Adorama: what do users think?

Sonny Hung: Trying to get a hold of a representative for questions about equipment or a sales representative to ask question as you order was tough. I placed numerous calls which required at minimum often 10-15mins on hold to speak to someone. As soon as you do make sure you get their extension because it will be a terrible experience trying to get back to that same representative unless you have their extension.2

Denny Payano: I called in to trade a camera, I was quoted $1,300 over the phone. I drove two hours to get there, and once I got there, they would only give me $470. I was very upset as they would not honor their initial offer. The salesperson said that they couldn’t ask more than $800 to resell, now they have my camera listed for $1,700. Not cool.

Nicholas Berg: I had an absolutely awful experience with Adorama, I have used KEH, B&H and others many times with zero problems. Audorama promised the best trade in value over the phone and even gave a quote I was happy with. My equipment arrived and was in perfect shape just like I described. The Adorama agent informed me that the manufacturer might have a sale and now the offer will be lower, all this in just 4 days after my phone quote.

rana kingi: Excellent service. Very happy with my purchase from here.

rob fields: Bought a laptop - best price in the city - personal sales service / honored a previous "sale" price - great retail experience

John Vargas: I'm so disappointed with the Adorama Customer service. I've been a customer for over 15 years and have spent thousands of dollars on equipment, but never ever was this bad. Nine days ago, I tried to make a purchase using the Adorama credit card, for which I was approved, after clicking "place order" the system got stuck in a loading loop and suddenly my available credit went down to $65 dollars as is the purchase was completed but nothing appeared in the cart. I called the bank and they said Adorama needed to either execute the order or cancel it so I can repeat the process, 9 days after I still trying to get my Mavic Pro 3 and already lost a gig.

Joshua Jarvis: Absolutely astonishing that these people can just never return your calls and expect you to call them... They're the ones interested in purchasing your items... why am I the one calling again? Then when you call, they never pick up. It feels like they're holding my equipment hostage. They baited me into confidently thinking I would get an offer over $800 which was only slightly competitive to other companies. I got the quality quote as everything was in great condition just to be told I can only get $500 for everything? Wow! bait and switch! Because that is a pretty big difference from the potential offer. Now I'm on WEEK TWO of them holding my camera hostage and I just want my stuff back so I can sell it easily on the private market for much more "perhaps much much more!" than they're offering me. I only chose this route for convenience but forget that. Faith in humanity lost with this place. When you talk to them on the phone, it sounds like they're reading off of a script. What a joke. Just tried calling back now and now told that they wont be back in the office for another week? This is absolutely ludicrous! RUN! RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!Update: sold my equipment for $900 within 24 hours of receiving everything back from them. This place is a waste of time. Dare i say, the gamestop of camera stores

Tyler Walkes: Adorama has everything a photographer needs and more. They also have events open to the public such as photowalks to help improve other's work.

Gu Matto: You never know who is trying to help you or sell you what they need to get rid of. Same as B&H. Go prepared and do your research.

Lemahtor: Avoid this seller at all costs. Ordered a Tele Vue 2x Barlow for $134. Received Nikon Binoculars instead. I returned the Nikon Binoculars and they refunded me $10.17. This is illegal. I will be contacting Tele Vue as well as the Attorney General.

Aung Moon: B&H was closed so early on Saturday but Adorama saved my day

Lad Drago: Sent me a used camera. Return and replacement were a huge headache. After a week I cancelled the order and got my money back.

ana rodriguez: It was the third time that I was going to buy something for my camera. I come from Queens to Manhattan just to buy from this store, there this man with a bad temper takes care of me and we were having a normal conversation in English and there the man starts talking to me in Spanish without asking me just because of my accent and there I say no thanks I understand English and the man gets angry and sends me to the costumer center and tells me that I was rude there I call the manager and all he does is say that it was all my fault and Not even an apology for the bad time he put me through! Last time I came to the store, lousy customer service.

Sunjunkey R: This site is a complete scam , do not buy anything from them !They took my money , in April. 2000$ and since then they have been writing apologetic emails , while lying through their teeth,About why they can't return it ,They even lied about contacting my bank in am effort to put me off , I contacted my bank who said that have nothing from Adorama, and asked me to get physical evidence that they contacted the bank ,Instead of that they apologised again , and told me that now they can return my money ,A week has passed yet of course nothing ,So don't give them any of your money , you might as well throw it out a window !

Pepe Nitro: Subject: Unsatisfactory Experience with Adorama - Grievance ReportDear Sir/Madam,I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the recent experiences I have had with Adorama, which have compelled me to submit a negative review. As a professional consumer, I believe it is essential to provide feedback on the quality of service received, in order to improve customer relations and facilitate necessary changes within the organization. My first ordeal began when I purchased a drone from Adorama, alongside the Care Fresh insurance plan. Regrettably, upon delivery of the drone, it came to my attention that the insurance plan had not been activated. Despite reporting this issue, three weeks have elapsed, and I am yet to receive the activation code. Despite their continuous assurances that I would have the code by the end of the day, I am still left without a resolution. Considering the substantial investment I made in a drone worth $5000, this protracted delay and the subsequent lack of support are truly disconcerting.Furthermore, this is not the first time I have encountered such an unfavourable experience with Adorama. Previously, I had purchased a Ursa Mini Pro cinema camera, only to discover that less than a year after my purchase, the price had significantly decreased by almost half. Despite these circumstances, Adorama failed to provide any form of assistance or compensation. Such a lack of consideration for customers after a substantial investment is particularly disheartening, especially during these challenging times when financial resources are scarce. Therefore, it is my professional opinion that Adorama would greatly benefit from refreshed leadership and a thorough evaluation of their customer service practices. It is essential for companies to prioritize customer satisfaction and strive for continuous improvement in order to maintain a positive reputation within the market.I humbly request that this email be documented as a formal complaint and that appropriate actions be taken to rectify the situation promptly. I believe that addressing these issues will not only enhance my personal experience as a customer but also contribute positively to Adorama's reputation and future customer interactions.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that necessary measures will be taken to resolve these concerns effectively.Sincerely,C Vega

H and B Digital: what do users think?

raizza villanueva reyes: It says on the description on Google maps that it's a photography and camera electronics store. When I went there yesterday on May 24th, an employee there said they do not sell cameras. They sell audio equipment. Dear Google, please revise the description for this store. Thank you.

Alfijah Rahman: They’re closed and only sell headphones now. A complete waste of my time running here for camera equipment. Save yourself the headache.

Amber Barnhill: great service.

Zee Unicorn: The store's name is changed. It's now called Audio 46 Headphones store. Only sells headphones.

edmilson dos santos: Muito educados, estão de parabéns !

Garcia Josue: Nothing to say

Bella Racklin: NOT A CAMERA STORE do not come here looking for any camera equipment or any useful advice because they have “switched to headphones” and not bothered to update google.

Michael E: Excellent experience here. I know nothing about cameras but was making a purchase for my wife. The product did not end up working appropriately yet they were willing to provide a full refund. Also worth noting that this was the type of product that normally would not be returnable

Nik Hall: Went here to stock up on some photography equipment while I stayed in New York City after accidentally leaving some of it at home! Was blessed to find this place and the assistant was extremely helpful in my hour of need! Was not as expensive as I thought it may be given the the size of the shop!

Joe Herman: Extremely helpful and knowledge. 5+ stars.

justin berthelin: This store no longer exists, replaced by an audio store

Trying to take advantage of people. If yourreading this stick to round two. I literally clicked sell onstock X as I was walking out and got 244.37 after allfees paid out. Leica Store SoHo: what do users think?

Henry Portell: We stopped in because my friend has been wanting a Leica. The staff was great! Friendly and informative, but never pushy! I had to park across the street in an area marked no parking. They let me know they really enforce the parking in that area. I kept an eye on my vehicle. One of the guys working there, Stewart, told me he’d go stand with the vehicle. As long as someone was with it, they’d leave it alone. So he went out and stood with it at least 10-15 minutes so we could do our looking around! That was way above and beyond! Great store! Really made us feel valued!

Kyler Stiles Cade: Had a great buying experience, No pushing accessories or anything else,In fact I went in and told them I was looking for a camera package I was asked what I wanted to shoot and he showed me a couple cameras-I walked out with my new camera in about 20 mins and yes they did say if I needed any more information on using the camera don’t hesitate to stop in

Marko Ramovic: Love this Leica store !

Katherine P: Craig and all the staff are always very helpful when purchasing new cameras and answering questions about existing ones. I’ve been a customer for many years and am always satisfied with the selection and customer service provided.

Eduardo Reategui: Just frustrated i came from across town and it was closed, I guess Mothers Day they close

Andreas Schulmeyer: If you're looking for a Leica, this is clearly the place to go in the city. They have the usual selection you expect and several special edition cameras. Go check it out even if you can't afford a Leica.

Gary Dean Clarke: My go to place for my camera gear. Knowledgeable and friendly employees

Alexandre Guilloux: Call it before visiting. I was in front of the store a 5h30 pm and it was already close on Friday. Good job guys, remember you sell 10k cameras.

Grace Fu: I love it a lot, the door is not directly opened which gives a little space and feel better in the store. They have a lot of collections and magazines, those photos in the magazines looked very nice!

Joe Zhang: And hinted me to leave even 15 mins before the close time.

Gabriel Salcedo: The least helpful staff in any Leica Store i've been. They didn't treat me well until i showed them that I own multiple Leica cameras, I've been in a lot of Leica Stores around the world, and in no one I've been treated this way.

Space: I called regarding buying a camera that is on back order and they were very curt with my on the phone. The customer service should be better when inquiring about such an expensive piece of equipment.

A Green: Nice small store full of classic cameras

Scott H: Got a pre owned camera here with the peace of mind knowing that it was checked over by Leica. The nice salesman pointed me in the direction of a clean example. He threw in a fabricated metal thumb holder that they had on a different example. The manager looked over the camera and made sure the firmware was updated. Nice box and bag. Had to write a good review. 👍

green mathis: Professional service and attention!

Jakari Ward: Came in to do a return for a battery that I didn’t end up needing and I was told I can’t return a battery…There is nowhere on the receipt that says you can’t return a battery. The exchange and return policy needs to show that if you don’t accept battery returns. Also very weird and did not want to help.

Whitney Talcott: Nice people and marvelous cameras.

Kevin Xiao: Rene and Craig helped me sort out a weird issue with my M6ttl shutter that they had never seen before! Although a yearlong process, they helped me salvage the camera finally

Katie Elaine: Great customer service. The staff is very knowledgeable.

ifaa amit: Fabulous store, great staff, got the patience to explain and help. Premium all the way.

K&M Rentals: what do users think?

Base Shelter: Looking to downsize and get a few boxes of camera stuff recycled to interested people. Called and got a calm helpful "yes we can do that".

Anna M: The owner is such an unpleasant man. They sold me a defective camera and wouldn’t return it.If you see this, I cried after my interaction with you which consisted of you yelling. You can’t have a polite, civilized conversation with anybody. You maltreat humans.

Gordon Jiang: FILM COMMUNITY READ! The worst film camera store in New York City, rude staff and horrible service. Do yourself a favor: Don’t go!!

Anthony Siragusa: Great experience, want to thank Will for his amazing service. I was on the wait list for the X100V and they called when it was in stock. It was shipped and in my hands within 2 days. I will definitely be doing business with these guys again!

Icy Pasika Kavanna: Rude service and unorganised, please go to B&H instead

Rashad Rastam: Worst staff, unorganized store, and did I mention worst staff? Very rude.

Quentin X: and I was reminded again why K&M is the best shop camera downtown. They have A1 customer service and actually know what they're talking about. Ross was amazing and Big Mike somehow knows the history of every camera – I scooped a Nikon Lite Touch AF Point & Shoot off his suggestion. I also learned today they process film so will be back very soon to drop my rolls off.

I Am: They have everything for photographers and artists.

Alfred “Bruce Wayne”: HORRIBLE! i'm pretty sure k&m owners are scammers and their stores are just a front.

Philip l: Thank you Lemire for showing me around.

Alex Pukal: Brought a brand new camera in to sell it to them in their buy and sell program after calling in and asking what time they close. Manager on duty on 10/22/22 told me that and hour and a half before closing wasn’t enough time to look at my camera and that he was too busy to help me. After he asked me if he could help me and wasn’t in the middle of helping someone else. Told me to come in on Monday during regular work hours when I am at work and can’t come in another time.

Danny Young: best and most trusted camera store in nyc by far !

Brian: Terrible Customer Service. The employees at K and M are rude and unprofessional. I would suggest taking your business and hard earned money to much more respectful and professional location like B&H Photo and Video.I would NEVER have expected such a terrible experience for looking to purchase an item but K and M surely made this scenario an unfortunate reality.Don’t make the same mistake of coming here like myself and many others.Read the other reviews. They speak for themselves.

Pedro Juan: pretty good place, do not trust mike

gaurav sharma: I dropped off a roll of film on September 1st. I was told I’d get it a few days later. When I didn’t, I called the store and they said they would look into and get back to me. I called back two days later since nobody got back to me.I have called the store looking for an answer to my lost film for over 3.5 weeks and have kept my patience and cool during this. Each time I’m told that they are aware of the situation but busy with tasks such as “fashion week” or a “busy august”. Nobody has given me a call back, instead I’ve made over 20+ phone calls to the store to hopefully get an answer for my lost film. At this point I’ve been hung up on, my complaints have gone unnoticed, and I still have no answer. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever gotten at a camera store/development store. The only thing someone mentioned was a $13 refund for the development of the film. What about the time it took me to take that, the cost of the roll, and the things I lost? It’s amazing that nobody here cares about a paying customer.

Jeff Verlanic: Do not trust these con artists with anything. Total rip-off. I bought a refurbished camera from them that broke first time using it. They lost the camera for years when I brought it in to be repaired and now they are charging me to fix the broken camera they sold me then lost for three years. Total circus.

Parker Feierbach: probably a little overrated, the bagels are more dense than doughy, and the cream cheese seems more like a sauce than a spread

B&H Photo Video - Electronics and Camera Store: what do users think?

Guille Castro: Extraordinary

Michel Belzile: Must see this place when I'm in New York

Umeshwar Ramrookum: I love this store, they have a huge variety of products to satisfy all your needs.

Eddy Matos: The Best place on Earth to produce

Dave Leachman: The Candy Store for Photographers. My go to store. If you get to NY and you are a photographer, this is a must visit!

Paola: ... Perhaps they price match?

sheldon Clemendore: Very interesting bunch

Pablo Andrés Riera Arévalo: Highly recommended for buying technology and video.

Venecia Del Rosario: This store has everything you need at great prices. I love the convenience of this location and their customer service.

Antoine Benoit-Godet: So many choices!!!

Ralph Alswang: The go to stop in NYC for all photo-Video equipment needs!

Tucker Patton: was just okay, but not what I had hoped for. When I sought assistance and received a sales associate's recommendation to try the ASUS ZenScreen OLED 15.6" HDR Portable Monitor, I was in for an even bigger disappointment. The monitor was pixelated, with poor color quality and lacking the necessary sharpness for my intended use.Given the subpar quality of the ASUS monitor, I decided to return it in pristine condition, with all original packaging intact. However, B&H made the return process a complete nightmare. They claimed the serial numbers didn't match during their inspection, and thus, they refused to accept the return. I had to endure countless phone calls and emails as they struggled to resolve their communication issues with the manufacturers. To make matters worse, they sent the monitor back to me without any prior notification. This ordeal has lasted for a month and a half, and I am now left with not one but two screens that fail to meet my expectations. B&H's handling of this situation and their challenging return program have left me feeling utterly frustrated and disillusioned with the company. I will never trust them with my business again and strongly caution others from making the same mistake. Instead of the excellent service I once knew, I encountered a company that fails to take responsibility for their mistakes and disregards their loyal customers' needs. Steer clear of B&H!"

Christine D: Excellent service !

barbara Rice: Always the best experience

Kayla Moore: I waited a few days before submitting this to see if they would fix and it has not been resolved..so here is my review.I asked if all cords & remote were included prior to the purchase of a used sound bar that I wanted to buy as I could not tell exactly by the description of the item, I received confirmation via a chat with Sam S. that it was a “yes to all your questions” and that was the deciding factor for moving forward with the purchase because why would I buy it without the cords that make it work..I obviously want to use it, its not a decorative piece. When I got the bar delivered, the adapter to make the actual thing work was not included-I got the subwoofer cord but not the bar cord. I called and they said that it wasn't included even though I specifically asked prior to purchase if all cords were included for this reason. Super frustrating. Why would you not mention it and be more specific on what’s not/is included, it wouldn't be that difficult to update that on the website OR TO MENTION IT ON THE CHAT-seems shady to me. Sam S. on the chat team should really look into things before responding willy nilly to things they obviously do not know.Lastly, the lack of follow through on my calls about this was another nail in the coffin-if you would have fixed this issue for me or at the very least kept me updated then it would have been a 5 star review because everything else was great.

Luster Photo & Digital Inc: what do users think?

Leah Taylor: I've been coming here for a few years and by far the best and quickest film developers! Such high quality scans, super quick turnaround time, and on top of that, incredible customer service. If you are looking to get your film developed somewhere, you must go to Luster!

NWP Films: There’s nowhere better for actual Film Photographer professionals. Efficient, communicative, and high quality. No other company has come close to Luster for us!

Victoria Urrea: Always reliable, always great quality, and very transparent if they're ever a little backed up but usually they are super speedy!

Hannah Grace: Wanted to get a roll of film developed from a disposable camera; Luster was able to do it in under 24 hours and the photos turned out great! They scanned them to my USB and provided me with the negatives at pick-up. Will definitely come here again.

Christian Caldwell: Passport photos for only $20 and took about 5 mins total.

Frank: This rating is for their passport photo service. This place provides a perfect passport photo for $20. Don't get your picture made at a CVS or post office—I worked taking passport photos both places in the past and they are ill equipped to take a proper passport photo. You don't want a rejection because the background isn't white enough or something else is off do you?

Skate Donate: Overpriced!!!! For rich white kids

Washington Rosado: Expensive

Alex: Speedy and great customer service. My prints were fantastic quality— this will be my new go-to place for getting film developed.

Allie Mierau: The best film shop — I’ve been coming here since I moved to NYC in July. Typically develops a roll in 24 hours and prints always turn out beautiful!

Pijus Valiukenas: Went here to get 4 rolls of 35mm film developed and scanned. They were extremely helpful and it was done quickly.
