Stephanie Hon: Great customer service from a local independently owned pharmacy. They are responsive, efficient, and so friendly. I had a few prescriptions with weekly refills after a major surgery and no matter which family member would help pick up, they would always remember me and ask how I was doing. Doctors found it easy to reach them to clarify any questions or interactions.We rather walk 1 mile round trip to NY Chemists than to the Walgreens across the street or Duane Reade downstairs, which had the worst customer service and left the doctor on hold for an hour or never called to say they wouldn’t have it in stock for a few days.When medication is essential to be on time, I wholly trust NY Chemists to be there for me.

John Lusk: These guys were awesome. We came in from NC with a prescription that we couldn't get filled in NC due to time constraints and lack of supply there. Walgreen's at Penn Station freaked out when they saw the out-of-state Rx, and CVS next door didn't have the med, but these folks could and did fill it. Huge stress load off our shoulders.
Teresa Elliott: Knowing they have a great selection of European products, I popped into New York Chemists to see if I could find a gift for a friend. Not only did they have a great selection of lotions, candles, and soaps, but they also have great customer service. The guy behind the counter asked if what I was buying was for me or for a gift, and before I even blinked he wrapped it for me and gave me a bag of samples for myself to try. Wow! I will be coming back. Thank you New York Chemists!

When the prescription provided to me by the doctor was found to be prohibitively expensive they contacted the doctor, organized for a different medication, sourced that new medication and then had it delivered very promptly. Steven kussin: I had high hopes of being able to connect with a non-national chain pharmacy to call in a prescription. The reviews were good and I was energized in the support of a family owned pharmacy. Sadly although it opened at 9 AM for at least 15 minutes and no one answered the pharmacy would not answer the operator did not answer And it was seem to meet at the mission of a pharmacy is to not only deliver prescriptions to patients but be able to take them in so the patients might come in and pick them up. This seems to be a very sad affirmation of the fact that private owned pharmacies are turning more and more like a large uninterested impersonal unprofessional patient unfriendly institutions. Very sad indeed
Jonathan Jennings: I don’t often go to Xpress Lane, but when I’m in a bind, they never let me down. Firstly, they almost always have the medicines I need when they are out of stock in the pharmacy I frequent. Secondly, they have the best service for both antigen and PCR COVID testing. I called to schedule, got there on time, and left in 20 minutes. Their service is excellent.

Gretchen Thigpen: I had to help my recently moved to New York college freshman daughter with her prescription transfers. She had originally gone to a CVS right by her dorm and had a horrible experience. Despite her going in multiple times, giving her home pharmacy info, they never called nor had any record of her coming in. She finally called me for help as one of her meds had run out and she didn’t know what to do. I found Ansonia online, saw it was near her campus and gave their information to our home pharmacy in Texas. Within 5 minutes, I got a phone call from Ansonia and gave them all my daughters information. I asked if they could fill this prescription that day as my daughter needed it and I’d send her there immediately. It was filled within 30 minutes and both myself and my daughter got a phone call informing us. Outstanding customer service and I couldn’t be more thankful that complete strangers helped look after my 18 year when I’m thousands of miles away!

They are very familiar with your medications and will alert you if they think you should double check with your doctor. They have cool soaps and lotions as well.All the staff including the young men who deliver are friendly, funny and helpful. Avoid the big chains and shop here, it's a dying breed and needs our support!
Kin K: Neighborhood ANSONIA has been my pharmacy for almost 30 years. When Rx co-pays rose and it became apparent that trickle-down economy would never trickled down enough, I switched to Duane-Reade thinking they might pass along some discounts. Well, in some cases they did... but twice, 2 times, they sent me the wrong medication! Not only is that reckless and dangerous, but following my diatribe and getting the correct medication, their territory manager gave me back my co-pays... isn't that some kind of insurance fraud? Of course, I switched right back to Ansonia. Despite Ansonia's changes over the years, different owners and pharmacists and staff, even their square foot shrinkage with their one-block move,the spirit of Ansonia has endured. They are courteous, conscientious, dependable and helpful. They know me by name. Whenever possible, they go out of their way to help. I trust them implicitly. So, down with the big corporation mega-stores like Duane- Reade/Walgreens! And HOORAY for ANSONIA, my neighborhood pharmacy, May you live long and prosper!

Not only are my meds ALWAYS available, but more importantly, the people here are knowledgeable. Ethan Petuchowski: This was my pharmacy for the year I lived in the area, and went there many times. They had a COVID shot available for me before anyone else did. They were always nice on the phone and in person. The store has a nice "neighborhood feel" to it.The only trouble I had was with one medicine, they kept telling me they'd have it in a day or two, but then I'd call back, and they'd made no progress, and after a few weeks of that they said "please give up sir, get this medicine from another pharmacy." I thought that was weird, but was my only bad experience.
Emily DeMaioNewton: This pharmacy is incredible. The healthcare system is so hard to deal with but they do a lot of the work for you and are always, always ready to help! They find the cheapest way possible for you to get your prescriptions, they deal with calling your doctor to get refills and make sure you’re taken care of in emergency situations if they can’t get in touch with your doctor right away. I’m usually pretty anxious about calling places and trying to explain whatever situation is going on, but I’m never nervous to call NYC Pharmacy. They are super patient and always figure out a solution. They truly are a community establishment.

Arabella Gilles: Amazing pharmacy!! I was on the hunt for some medication that is on a national backorder. I found it here! Everyone was so nice, especially Mani the pharmacisit! I needed someone to call my original pharmacy to transfer the script and Mani took all the numbers he could find someone to get to send it over to him. He called me back in a timely manner to explain next steps and I walked out with my medication within the time frame he promised. I live in Long Island but work not to from from there - I think this will have to be my pharmacy! Really appreciate the care given to my needs and how he managed everything. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Maddy Simpson: West 14th Apothecary are the only pharmacists that I ever want to use ever-they are the BEST. They are a family run business and it shows. They are always helpful, efficient, kind, and go the extra distance to provide excellent service. They offer very personalized service and seem to take great care-which is not the typical experience these days. They will mail out to you-so even if you don't live nearby, you can ditch big box pharmacies and the awful service and become a customer at West 14th. Highly recommend!!!
