Creative Little Garden: what do users think?

Anastasiya Turbal: Nice place to have a rest

Venera Varbanova: Hidden gem!

First Street Garden: Lovely shaded garden with seating areas. Enjoy sitting here listening to the birds.

Bowe Strickland: A lovely oasis.

Katalena Mermelstein-Knox: Always love this place. The willow tree is so gorgeous, and the little statues and birdhouses are charming. It's normally very clean and taken care of, but my absolute favorite thing about this garden is that it's usually OPEN instead of usually closed like every single other "public" NYC garden.

William Brown: Lovely beautiful and quiet

JEAN JACQUES: Perfect place

Juan Gutierrez: Super cute niche of a garden! There are sculptures throughout this meandering path and bird houses. Lots and lots of bird houses. In the back is this majestic AF weeping willow. Perfect spot to escape from the concrete jungle for a little while. A true hidden gem of quiet and peace.

emely olvera: Wow

New York Botanical Garden: what do users think?

Geidy G.: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+

Matthias Scheffler: We came on a Monday. The Botanical Garden was closed. In high summer. Hello? There were workers around and while I signaled my understanding I asked them if I could take a peek through the gate. One guy turned very unfriendly. What a shame.

Adventurous Mouse: around the garden and hop off/on at different stops. They typically have interactive classes or activities throughout the week. The two times I visited, both on weekend mornings, there was a sort of cooking or tea class where instructors taught a recipe made from fresh ingredients harvested from the edible garden or a tea blend made with dried ginger and lemongrass. The rose garden was in full bloom when I visited this past June.Usually no line at the ticket booth. They have a nice gift store with plants and plant related goodies. Not sure about the entrance fee because I get free tickets through work. Might be included in your NYPL card benefits.

Randy Ortiz: Loved the frogs at the Rock Garden

Lily Sireau-Jaillet: Gorgeous. This is, in my opinion, a must visit place in New York. The garden is exceptional. Over the 4 hours of the visit, I savored every moment. This is my favorite place in New York during my stay, and if I had to do it again, I would do it again without hesitation.

Jacqueline Muñoz: One of the best experiences, definitely get the indoor & outdoor passes. Pack your own lunch & eat on the side on one of the benches & just enjoy quality time with family or friends. Worth the experience 100% - shoutout to Yayoi

Yan Zhang: Many varieties of azaleas and lilacs are in peak bloom in early May.

Central Park: what do users think?

Nella McDi: We knew that we weren’t going to be able to do the whole park with the limited time we had. We visited the last Saturday in June. We started at the southern end. With a quick visit to the Plaza hotel. Someone online had suggested doing the park in this order and it worked out fantastically. Our first stop was Gapstow Bridge, it was beautiful with the city skyline as a gorgeous backdrop. Woolman rink was the next stop which had an enormous number of tennis courts.Central Park carousel was very nice. Went down to the Mall, there is a bandshell and bunch of buskers. We really enjoyed Bethesda terrace and the fountain with the backdrop of a lake, beautiful setting. Wagner cove has the bow bridge, a couple were getting engaged while we were there. Strawberry fields was very nice, not what I expected, I thought it would be a huge open area but it was a treed area very peaceful had lots of benches. There is circle on the ground that says imagine that people get their picture taken. There was a young lady Star span, had a great voice and sang Beatles music By this point we were hungry and still had a good chunk of the park to go. We went to the 72nd street diner and split a grilled chicken sandwich. It was amazing and best of all reasonably priced. They had an awesome selection of foods. Would definitely come back, wish we had a place like that back home.We stopped at the ladies pavillion to have our lunch, they had covered benches by the water and best of all there was a gentleman playing music and singing. It was awesome.Walked through the ramble. Then went to Belvedere castle make sure to climb the stairs to the top, it is free to get in. Beautiful scenery from both observation decks. Walked past the obelisk and behind the met and walked to the Guggenheim. We did that all in 3.5 hours with some breaks to sit and have lunch. Central Park is beautiful, so many different areas to explore. I’m sure we just scratched the surface. There are so many benches all over the park and many artists playing and singing scattered all over. We saw people selling water, fruit cups and ice cream. I was expecting to see actual food venues, maybe they are in different parts of the park that we did not go to. So if we came back I would pick up lunch before coming into the park so that we could avoid having to leave the park to get food.It is an amazing park that you could visit again and again. We had no time to actually go into the museums, maybe the next time we are back.

Denize Rc: Que grande, de ahí me fui a The Met

Julio Cesar Davila Valero: Excelente experiencia. Si tienes condición es mejor. Si no la tienes, es buena oportunidad para empezar

robert wakeland: If you're going to rent a bike, rent an E bike at a shop instead of city bikes. You'll get charged a little less, and the regular bikes will tax you if you're not used to it. The experience was so enjoyable to cruise through the park.

Carlos Ureña: A wonderful place.

이자인: Anytime except winter! You can often meet the raccoon family!

Binyamin Elkouby: One of the more famous parks. It's all loud noisy and smelly in the streets of Manhattan, walk into the park and 2 minutes later all that is replaced with a lot more peace.Restrooms: They have every couple of minutes.

vu nguyen: It's beautiful, so many things to see.

miguel toubes boo: I love visiting central park

Fufu Rodríguez: Oasis in the middle of the city, it is just as I expected it to be, to take pleasant walks or do some sport

Orlagh D: Looooooooooove this amazing park. There's always something happening, a song, a show, an act to watch while strolling along.

Maria Pilar A.: Lovely gem run by volunteers, a small lung for the neighborhood. Lovely pond with fish turtles and frogs. A lovely and appreciated garden in the middle of the concrete jungle.

Ivan Churilin: Cреди асфальта и машин кусочек райского сада

Candace: Sad how your staff treated a local in the documentary sunshine hotel. I do you it’s not the same now.

Mark Bruak: Always a nice place to wander through. Clear your mind of worry by focusing on plants. A green sanctuary.

Ye Liu: A hidden gem and the first NYC community garden.

Holger Matthies: Playground: There is no playground. Picnic area: This is not a picnic area.Barbecue: Barbecue is not allowed.

Brian Starr: Much better to walk through here than along Houston street. Take the 2 minute detour and breathe some fresh air.

Katherine Stronk: Don’t bother with this place. A sign on the gate indicates the garden is open from 12 to 4 pm on Saturdays in April. So does Google I walked all the way down there and a lady inside said they are closed because of COVID. Why don’t they change their sign. A community garden padlocked to the community. Very inhospitable! If I were you I wouldn’t bother with this place.

Ivan Muniz: New place friendly

Mark Mayo: visualize pleasantly

Lasha Pickett: Peaceful

amanda jimenez: It is not very comfortable but there are no more in my area

Siobhan Odonnell: Great serene place to visit

Adventurous Mouse: Marvelous in April! So many cherry blossoms and tulips. The indoor rooms are really neat too! The desert and tropical rooms are really cool. There’s an outdoor cafe with a little bit of seating near the tulips and indoor rooms where you can buy food or eat your own food. Lots of people say on grassy lawns for an afternoon picnic too.I got free tickets through work but you might be able to get free tickets through your library card too. Not a big line for tickets when you get there, maybe like a 5-10 minute wait.

West Side Community Garden: what do users think?

federico bastiani: Lovely place in Upper West side

Kyle McCarthy: We saw a wonderful concert with Sam Reider and Jorge Glem at this community garden and always enjoy just walking through it. My favorite season is the March Tulip season but there is always something in bloom. Great place to bring coffee and a bagel and just relax too.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome in the garden but it is a relatively small area and not a place to let them off leash.Picnic area: The central area is a nice grass lawn, good for picnics. There are many benches in the garden too.

Katherine: This is a sanctuary of flowers and greenery on the UWS. My parents and I have been going here forever. Beautiful flowers, great for the neighborhood, provides educational opportunities for local schools and more. Lots of events like music and arts and crafts fairs in this wonderful setting. You can visit for free, but this place deserves your paid membership.

Robert Jeter: Love the West Side Community Garden. It's the real Green New Deal😁😉

Patrick Sullivan: True gem. Great music and arts programming as well

Eric Linenberg: Beautiful garden.

marcstevenwhite: i had a wonderful time

Carlleen Wilson: It's a beautiful place to just relax have a cup of tea and take in the atmosphere

Pablo Yañez: A small neighborhood garden

Charles Martin: Tulip time is the best time here. The story of the garden's formation and development is admirable. It's a great atmosphere and worthy of support.

Barbara C: I discovered tulips I've never seen before... what a wonderful community garden... thank you for letting us enjoy it.

Maja Mejak: Beautiful place at all seasons

Queens Botanical Garden: what do users think?

Don: I live the Gardens and visit off. The grounds are the most beautiful ever. My complaint is if they would maintain the bathrooms as well as the gardens it would more enjoyable. Often the lock bars don't lock in the stalls. Even though I reported such an issue on the outside men's bathroom it took years to fix. And then shortly afterward it was broke again and still not repaired after months. No one wants the door swinging open while they are in there. And the bathrooms are not cleaned frequently enough. Not oy not cleaned enough during the day but not cleaned well for days and weeks. I used the outdoor bathroom about a week ago and noticed someone's excrement around the bowl. I happened to use the same one today and see the same excrement is still there. 🤬

Hao Fan: Beautiful space for a nice walk. Love the rose garden

Shelley P.: We had a really nice time at this botanic garden. It’s smaller than the Brooklyn botanic garden and much more manageable to cover in an afternoon. It also seemed to have more plants in bloom for some reason. I loved the quaintness of it and seemed more like a neighborhood place than the larger gardens in the city. Most beautiful hibiscus bushes I’ve ever seen. Only downside is there are two lovely gardens that are off limits and that was disappointing. They were the Children’s Garden and the Wedding Garden. Cute little gift shop with reasonable prices. Lots of shaded places to sit and lovely fountains and koi!

I think it need a better care.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $6–10 …

Madison Abigail: beautiful place and well adorned by the gardeners. I saw lots of buzzing bees and various species all over and it was a free walk and was great place to walk around and catch up. highly recommended

Nicholas Carroll: I’ll never go here again limited free hours and no reentry after leaving it should be once in in for the day and the security guard and rude and stalky she followed me around like I was a criminal like I was on probation and didn’t even introduce herself politely rude answering my questions weather and people were ok but this place has to improve on their free hours and get a security guard that’s nice and polite worst garden until they improve on their free hours and security guards I’m never coming here again

Nahid Sultana: It is a great place for family outings. Nature, open space, green and peaceful environment!
