Metropolitan Swimming Pool: what do users think?

Ravi Sachidanandam: Beautiful old bath house, great pool, excellent staff and great clientele. There are ample adult swim hours everyday of the week, except Saturdays. Best to check with the help desk to get the latest schedule. There are also time slots reserved for women, kids etc. So something for every group. There is also a gym attached. Lots of free classes. It is city owned, the price can't be beat and membership gives one access to facilities all over the city

Alex Thompson: Too crowded at times.

Jowana Jowana: This place closed for kids at 6:29

Terry Jones: A good place to get your workout on. Bikes, weight room treadmills and of course the swimming pool,I love this place

it's tony and lydia: This is a review only about the pool area, haven’t been upstairs. It can get crowded at times but for a local pool it’s a great option. Be prepared to be swimming with multiple people to a lane, at peak times it can be a little overwhelming but always worth it. Don’t forget your lock!

Aurora Lema: Best swimming place ever

davidhunternyc: have nothing to do with adding lane lines to swimmers can swim laps. Two lane lines would require ZERO additional space and lap swimmers are great swimmers. Far less attention is needed for lap swimmers than for people in the pool who have difficulty swimming. Most people are happy splashing around but, for many of us, lap swimming is exercise, the best exercise for the body. When asked, another lifeguard said, "This isn't a pool for lap swimming." Really? A pool this huge and they can't provide a couple of lane lines? This is irresponsible. An excuse. McCareen Park Swimming Pool must do better.

Anna Perkowska: Nasty staff that gives you TSA vibe. They won’t let you bring anything but a towel, and a water bottle. You must have your own lock to put away the “street clothes”. Very bizarre experience.Visited on Weekday Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …

Victoria: STAY AWAY!! The women locker staff is horrendous. They are racist and if you're light skinned colored, they will scream at you for no reason and try to intimidate you.

ajshd2: The pool is amazing but the locker staff is the worst!! The locker staff scream like crazy and always have a horrible attitude for no reason. Won't be coming back to this jail like environment.

Arianna Navarro: The staff is so rude. I was wearing the SAME shorts I was wearing last time and they wouldn't let me in. When I asked why they were saying "don't ask me why". I saw that they were giving another woman a hard time. There rules about clothing is confusing and ridiculous.

Alejandro Valdivia: very nice everything

Maryory Luna: Nos pusieron problema porque somos emigrantes ... Nos ablaron muy grosero y casi nos sacan a las paradas ... Literal rasismo o nose que es lo que le pasa a esta gente

Rashonda Warthen: Your standing in line for over hour. Staff have not so good attitude towards family and kids. Need better serviceVisited on Weekday Wait time 1 hr+ Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …

Laurie Hyacinthe: Amazing pool! It's huge! Super nice facilities. The water is clear and beautiful.Unfortunately there was no lap swim lanes today but they did have them when I came last year. The lifeguard said they open space for lap swim when it's less busy so more likely in the morning then when I came in the evening. Would have been nice but I still managed and I think this pool is the best in NYC

Miguel Emilio Lopez Rodriguez: Used to work here. The park looks great even at night.

Ian Dominguez: Love jt

Mike Engel: The Bronx leads again. The only Burrough with a floating pool.

Jenn Curet: Too many breaks

Michael Latimer: Never been on a floating pool b4.. it's cool when big boats go by, you can actually feel the pool water move from side 2 side.. however they need a better system when the pool is full.. some people who just got out slip through and et back in while people who haven't been in yet have to wait till next session. This isn't fair..

thomas foster: Great 👍

Mig Piz: Good pool

John Wainwright: Very clean. Not that many people and line to get in was not long.

John Jay Pool: what do users think?

Asmaa Hatem: Clean place. Very nice staff.

Priscilla Salib: Nice little location ❤❤❤ What a beautiful experience 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️👙👙

Jean-Nicholas Lajoie: Belle piscine...activitée gratuite à NYC. Apporter votre cadenas.

Alma Malik: . We had to wait because the pool was at capacity. The locker room and pool are both relatively clean. Come early if you don't want to wait because it seems to get crowded quickly!

Sonia Kosseff: Terrible!! The staff at the pool change the rules without notice!! I am disabled and was turned away because I did not have a lock!! The items with me are necessary for medical reasons.. a pulse oximeter, a rescue inhailer, my oxygen tank, and in case of emergency my cellphone. All of which I keep neatly in a cart with wheels.I was turned away after waiting in 90-degree heat!! This violates every accessibility law! I am elderly in my mid-60s. They should be ashamed! I was allowed in the week before without question. Awful!

Blake Loren Friday: Went for the last session before the pool closed. Icies, ice cream truck outside. Lucky good parking. Police and all staff at pool, did a great job using wrist bands to de-escalation of a potential problem. A lot of places for kids of all ages to play in Park areas. Beware of your surroundings. Everyone was friendly! Cloroine didn't burn my eyes. Clean. 🙏

jaime fuest: I live for this pool but lately the rough housing, agressive splashing and screaming are out of control. I got there today at 630 after racing there from being let off at 6 and was denied entry by a cop who said, "Then I'll have to let everyone in". One, I came yesterday at 6:30 and was let in just fine. TWO? THERE WAS NO ONE BEHIND ME. I pay exorbitant amounts of taxes and money to live here and this is the treatment. Most of the other pools are closed too!! A strongly worded letter is in order. Also, permitting babies in diapers isdisgusting. That should be a rule change.

Lilia Castillo: The complaint is for those who work outside the pool, they don't know how to organize, they are rude to people and they don't give priority to people according to their arrival time.

Kevin Morales: Awesome

Lynda Martin-McCormick: Clean, cool, trees around, even a bit of shade. Loved it.

Elena: The staff here must be from Rikers Island. It's abhorrent, how they are treating the taxpayers that pay their salaries. So much joy at interrogating and humiliating people. Why can't the richest city in the country hire normal and friendly staff? Or is it because only poor people are expected to come here so it's OK to treat them like dirt? Such a pity that such a great pool is marred by city staffing

Irit Blumenthal: Lots of laws ti one pool … too much … but the water were clean, cold and refreshing and the stuff is nice .Not nice to create sessions for an hour but I was told there is a reason for that .

FRANCINE TALT: Hidden Gem 🤫

Ralph B.: Enjoyed my time here 🏊‍♂️

Jaykツ: They don’t let u wear full face goggles,Life guard sleeps on the chair there are Karen’s it’s only nice in the afternoon where is less pack

Maximillian Hill: Great pool in a great location. Free to the public. The staff is not very friendly, but other than that, it was a great experience.

Victoria Tambone: I usually love this pool but online it states the session is from 11-3 and by 2:45 the life guarding was literally yelling at people to get off the deck , telling me she had to eat her lunch meanwhile the break is from 3-4 not 2:45. Extremely aggressive and rude

Stacey Clamp: Such a lovely facility, and friendly staff.

skjc: Good conditions, staff friendly and helpful. Toddler pool was unfortunately closed or under constructions.

Sandy Guerrero: Great staff , clean pool , very safe .

Chinita Reyes: Very nice place, clean, organized, friendly crew and big pool.

Aqua Beba: what do users think?

Maylin Loja: 🤗

Penelope Krvavac: Love Aquabeba!!! My favorite activity, so great full for this life skill. 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️

desalbee: Aqua Beba is the best!!! My daughter is 5 and has been taking classes since she was 1 years old. She is a confident little fish everywhere we go and we can’t get her out of the water. Thank you for such an amazing program!

deisy alexandra macias gamboa: Super great professors

Dorothy McGivney: but just as importantly the owners really CARE about the children who are enrolled as students! This is a small local business that has helped our son learn to swim from the time he was just a small baby to the elementary school aged kid he is today.

Kristin Lum: and every year since has just become stronger and more competent in the water. Danilo

Geri Hinkle: My daughter started with Aquabeba when she was just 7 months old and I owe my daughters love of swimming to them. Their techniques are great to get babies and children comfortable with swimming and then the necessary training so they can swim safely. We have loved all the instructors and pool staff. And we have seen other swim schools and I really don't feel any have compared to AquaBeba. I really appreciate how everything is very organized and professional. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Annie Weeks: So pleased with the experience that we've had at Aquabeba. The staff is so welcoming and we are so glad we enrolled our 3 year old after Covid. We put swim lessons at the top of our list for his 3rd birthday and could not be happier with the care that we have received from the instructors. We recommend Aquabeba to anyone who will listen and have even been able to get a lot of our friends to join in too. This is a great establishment and I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

Mike Horton: It was very nice 👍

Carrie Fields Amy: I have only had a fantastic experience with Aqua Beba and wish our kiddo could stay in the program forever! Unfortunately, we made the very difficult decision to move out of the neighborhood during COVID and will miss the special times in the pool with them. They were prompt, courteous and understanding of our circumstance and gave us a full refund for the sessions we were not able to attend. I know this has been especially hard on them having to completely shut down as this is a small family business. I'm happy to see they are back open and helping more kiddos, giving them the confidence they need in the water. 3 3 3

Brisly Monroy: Great work environment ❤️ Love seeing how the kids are excited to learn. Love being a part of the Aquabeba Family

Kyle Field: I echo everything that Alessandro Zanelli wrote in their review. Our family absolutely loved Aqua Beba's classes and instructors, but sadly our experience post-COVID was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We STILL never received a refund for the hundreds of dollars that we paid for swim lessons in early 2020 that never even took place due to COVID. Credit towards a future class was not really an option since we were not interested in putting our child at risk by attending swimming lessons during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC! Not to mention we have since moved from the area and will never be attending Aqua Beba classes in the future. We have been forced to file a legal suit with the NYC small claims court and hope someday this can be resolved, but everyone needs to be very cautious of this business. I would never recommend anyone attend their classes, and there are plenty of better options. They are extremely unethical and unfortunately have lost all credibility in my eyes.

Alessandro Zanelli: were: 1

Jason Rivas: Great way for a child to learn to swim, small groups, individual attention, and tons of safety

Illya Tarasenko: The instructors are great. We’ve been taking our kid since 4 months old. He is 1 year now. He loves going. Was a great recommendation that I want to pass along here.

Douglass and DeGraw Pool: what do users think?

anil Mahrjan: I went to pool thinking it's nice one but when I look underwater with swim glass, I saw very dirty. It looks like they don't change water often.i saw plastic parts, paint peeling off from bottom and sands.

Jazzy: The staff are friendly and polite. The pool is clean and perfect temperature

Chris Smith: It is a safe pool where you can play and relax even when you have a 1 , 2, 3 you can take them to the 1 ft pool

Malachi Culpepper: I don't like Ed here

Sabzijat Sabz: No water

Luisa Melo: Very fun and clean I love it there are good and nice employees

Johan Nilsson: I really like this public pool. The staff are nice and seldom blow the whistle. The pool is 3 feet deep which is perfect. The place is clean and well organized.Don't bring a big bag, the lockers are very small.

Morning Star: Place is clean and it wasn’t crowded which is a good thing but they are overly strict. You are only allowed to bring a towel and bottle of water into the pool area. No cellphones, yes you read that right not cellphones allowed; also when we got hungry I wasn’t allowed to bring my cooler bag with our sandwiches and drinks to the eating area so I had to return to the locker room take everything out of the bag and carry it without a bag, I almost drop something but made it to the table.Once the clock hits 2:45 pm they start rushing everybody out and start yelling “you only have five minutes to chance” !Once you are in the lockers trying to get your things out and change they continue yelling and rushing you. Imagine you getting dress while simultaneously changing your kid and someone yelling:You have five minutes “! Not a good experience. They are overstaffed also.

Mika ruiz: It is a clean pool and the people are very friendly, cool off this summer!!

Highbridge Pool: what do users think?

raymond santiago: I used to love going here as a kid but today I went thru the worse pool experience ever I understand all the of the rules of all public pools my wife was thrown out for having her phone according to pool rules there are no phone aloud on pool deck granted my issue with the rule of no phones on deck should apply for everyone life guards on there phones while on duty which would distract them saving live an doing there job adequatelyThis rule is set mainly to stop child exploitation but how do we know that these employees are not taking pictures or videos of people that visit this pool everyday I file a complaint with the parks department an for the sergeant that was on duty on the pool deck conducted her self very poorly an unprofessional me an my wife will be filing a lawsuit against the parks dept

Hilonka Rodriguez: Me Encantó Todo Muy Limpio, Tranquilo, Seguridad, Totalmente Renovada Está Muy Linda.

Steisy Santos: No me gustó ND porq hay demasiados códigos de vestimenta solo para bañarse y nisiquiera en las piscinas privadas es así, así q no sirve para ND volver a ir

Jailene Marte: It’s big and fun but so ghetto, smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

Raquel Cadawan: Great pool, staff is nice , and the sprinkler area is so cool! ….sand box, games and lounge chairs. It’s The only public pool worth visiting in the city.

Екатерина Тимофеева: They never have enough staff

Micahs Gaming: It was fun the only thing is that the capacity of people is 89 and u have to get a wrist band to wait untill the next section at 4 and also once u come back with the wrist band u can skip the line but it's not fair tht there's so much people waiting to get skipped by other people and the pool would end up being full again and also the water is dirty and only a quarter of the pool is open half of the time and u get no space to swim in and also the staff is racist on the boys entrance and u can't get in without a lock even if the person who ur with has a lock and goes in before u,they still won't let u in,but after all it's a good pool/would probably recommend

Alexa Brandon: This place isn’t like it used to be. It’s gotten even more ghetto with the younger generation. You can barely enjoy yourself. There’s a lifeguard shortage. You cant bring any type of floating devices to help your kid. Unless it’s built in. They have you sit on one side. And only open less than half of the pool because of the shortage. The staff can be rude and mean. Def need an attitude adjustment or just quit!!

Andy Stark: , sunblock, water, hat and towel. Weird schedule - closes at 3 reopens at 4pm.Amazing for the hot day.Enjoy✨

Julia Bovenzi: The renovations this year are great - there is now a fun splash pad area with outdoor games including a sand box, large "connect 4", large chess, and water features. The pool itself was also clean and well maintained when I went recently.

Anna Mati: Tranquilo, limpio y grande , buenos si vas con Niños

Ingrid Deaza: I think it's nice and I'm going this summer with my kids ☺️

김채원: for changing which was really uncomfortable and dirty. And it turns out there was indoor changing room in another place people can use.At there I should change my clothes on cement floor. And when I enter the pool i put my belongings

Ashie Ug: It is nice but very crowded and confusing other than that it is a really nice pool
