Debbie West: Unfortunately all of the negative reviews about being ignored by the staff are still true. This was my experience and the manager was on site and obviously condones this culture in the staff. I am sure that there must be at least one employee who is attentive and welcoming to customers but I did not get to encounter them so this does not apply to them. As I do not live in NY I wanted to see certain products in person but was so disappointed I just made one quick purchase on an item I was out of and left as soon as possible. I was only “helped” when I started opening drawers to find what I needed. I will just shop on line.
Tanya W: Staff is very rude here and not helpful at all. Just browsing for products with a couple of other friends and staff was very condescending and disrespectful. I am very willing to buy something too if I like it but I definitely won’t be spending my money here at all! Go across the street a bit to Credo where staff was very helpful and nice. They didn’t mind our group whereas the detox market made it clear they didn’t want us here. No thanks and next!

Danielle D: Been to the one in LA, much much better. This one was very tight and narrow, not a great setup. Two of the girls were very sweet but uneducated on products. Third girl looked at me like I was weird asking a question, very pretentious, passive aggressive, felt a weird vibe, and got impression she didn’t like white girls. It was very uncomfortable experience all in all.

Great product selection, beautiful setting - it is SUPER helpful that they have large windows, so I’d recommend shopping for a makeup there during the daylight hours.Whatever you try on, you see what it really looks like in a natural light, which is very important for anything with color that you put on your skin. Most cosmetic stores have too much artificial light. But natural light is key to see how the colors really look on your skin and whether they match your skin tone.Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. I had quite pleasant experience both times. They don’t hover over you and don’t try to “sell” to you. I prefer to be totally left to my own devices and get help when I need it, and this is exactly what happened both times. Will be coming back!

Brianna glover: Over a month ago I received a 30 minute feature focus service and decided to have my eyeshadow done. What I wanted is not what the final look was. Although I was told the look I wanted would take longer than 30 minutes the makeup artist could have tried to make it look as close to the look as best as they could with the time given. Instead, the makeup artist had already decided on a palette even though the look I wanted was a silvery glitter cut crease. And yet I’m sure that there are makeup artists that could achieve a 30 minute cut crease. I was being kind so I didn’t want to tell the artist that I didn’t like the look. The makeup artist was also kind but they definitely need makeup artists that don’t do what they want on your face… I honestly could’ve done my makeup better at home and saved money.

TiTi's Corner: I received old used products! After paying full price for products that weren’t even on sale, I went all the way to pick it up at the store in 80th street which is pretty far from my place. But on reaching home I open the package and voila I get 2 old products which look like testers! No seal packaging, and looks used. They say we can get it exchanged but what abt the time and travel expense? Who’s gonna pay for that?! Totally disappointing

While ULTA is known for its wide range of beauty products, the lack of friendly customer service greatly impacted my overall experience.Unfortunately, the staff at ULTA did not display a welcoming or helpful attitude. They seemed disinterested and were not readily available to assist customers. This lack of friendliness made it difficult to feel comfortable while browsing or seeking assistance.
