Flynn Brown Finland: We first met this adorable, happy and healthy Teddy Bear on August 7, 2022 at the West Village CitiPups then added him to our family 6 days later. The CitiPups staff was helpful and considerate throughout the purchase process and when checking in with us during Teddy’s first month in our home. Teddy is super affectionate, smart, silly, and most likely the cutest pup ever. He brings love and joy into our lives, and my daughter and I now communicate better as we strive to provide the best care for Ted.

Jessie Dessus: Went in to look at dogs and took one home that was severely underfed and skeletal, which was no surprise given the fact that the feeding directions they wrote on her food bag only amounted to half the calories a pup her age and breed should have been given. On top of that, she was spayed way too soon and has since developed chronic UTIs as a result. Dogs should NOT BE SPAYED before they are older and have gone into heat— Sadly—I didn’t know this until I took her to the vet for her first check-up. Having gotten a dog from a store, I can see why people are so against pet stores now and why the city is trying to shut them down.

Mary Pita Carrazana: I didn't think it was legal to sell puppies in a NYC pet shop? So why is it still happening? Puppies in small glass enclosures?!! Poor babies. They look so sad. I asked where the puppies come from? Of course, they come from "reputable breeders." So I got a name of one of these "reputable breeders" and googled it when I got home. No info?!I bought a puppy from a "reputable" pet shop who also got their puppies from "reputable breeders." I found out AFTER I paid for the puppy that she had an under-bite. I later researched the "reputable breeder," dug deep, and found out my puppy came from a puppy mill! That was 15 years ago. I always say we rescued her, because she DID come from a puppy mill AND from a pet shop where she was NOT treated kindly and only represented $$--so we rescued her from that, and I am grateful that we did! But I honestly didn't know about puppy mills back then. I didn't know I was supporting them. Google it. My sweet puppy ended up having many health issues and died too young. Adopt don't shop OR else we'll never stop this madness!

caroline ombogo: After losing our beloved Bichon Coconut back in February our home felt empty. For almost 17 years we enjoyed all the love she gave us. We grieved our loss and after several months past my wife was on a mission to find another love to complement our home. We finally found our new edition to our family, a Teddy Bear dog, Bichon and Shih Tzu mix at the Left Paw in New Hyde Park. Every time we visited the Left Paw the staff was very polite, understanding, and knowledgeable of all the dogs. Since they understood that it had to be a good match, they were very patient with us.We had visited several pet stores and found the Left Paw seemed to have not only our best interest but also was very sincere we found the right dog and we did. They are also reasonably priced. On Saturday July 3rd we took home our new member of our family "Baci" She is very playful and affectionate. We enjoy her very much.When we picked up Baci they were very though explaining everything to us and we can call if there was anything we needed. The price included several items including the Microchip, follow up vet visit for additional shots, one month of pet insurance and several other items.Many thanks to the Staff of the Left Paw for accommodating us. They also seem to be very concerned on what type of home their dogs go home to, true animal lovers. Highly recommend this pet store.

Philipru4real: Unfortunately, when you deal with the public, you deal with everyone, although there are always two sides to every story, there is the third side that nobody reads into it when somebody attacks your business in a public setting it becomes very frustrating. Good bad, or indifferent in this industry there are many people who look to make remarks that are less than complementary while the rescues want to take everything over and the undercover animal flippers definitely want the same. I commend the owner of this company for speaking up against some of the asinine remarks that are being posted on Google reviews. I know firsthand what it’s like dealing with the public, and while many of them are customers who you appreciate over and over again there are the ones, you wish you never had in your place of business or the computer warriors who sit behind the monitor and Trash Talk your business for no reason other than a personal agenda of their own.

Steven D. Minaya: Manhattan Puppies & Kittens left a deeply disappointing impression. It's evident that the owners prioritize profits over the well-being of the animals they sell. Rather than addressing valid complaints, they defensively dismiss any concerns, showing a lack of empathy. The exorbitant prices for cats, including breeds, are disheartening when countless rescues await loving homes. A dire need for improvement in customer service and ethical practices is evident.
Maxwell Johnson: I acquired a young cat from the store approximately half a year ago. In the initial month, she fell seriously ill, leading to significant veterinary expenses of around $1,000. We were assured that we would be reimbursed for these bills within the first month. Despite contacting the owner multiple times, we never received any refund.Furthermore, the store claimed that the cat had been microchipped and neutered, which turned out to be a complete fabrication. Consequently, we had to bear the cost of these procedures ourselves.Had we been aware of the appalling manner in which the shop owner responds to Google reviews, we would have avoided the establishment at all costs. If she treats her customers in such a manner, one can only imagine how the animals are treated. We ended up paying an exorbitant sum of $4,000 for a sick kitten.It is my sincere hope that this store is forced to cease its operations. The business exhibits unethical practices, and I find it astonishing that it continues to operate. Essentially, they are scam artists who lie and sell pets at inflated prices. The owner deserves to face legal consequences just like the rest of her animals. Upon conducting some research, I discovered that there is an ongoing investigation into the matter.

They were very professional and asked me when I would be available to have my puppy delivered to me and called me to ensure that I was still available at said time. I was also very thankful that they included a schedule on how to best transition her from the store to my house and sent a recommended pet list to ensure a adequately prepared home. Everything was made easy for me to bring my puppy home. If you were debating from where to buy a puppy debate no more this is the best place to buy from.Ps. Frank Pena: Central park puppies is a great store that treats it's customers and puppies with lots of care and love. They put us in touch with a breeder who we received our wonderful boy from. Their delivery service was great and the drivers really looked after our pup. They also provide documentation and information related to insurance, care, and are available to contact for questions. They also are responsible for your pup to see if they get sick and they will provide medicine and care for your pup.

Tina-elena Martinez: After losing our tiny Chihuahua of almost 20 years, my fiance and I were on the lookout for a very similar Chi to add to our family. The hunt was grim for nearly 1 year, until we discovered Citi Pups. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional during the whole process. The dogs all appeared very happy, clean and treated well. We flew cross country and the staff made sure we were set to travel back to the Westcoast the following day, with a small supply of food, pads, and her favorite toys. She has been a joy ever since. She is smart, healthy and so full of character and just what we were looking for!One additional thing to note...the shop takes multiple payment options upon checkout, so if you are looking to pay some on credit, some cash etc.. really making the process easy and seamless.

They provided the medical history and breeder info before any paperwork was signed and was transparent throughout the whole process. We could not be happier with our little guy!
Sushan Thapa: They steal your money. Most of the dogs are poorly treated. Left by the window in cold NYC winter nights. We paid advance for a puppy who we were planning to name soho. After paying 1000$ for the puppy and we were to pick up puppy in a week from there according to them the puppy had common cold. Week turned into month of stay at that place the dog wasn’t having much of improvement. At this point we were not sure if they were lying one month stay with the excuse of common cold starting to feel wired so we asked for refund. At which they agreed with us over the phone to refund. When we reach there the talk was different. Norman changed his promise and started to be very disrespectful. And Emilio doesn’t have to be reminded of his behavior. I hope bar on east side reminds if his actions. 🐺 wolf in sheep’s clothing. Be careful with this shop as a whole. Norman is going to tell you what you want to hear to sell dog. For them nothing matters except that money.

They both didn't have any health problems when I first purchased them so I am shocked to see what happens in there. I contacted my dogs breeders and thankfully they are both responsible private breeders and not part of any puppy mills.

Zachary Finkelstein: As much as it’s fun to walk by and look at the puppies in the window, it comes at a cost. This place is inhumane to its core. They source their puppies from puppy mills and keep them in abysmal conditions where many die. Read the Humane Society Article.If that doesn’t bother you, just know that you’ll likely be dealing with huge vet bills and behavioral issues if you buy a puppy that’s been bred and raised that way.Instead, contact a responsible breeder, or even better adopt.
