front desk on Thursday evenings. And hopefully at a time when no one will let him use their bathroom. Shame on you for denying a 3 year old access to the vacant bathroom at the entrance, sir 👎🏻👎🏻

Eon Springer: We did not actually patronize this club, and after our experience here would never. My 3 year old had to use the bathroom and we were refused at the entrance even though the restrooms were not 10 feet away. Ridiculous. The man working must have some serious issues to deny a little girl going potty in an emergency. He must not have any kids, or a soul for that matter. Did not hesitate to direct us to where we could use a toilet prob 15 minutes away. Very helpful. Some people are so drunk on their own power and authority its disgusting.

Nawaf Ben Shaalan: Quiet club

Pedro Mendez: Amazing 👏🙀😮😲😯👏

Hsin-Hung Li: Good facilities, numerous courts, well maintained.

Manuel Fernandez: very rude front desk staff.

QUINTINJXANDER: I love it there very chill.

The West Side Tennis Club: what do users think?

Daniela Atanassova: . A toy Maltese in a bag was perceived as a threat .The rules of the club don’t give you any freedom , feels more like a boarding school with strict rules and regulations .Not adapted for the new World we are living in .They make you feel intimidated . Not welcoming . Used to be a good place, but lately it’s has turned into an ordinary club that is not worth even a penny .

C B: . Roaches and rats are everywhere as a result of the massive amounts of garbage generated by each concert. This will be our last summer at the club. It was a good run but no longer worth the time of money.

JY: This place is awful, the polices are conflicting, staff are unprofessional, overcharge and double charges on the monthly bills. The accounting staff can't even do basic math. Everything is so confusing and no price transparency on anything even for members

Lawrence Wu: Very convenient place for good tennis. Right by LIRR. Love the bubble for winter play. Lots of varied members for fun hitting.

Lily Po: My husband wanted to join club for Tennis, and he also wanted our kid to take tennis lesson here. He called for lesson detail, and responed that we could attend open house. Unfotunately, a lady was RUDE to answer his phone, and kept saying to fill out forms and pay it!!! She also said many time that I did not understand. I am wondering why you answered the phone if you did not understand. Our family cannot trust this unprofessional business!!! This is totally BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

Michael Livingston: Was there for a friends baby shower. But if you like tennis, omg this is the place to be. Very historic within the walls of the club. Well maintained and run.

sky unidentifiedstorm: I like the place. I came for an event here and the staff was very courteous and friendly. It's a small cozy place. They have a parking lot use it. You have to call the desk and inform them in order to enter. Do not park on the street. You will be booted and the fee is $180. This is a private area you must have a pass to park street side. They do have handicap lift on the left side of stairs call desk to allow access on and off. Very convenient to get to by transit the E and F train to Forest Hills less than 3 blocks away or the Long Island Railroad which is 1 block away.

Shirly Ulfan: Nancy is very rude. Called to sign up but couldn't get very far because she refused to tell me what the fees were. She kept telling me to go to the website. I explained that that information I need isn't on the price list. I asked her to help me calculate what my family would pay she said "no". She should consider a career at the DMV.

Shahal Rozenblatt: Great place to play tennis. Good food, good people.

gia sep: Best place to play or learn tennis.Arthur is an exceptional teacher. Always keeps things interesting, intense and helps you improve.Courts are well maintained, quiet.Super place and people!

teri agins: I'm a loyal regular- twice-weekly singles playing with the pros-- at Riverdale Tennis for many years. I love the well-maintained Har-Tru courts and the excellent instruction led by the friendly Arthur Bobko and his team of fine pros. I keep coming back year after year!

Mara Taylor: to comparably skilled tennis players with whom I now share lessons, clinics and meaningful friendships. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at RTC.

Ronni Stolzenberg: courts are easy on my hips, knees, and ankles. My favorite place to play-- and work on my skills.

Amy Jo Neill: Arthur Bobko who runs RTC is the best tennis pro in all of NY! This club is a hidden gem. Not only is he a great player, he is a great teacher of the game. The club is easily accessible from Westchester or Manhattan. A great, relaxed atmosphere to improve your game!

Sutton East Tennis Club: what do users think?

Elvi Thio: They’re currently undergoing construction so it’s LOUD. Besides that a good clay court with multiple courts.

richie d: impossiable to find parking in the area i have to always use the parking garage near by

George: Nice group clinics offered. Most of the instructors are great. One of them didn’t really do much for us. Clay court which is unique for me.

Aniko Magyar: Great indoor surface and consistent, reasonable booking policy. Nets between courts are overall nice to have . Always busy. . .

Klaus Lessnau: top

M E: This court has no AC and very old toilet. Also if you does not play well, you will be kicked out off the court by the coach in the middle of class in front of people. Also Jeff basically told me I can not play anything. And the front desk told me that these only happened two or three people in the past 2.5 years. He basically just trying to let me know I am a bad player. This humiliation experience made me would never come back again.

Guilherme Drummond: Good overall! Just need more taking care of the courts!Great people

L. Z.: Love to play here.

Peter Tsao: The staff is incredibly unhelpful, unfriendly and just the worst of all the tennis facilities I have played all over US and the world.

Spencer Lam: Decent indoor tennis for parks permit. It is quite loud with the fans going off not sure of the dB or if prolonged exposure would be bad for your hearing. There also is barely any clay more like a dusting, sliding is more or less impossible.

Samuel Adler: . However if everyone is OK with it, the nets between courts could be removed to give some more space on side lines.

Sayaka S: My personal favorite indoor court. I personally like clay court better so this is perfect place. Everyone there is very friendly and polite. They also got a shop inside as well.

The Johnson High Performance Tennis Academy: what do users think?

Erin Silverman: Lendale is amazing!!! Super positive, knowledgeable, great motivator, prompt and professional. Highly recommended.

Joseph J Vadapalas: .What is worse, this guy seems to use race and gender preference as a shield to excuse his bad behavior. He sends irrelevant pictures of his status in the gay tennis world or helping minority children or 5 star reviews from first time reviewers when he is asked to be responsible and deliver the service he was prepaid for. The owner of this business has no concept of just from unjust.Recommendation. Take up another racket sport if your only choice is this person for a tennis lesson. Racquetball, squash, ping-pong and the rest are better pursuits than tennis under this Johnson's "guidance.”Update 1: three days later, I still have not received my refund of $800 plus $43.50 of fees. This is harming a person I had to hire to replace Lendale for services never rendered.Update 2: eight days later. Despite promising a refund after submitting a request on his site, no refund has shown up on my card. This continues to harm the person I had to hire to replace Lendale for services never rendered.Update 3: ten days later. Contacted he credit card company and they said they received no contact, despite purveyor's claim ten days before, regarding a refund. Claim initiated.Update 4 and Final: 79 days AFTER taking $843.50 from me, I received my money back. Not only did this huckster not process the refund as promised,, he did not cooperate with the credit card company. This is a very bad human being.

Siena Landay: Lendale is a great teacher - fun and patient

Danika Petersen: Made it fun and learned SO much with just one class!

Arunima Mekala: I have taken three private lessons with Lendale and he is a wonderful tennis instructor. He explains things clearly and he is always encouraging me to do my best. He pays close attention to my technique and he gives practical and easy to incorporate tips to improve my forehands and backhands. After three lessons, I feel like my tennis game has improved so much more than I could have imaged. I would 100% recommend Lendale as a tennis instructor.

Joseph G: LJ is a skilled coach and talent. I am impressed with his incredible ability to teach. If in doubt of who can assist your game, or if you have had experiences with other pros who aren't natural instructors give him a try. I recommend working with him whole heartedly. I like to call him "The Master Striker."

Munisah Brown: . You will spend more time chasing him and his calendar than learning the craft. Very unprofessional and unreliable.

Lindsey Davitt: Lendale is a great coach and made me, a true tennis rookie, feel comfortable progressing right away with his direction. If you're looking for a fun way to improve your tennis game quickly, I can't recommend him highly enough - already looking forward to my next lesson!

Aaron Fouhey: Would highly recommend!Lendale is attentive, engaged and engaging, and boy does he know his stuff! After 1 lesson I was already hitting harder, deeper and with more spin on both my forehand and backhand. He fixed my slice in about 10 seconds. I have more confidence volleying at the net and after Lendale addressed my toss, my serves are staying away from the tape. After three lessons I feel like I have tools that will to bring my game to the next level if I work on them!

Christopher Torres: I think for folks who are looking to start out this academy and instructor are perfect. Lendale is patient and gives clear instruction… not sure what else you need to get going. Highly recommended.

Harrison Scott: Lendale is a fabulous teacher, I just had my first lesson with him after not playing in over a decade and he made me feel comfortable and I learned so much in an hour. Most fun i’ve had in a while, can’t wait for my next lesson!

Oliver Switzer: Had my first session with Lendale today and can safely say he is a fantastic teacher. He’s very patient and kind, and is very insightful with spotting issues in my form.

Nariman Hamed: Loved everything about Lendale and his teaching methods. I will take his classes again!

Sean Mies: I wanted to take a few minutes to show some gratitude and appreciation to Lendale JohnsonLendale dedicated time to teach an old dog new tricks. At 38 years old I’ve never played tennis before. Throughout his systematic coaching on foundations. This allowed me to stay focused oncreating habits in more form and not get caught up in the distractions. His constantly positive attitude is reassuring. He was great at building me through my failures. I would recommend anybody Experience his training.I feel that he taught me all the necessary foundations it takes for me to get stuck in And increase my skill set from thereThank you Lendale!!!!

Natalie Green: Lendale is patient, gives great direction and is overall the best coach I’ve had since starting tennis a year ago. I not only understand the game, better but I am playing better and have much more confidence after only four lessons with The Johnson High Performance Tennis Academy. I highly recommend to everyone looking to improve their game regardless of their current level.

Summer Bedard: Great lesson! Looking forward to more.

Etienne Du Jardin: Lendale is amazing! Very kind and professional! I recommended for all my friends!

Ludmilla Vieira: I had my first tennis class this morning and wow!!! I LOVED it! I definitely couldn’t find a better way/coach as Lendale and JHPTA! I highly recommend it without having any doubt.

Plenty of soap and paper towels. I love the courts. There is so much space. The staff does temperature checks. Masks are required everywhere, except when you're actually playing.
