The Juilliard Store: what do users think?

Yaroslav Labza: Good place to get your scores.

Jam Jacobs: This is my favorite place to get music for teaching piano, though I have no connection to Juilliard. Great selection, knowledgeable staff.

Shaun Johnston: Selection of items was very poor.

HJ Lo: Great store to buy cute gadgets

David Krivit: Patelson; gone from the neighborhood.Rayburn: now dancewear, ok, but not staff paper or scores. Rest assured that the Juilliard bookstore is available for our no-time-to-Amazon musical paper-based needs, plus lots of school spirit swag.

Frédéric Antoun: Don't order anything from this store if you live in Canada.I ordered a 90$ score + 30$ shipping and got charged an additional 60$CAN upon delivery, 40$ of these being brokerage fees from UPS.As a reminder, a book is only charged 5% taxes in Canada...I tried contacting the Juilliard Store's customer service but never got an answer.Very poor customer service and hidden import charges; will not order from there again and you shouldn't either unless you like to pay more than 60% import fees on top of everything else.

Jasmine Tso: To prestigious

nancy halfon: When purchasing keyboard or choral music, I have always been satisfied with the service and selection at the Juilliard Store. They provide the opportunity to review the item before purchase, which is not an option online. Thanks!

Melanie Kent: The hours still apply only to curbside pickup—no entry to the store.

Loren Banco: Only open for pickup, not in-store shopping.

Boom Boom: 👏❤️

Karl 1974: Official bookstore for the Juilliard School, stocking sheet music & books, T-shirts & gifts.

DINA ALAM: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Schedule: Opens at 10:00 AM

Telephone: (212) 685-1410

Business type: Book store

Bookoff: what do users think?
Sandra Bouwmeester: Good place for books good price
P Faria: Muito bons preços de livros usados. Recomendo procurar na seleção de 1 Dollar. Consegui Edgar Allan Poe e outros clássicos nessa zona.
Kim G: This place is amazing for selling and buying from used books to nik-naks relating to anime and comics. I visit there to sell and purchase Japanese manga from Japan. They have any genres that Kinokiniya ( Japanese book store) don't offer. I personally found many manga I had never seen in Kino there. I also sell manga I purchased from japan there for people who may be interested. Bookoff is constantly changing the layout of the store and additional stuff like gacha Game to keep it entertaining.
Raphi Salem: Bookoff is my favorite store in all of New York City. They originally lured me in when I worked on 45th street with their $1.00 books and inexpensive DVDs. Yesterday I scored a Mel Brooks "History of the World Part I." You can't get some of these rare movies online on any streaming service. That's why I like DVDs since you don't have to rely on Internet service. Staff is also very friendly. 45th street in midtown is super convenient.
Lux: This is a secondhand store that sells pre-owned anime figures (nendoroids, figma, scales, etc.) and pre-owned books. There's a good selection of items, but if you're looking to sell something you'll get a laughably better deal on ebay, they aren't in the charity business.
Ruxandra B: Very impressive store, especially the downstairs which features a HUGE manga collection. Very good deals there.I found some of the prices upstairs a bit high, like a $90 Paradise Kiss DVD, but maybe the store just reflects market value.
Tahmid Tawsif Nur: Have sales on some book but general sections are not very rich (ex: philosophy, history)
Marko Mladenovich: Great place for hard to find graphic novels.
Adam Modlin: Cool space with a huge selection. Haven't found another thrift store yet in the city that compares
Paul Hays: Holy anime! A little of everything that goes POP from books to figures to CDs to consoles. New and used. Great gently used bargain wall in back left with $1 treasures. A fellow geek, nerd, or dork? A must!
Currant7: Amazing collection of funko, old game console games, toys, Manga, comics and books
Jacqueline Lee: We are the BookOff’s Fan been to all the Bookoff at the West Coast, love it!
faceless sounds: Great!
Luis Sorrentini: Very nice place..
Shelly M: I loved that there was a store this big with books in good condition, video games, and collectibles. My ONLY complaint is that the books were soooo not organized. Hard to find collections when you have the series in 3 separate sections and not in author order.
Courtney Cooper: I’ve taken to visiting here when in Manhattan to check out the gashapon section, comics, and used toys. So far I’ve always left with a nice score of plushies to add to my collection for a fair market rate give they are imports. If you’re a fan of anime, manga, or retro gaming this shop is definitely worth a visit. The top floor is wheelchair accessible though some of the aisles can be tight. The lower level is not wheelchair accessible but for me that’s less of an issue not that the manga is upstairs.
Sunil Puntambekar: The place has a variety of books and other exciting stuff like gaming consoles and comics!
Amy Chu: 不用的公仔在這可以得到新的家
Petr Feigl: Místo hodně pro lidi, kteří mají rádi komiks a postavičky hrdinů z různých sitcomů.
Will Edwards: very cool, amazing selection of hard to find collectables
アルフォートレグロ: アメリカの中古本が買えます。1ダラー本や日本の書籍もあります。品種はジャパニーズサブカルが多いです。

Music Inn World Instruments: what do users think?

Adriana: Visiting this place is like going on a musical treasure hunt! They have everything from guitars to reeds for every kind of woodwind - percussion instruments from triangles to symbols to drum sets! There is sheet music from every era. Something different in every nook and cranny!

Markus Moore: awful store brutally overpriced and staff is ignorant of what there selling.

Eric Hensley: I can only speak to the open mic nights here, but if you want an intimate setting with a broad range of styles and talent, the basement here is hard to beat.

Antoine Bretagne: A sacred place of music in N.Y.C 🙏.

Mack Blackburn: Nice selection of world instruments and friendly staff

arizona lewis: Felt like a shop on Diagon Alley. The shop owner has billions of cool stories.

Mast Books: what do users think?

alla zaslavsky: Excellent curated book store

Gabriela Tama: Best bookstore in the East Village - no question about it! Mast always has something new and unexpected to offer. I never leave empty-handed.

Shane Cobalt: A very specifically curated book store with emphasis on photography and art books. Really wonderful to find odd titles on odd subjects. A pinch of hipster pretention is in the air, but that's not a bad thing in this case.

jasmine benjamin: Thoughtful selection of books!

Pedro Ramos: Is small cozy place to escape the fast pace of NYC with a good book.

Mark Z: Great books, awful staff.

Ahmad Farhat: A really impressive bookshop. The selection isn’t huge but covers such a wide range of topics that you can easily find yourself list in there for hours. We were able to come across some pretty obscure volumes too that aren’t always the easiest to find. Will definitely be including this on my roster of stores to visit whenever I’m in New York.

D J.: Saw a book I wanted on the window, had a sticker saying $195, Davide Sorrenti - ArgueSKE.Although it was sealed and quite rare, a 5 second search online, found it for $82 including delivery from England and had many in stock. They need to adjust their prices here. Probably won't last long, anyway.

Argosy Book Store: what do users think?

Michael A: What can I possibly say about this oasis of the past? I am blown away by how much history can be confined into one place. Their book selection, their hospitality, the prints, the lithographs, the maps, the autographs, I can go on and on. I am an avid local amateur historian and public school teacher, I've bought two precious items from this establishment in the past few years. I bought a 1864 map of all NYC public schools and a beautiful lithograph print of Boss Tweed. Laura Ten Eyck was fantastic and helped me frame my NYC public schools map. This place is a must visit if you are a local or a tourist visiting NYC. However, I would argue this place is not a tourist attraction or a random book store. I find it to be almost a sacred vessel of the past. So much to see and purchase.

Victor Romero: Nice place

Eric Dunavant: Amazing collection of rare and used books. Wish we would have had more time.

Yohana Defrita Rufikasari: The best place to find antique book! Worth price and lovely ambience!

ANONYMOUS K: I would recommend this store for anyone who is interested in antique books, or maps. The history behind these books is astonishing. The condition of the books and the store is also very helpful. Everything is maintained in order and clean. The staff also know their stuff. It's so aesthetically pleasing, I could stay here all day! Obviously because of the age and what it has most likely taken to maintain it all, the prices were somewhat high. But to be honest, I would buy them all, if I could. If you want to explore books, and be amazed at its history, come to Argosy!

A B: Visited this beautiful timepiece of New York history recently and it absolutely did not disappoint. The vintage prints and books are well taken care of and I could spend hours just browsing there. I had heard great reviews about the staff, and am happy to say that they are helpful and knowledgeable. One young woman, Erika, was particularly helpful and bubbly. She made my experience joyful and memorable. I look forward to coming back someday!

Lisa Kretschman: I could get lost in here for hours…. This place is a gem from a bygone era.

Dashwood Books: what do users think?
Ellen Tsai: The staff at this bookstore is incredibly friendly, and there is a diverse selection of photobooks available!
Jon Rusen: great selection — though overpriced.
jasmine benjamin: Favorite book store in nyc for many years.
Grant Gwynne: Beautiful shop, amazing selection, flawless service.
Liz: ksjv v in cwith
alison m: Incredible must see photography boo store!!!
Arabella Tamlin: obviously brilliant… lovely collection & kind service
Evan Davis: Amazing bookstore. You must stop by if you are in New York and are a lover of photobooks. Magic.
niro MA: 寶藏攝影集書店
Thomas Hammoudi: I am quite disappointed. I had heard a lot of good things about it. The selection is really good. On the other hand, it's totally messy, I got tired of it and left.Nothing is organized, the same artist can be found on several different shelves. Many books are still packed, impossible to get an idea of the content. And many (40%?) have no price. So you have to ask the question every two minutes. I preferred to pass by, it's a shame.
Sahadeva Hammari: A little gem of a bookstore.
Miriam Lubeleski: Favorite Bookshop. Super nice people here and close to my stores I love in lower East side like The Frankie Shop, Pilgrim New York, Desert Vintage on Orchard, James Veloria on East Broadway, Ritual Vintage on Broome. Books and cool clothes at a discount? What can be better in New York?
Gunnar K: A total treat. An essential photo book destination.
Rory Arthur: Miwa Susuda is an amazing manager. She was so kind to teach me about her store and book editing. It's always a pleasure to see their selection and catch up.
Nils Decker: Just had my first and only experience with this business. I ordered something from their website of a photographer that I admire that he advertised on Instagram as a book. I ordered three copies of it because it seemed like a good price ($18 per copy) and well, because I like his work. I also paid $15 for shipping to Canada. What I received is what you can see in the attached pictures. It's literally 5 sheets of paper stapled together in the center and folded over. there is no cover, not protection, nothing to keep it intact.I contacted them and told them that I was unhappy with my purchase. The response was: sorry that you don't like it, you can send it back as long as it's in mint condition, we won't cover your shipping cost. The declared customs value of this was $0.68 per copy, which I think is probably a fair value. I could have done a better job at my home printer with a screenshot of the images and it would have taken me 3 minutes to put together a cover to not make it an amateurish job like this.
Edward Grant: Secreted below grade, down a flight of exterior stairs at 33 Bond Street, this is the hip, East Village home for great art books. Intimate and cool, it is a frequent venue for art events. Pretend it's our little secret.
Nathan Ford: Great amount of selection, and the worker was very kind and knowledgable. Went in looking for a photo book and left with three at a good price. A great spot to pick up a zine or a more well known book.
Lucas Hoops: Very interesting selection of books, good suggestions from owners for books
CLAY NIELSEN: A very well curated book store for photography and art books.Miwa is very sweet and will recommend books based on your tastes and likes. She has introduced me to many artists I would not have found on my own.I often come here for book signings or just to browse for inspiration. It's an easy place to spend a lot of money, don't be shocked when you see the prices. They have a great selection of rare, limited, and signed books of various editions. It is a wonderful store to start your dream library or find the perfect gift.
David W: Great photography bookstore! Definitely could use a better organization to make it easier to find stuff, but I have found the staff to be more than helpful on multiple occasions. Often find myself in a nice conversation with the staff or patrons. This are the businesses that make NYC awesome!
Jam Yoo: Great small shop in a hip neighborhood. Great selections of art books and rare publications. The interior is also neat with natural woods. They also hold a decent selection of local artist zines and publications that are always nice to go through

Ashley Greene: incredible collection

Josiah Cuneo: Essential and historic record store for jazz, experimental, and new music. Super knowledgeable staff, and impressive collection of rare and out of print albums.

Alek Duba: Great record spot with a really knowledgeable group! They also do live events!!I've stopped by a couple of times, and the collection is small, but very well curated. The owner is knowledgeable, available, and kind. One of the first spots I found on my record collecting journey and one of my favorites.

Brian Williams: "Good Good People there" 👍😁🔌🎧🥁

Andrew Shay: A perfect shop—good vibes, deeply knowledgeable yet approachable staff, excellent selection of CDs and vinyl, and they’ve been supporting the improv community in NYC and abroad for over 30 years.Drop in, say hi, grab some records and stay for an in-store show!

Pat Mogianesi (ScottishUnicorn): Rad selection of stuff, lots of neat jazz, rock, n weird stuff.

M.Anıl Yüzer: Best of best in town

Tim B: Very tiny space with interesting collection of CDs and records. Owner very friendly. More CDs than vinyl.

daniele mesiti: awesome staff that isn't overwhelming with music knowledge and pretentious like most record shops. the selection is pretty vast and the suggestions i was given ended up being records i bought and have already thoroughly enjoyed. it's nice to feel like you're looking for something everyone might know only to find that you found something better and obscure and there's far more novelty in that item

Ahmed Eraj: i love this store!

Adalberto Valle: Wonderful, has inventory rarely found in other brick and mortar stores-which a few of us still enjoy shopping at. Too highly recommended!

Edo Cryst: Household items, a universal bookstore and a gift shop, all with a Japanese theme. Excellent place. Dining room on the top floor where they sell bentos

T. H.: Great place to shop Toku merch 😳❤️

Dave Johnson: Cool!

Angelina Colbert: Great bookstore with all the anime!

Sidney Li: amazing manga store with one of the biggest selections you can find around here! only qualm is that things can definitely get pricy but a lot of things are imported so it is understandable. good service and frequent restocks and shipments so there is always something new. they carry japanese manga/light novel copies upstairs as well as regular english books on their ground floor. theh also carry a wide assortment of japanese goods and magazines. the downstairs is full of magazines and stationary as well.

Jarrod Townsend: It's great to actually see such an extensive inventory of manga and anime collectibles that you normally only see online.

Joshua Wilmsmeyer: 12 yr old girl's comments...."Good""I like that all the anime and manga is upstairs and in one place""I didn't feel overwhelmed. It felt very inviting and comfortable.""The cafe upstairs had really good bubble tea. I liked it a lot."Father's comments:Really nice, clean, wide-open store. Very welcoming to regular book readers, anime enthusiasts, and Japanese speakers. The notebook/stationary section in the basement was thorough but targeted mainly towards a Japanese audience. The staff were friendly. Prices were fair for the location so close to Rockefeller Plaza. The anime and manga section upstairs really was thorough but organized in a very American way.

Loreto Fraser Villablanca: A big variety of books and something else...

Matteo Legault: #1 stop in NYC for Manga/Anime fans. Extreme variety. If you enjoy Japanese content, you will be 100% pleased.

Liudvika Davidonite: Consistently excellent selection of incredibly rare books, and the staff is warm and gracious. A true gem!

Jose R: It is a unique place, a very exclusive bookstore with very special books. First editions of important books. Everything is spotless, luxury is breathed and it is very interesting to visit.

Gerald King: Beautiful bookstore. They have a huge selection.

Nick Taber: Huge amount of respect for this place. I went here when I was a kid. They were far more gracious and sharing to me off the street than the special collections section of my university library. Very non-elitist despite selling things that are very expensive. No snooty attitude, just passion for what they do. They let me look through incredible books, handle them - even though I had no intention of buying them. Amazing service this place does. Thank you and keep it up.

erin wagnon: Very unique book shop and very pricey!

Vanessa Prieto Sandoval: Enter with curiosity and the truth is a surprising place for lovers of reading

Claire H: An amazing place to get lost in

Brandon Wang: Very helpful staff, was able to access and view many signed editions from some of my favorite authors. Would come again!

Danielle Keener: Not the types of books to peruse and handle physically but if you are looking for something specific their catalog is extensive. The young lady and man were very nice and present. Elegant shop

Mia lopez: i just wanted to know if its okay to read inside and also if your hiring?

Phurba Sherpa: Nice Place

Aman Mishra: Best book store where every type of books are available here. If you want rare books like ancient and historical books, you can contact the owner directly . If those books are available at that time , he will manage and give you that rare book but if any book is not available there, you can visit some other stores.. 👍👍

Graeme Littler: Always and amazing store to drop in on. Amazing rare books right before your eyes.

Brent L: Collectors only. I'm serious.

Zachary S: Weird Book shop. Very fancy selection of autographs and rare books. You gotta have $ to get these though!
