This is so not my style, but I FORGOT a pen, and she had no problem lending me one from the front desk. The gentleman who processed my paperwork was calm and efficient which is extremely underrated in a social security office! I was in and out in 15 minutes, no exaggeration. Go to this location!!

Carl Coleman: I just want to bring to the attention to whom it may concern I was at the Social Security office at 123 Williams St. On July 3. Which is the Social Security office in Manhattan one of many, that I had been to on the same day. but I have to say that this one stand out to me the most the representative that helped me. His name was Mr. TEIXEIRA, whom I have to say was extremely patient. Great customer service skills and really understanding. He did not know that I was a disabled veteran with a liver and kidney transplant and was very weak on this day from running around with my dad. In which I care for now. All he knew was that I was a daughter caring for her father. With this being said, I do believe that Mr. TEIXEIRA should be recognized for his impeccable customer service. It was a really hard day for me and he made it Uncomplicated for me that day. Please let him know I truly I’m grateful for his extraordinary customer serviceThank you.This is not my pickThe clients last name is Contreras

I filled out an application online for a name change expecting to be in and out, but had to complete a new application in person because the woman at the window failed to inform me both applications are the same. The only reason I had to complete another application was because I could not recall if the online application asked for my new name or not when I filled it out over a week ago.

One Piece: The best social security office in New York. They are nice people that care. Unlike the office on staten Island those guys need to hire new people.

Ramon Cordero: Today I had to call the cancer representative to inform them that this particular office has a bad habit of abusing their disabled people like hanging up the phone on them if you are experiencing abuse or hang up from this office I advise you to report it to the 1-800 number disability act office so they could know that we are being abused especially people with needs this office and the supervisor has no respect for disabled people that have worked serve the military and go out of their way to pay social security and pay the taxes so they could have the SSD where in time of need but this office have a bad habit of downgrading the people hanging up on them and I giving you the full information and refusing to give you service so if you experiencing this call you cancel member report it right away and call the disability at just like I did and report it remember anytime you call them have someone record you so they could show that they are hanging up on people and disrespecting them right out of the office and this starts from the top supervisor

Sean McCarthy: If you are applying for a replacement card, make sure that you bring your application number if you fill it out and submit it online in advance. I know this is incredibly counterintuitive, but when I showed up to file for my replacement card the woman at the window said she could not look up my application without that number. Since for some reason the SSA doesn’t send you a confirmation e-mail after filling out the application online, I had no access to the application number and had to fill out a paper form in person. It’s not a long form, but it’s a massive inconvenience when you are trying to get in and out first thing in the morning. My advice is to take a photo of your online application number when it pops up and bring it with you, lest you be doomed to fill out a dreaded paper application like I had to do. Oh, and the advice from the woman at the window was classically bureaucratic: “Next time you come in, fill it out online and on paper just in case. That’s what I do.” Really? Honestly? Please join the rest of us in the 21st century, SSA. It’s hard to believe you need to do things twice to get them done, yet here we are.

Tushar: Don’t go here for new SSN number application. You need to go to the William Street office if you live in Manhattan.The security person here nicely redirected me to that office.
