Hyatt Herald Square New York: what do users think?

Zachary Alberts: and terrible soundproofing. Whenever your your neighbors are having normal conversation

Nilton Galan: .Bem localizado há duas quadras do Empire State Building

Laura Sullivan: . We waited 30min to check into our room which then made us late for our next event because we had to wait until almost 4pm for the room. The walls of the hotel rooms are also paper thin, so be prepared to every single thing your neighbours are doing from morning till night. Finally, because I didn't bring any of this up while staying there, I am not able to receive any compensation or refunds. I wasn't asked upon check out how our stay was, and honestly as that point we were done and just wanted to go home. The only positive was that everything is so close to you that walking around was made easy, but that can be said for many other hotels in the area. So, do yourself a favour and save the hundreds of dollars you will waste staying here and try a different hotel.Rooms: Beds are very very thin, and sheets are dirty.

Neal B: Rooms: Small for the USA, but everything you need, well appointed.Nearby activities: Great locatio in midtown, not far from anywhere if you are happy to walk. Very close to Empire State, Time sq, Broadway, Flatiron, Chrysler etc etcSafety: Ok, just need to take the normal big city precautionsWalkability: Great for walking - very central 👍Food & drinks: Ok, there is a limited menu but reasonable prices for NY.

Zentrale Lage.

Hyatt Grand Central New York: what do users think?

vamsi krishna: I was told the room has been upgraded to City View double days before our arrival, but we didn’t even get a double room which is what we booked for and received confirmation for, when I said the room is already confirmed to the front desk, she checked with her manager, they told we only have a king bed and we will provide a roll away bed.when I informed them that I already received confirmation that room is ready for checkin, they told that if I dont want king bed,I can cancel my reservation for free at 1 AM.Manager told that he will send 7000 points to my account as an apology.Havent received that yet. After this they provided the roll away bed and didnt give any comforter. When we asked the attendant who brought the bed, he showed a packaged pillow and told us it will be there in that, we figured out it was a pillow kater and asked the front desk, they told no comforters till morning , when I asked how do you expect us to sleep, they hang up the call.I am not sure if this the way Hyatt treats Elite customer.Bottled water should be provided for discoverist member, even that is not there.Very awful experience.Think twice before you book.Noteworthy details: rooms are okay, bathrooms are small.

xImOut: Rooms are a bit dated but perfectly adequate to stay in New York just for sleep. The hotel is quite large but can be reached quickly by elevators. The check-in went smoothly and we were able to check into the room quickly. The service was good, trying to give as accurate and detailed answers to questions as possible.

Soniya Dangol: Convenient location, but the service and rooms are not up to standard, very small rooms with old worn out furniture. The air vents were dirty, no coffee machine, couple lights were out. Room service is terrible, asked for couple extra body soap and shampoo but they brought us a whole packet, I don’t need them all and they won’t fit in the small shower space that you have, asked for an extra bath towel, it never showed up and had to call and request again the other day. The customer service said they couldn’t help add a guest name to the room and we have to call the third party site we booked from to have the name added, I understand the security reason but you don’t have to be mean and rude and can easily explain what steps to take.

jameel karim: From the time we checked it, it was disappointing. The one king bedroom suite with pull out couch and pack and play that I requested had 2 queen beds and no couch. Instead I was charged extra for a rollaway bed. The entire hotel had 0 microwaves so if you wanted to warm up food, you couldn't there. Great trick to make you eat at the internal market or restaurant. The room had bugs like fruit flies all through it. They were smashed on ceiling in the bathroom so it was an existing problem before we checked in. We constantly called about bath cloths and they brought us hand towels to use in the shower. The reason was that no bath cloths had come in. So for 2 days we had to take showers with just soap. For $425+ plus a night there was no mini bar or any kind of bottle water. The floors were dirty. The staff I dealt with were rude and basically had a "care less" attitude when it came to the issues of our room. We didn't have the option to leave so we had to accept the room. The receptionist said she didn't have any available rooms period! I felt like she was lying. The bell hops were the best thing about the hotel because they were on their job to make sure we had transportation and our luggage moved when needed. For the price, the restaurant didn't have a variety of food. And it was $150 for buffet for me, my wife, 9 yr old son, and 2 yr old daughter. $45 for each adult and $25 for each child. It was no way we ate that much food! Probably enough for two meals. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and it need some serious improvement with the staff and amenities. And get a dam microwave! That's ridiculous!Rooms: My room had bugs in it and no bath cloths for 2 daysFood & drinks: No variety of food and somewhat expensive. Drinks were fineNoteworthy details: No microwaves in the entire hotel

Kent Copley: What a disappointment. Stayed in a King Suite. A/C did not work, Cold water on sink in bathroom did not work. Closet door did not close, scratches all over the floor. Some of these this were fixed, but not all. Yes, plenty of space, but not luxury. I guess I expected too much. Felt like large room at cheap hotel, not a Hyatt.Rooms: Rooms were not prepared to receive guests. Too many things not working.

Chris S: The hotel is decent, but they stole some of my clothes. As soon as I got in a cab to head to JFK, I immediately remembered I left some clothes in the closet.I called the hotel, they transferred me to security, and they told me to fill out a form online to get my clothes back. I asked them if they could just sent someone up to the room, I literally just left the hotel and my room, but they said they couldn't. No one ever got back to me about my clothes, it was relatively expensive, absolutely housekeeping or some other staff stole it. So basically the hotel staff is willing to steal your belongings if they know they can get away with it.Walkability: Close to grandcentral.

JH S: The location is good, and the price is not bad for New York.I don't know anything else... Even though I gave a pretty tip, it was a bit annoying to have to ask for towels again every day because they didn't give me towels for two people staying.

Ashley Daw: It was okay. The customer service isnt the best and they arent the best at answering phones. Its in a great location but the interior of the rooms could use some work.

Jilles IJntema: Great hotel located perfectly near grand central. A great point to get everywhere on Manhattan by subway. Rooms are also good. Had one strange experience with the service: for some reason the room service had taken our towels but hadn’t replaced them with new ones. We found out that night and called to the room service and asked if they could bring towels. They “made sure” we would get them soon. 1 hour later we still had nothing and had been waiting to hop in the shower. Had to go down and pick up towels myself, new towels never came through roomservice. Probably through poor communication…Also they guy behind the counter at the hotel shop downstairs was uttermost unfriendly and not speaking proper english. The customer in front of me had a whole argument with this man, the disagreement seemed to have started through poor understanding of the cashiers side.

Noah Omri Levin: Beautiful lobby

Heather NesSmith: - They were willing to work with you if your flights are delayed/cancelled and you have to show up late.

Kaustubh Sable: Stayed at the hotel for two days. The service was pretty okay considering it is Hyatt. I had very high hopes from the hotel being 4-star but they were even charging extra fees for keeping luggage at the reception for some time on the day of departure.Rooms were clean but much smaller in size than the Hyatt on the Hudson. There was no coffee machine in the room either. I kind of expect that in any 2-star hotels as well nowadays.Location is the stronghold for this venue though.Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 11am; more or less standard timings.Safety: Rooms neighborhood seemed safe.Walkability: Good walkability from central Manhattan.

Shaina Singh: and did not remove old towels, and another time I found a napkin from the table had been left on the bed. When I called down for extra towels on the day they did not leave enough, it took nearly an hour to get them which was surprising. Housekeeping stated that they "had a lot of requests" which is why it took so long...made me wonder if they were not cleaning other guests' rooms properly as well. The Hyatt said they placed me in a "quiet room" yet throughout my entire stay there were kids running up and down the halls screaming at the top of their lungs at 11PM and people blasting music at midnight. The "view" I had did not exist either - I saw the building next door and never knew what time of day it was as the building blocked the sun so the room was always dark without the lights on. To top it all off, the lock on my door was broken upon arrival. While the staff at the Hyatt was friendly, I do not think I will be staying there again in the future.

Hyatt Place New York/Midtown-South: what do users think?

angel zhagui: Good.!!

Rooms: Spacious cleanNearby activities: Bryant ParkWalkability: Macy’sTimes SquareBroadwayEmpire State BuildingGrand central terminalNew York public librarySt Patrick’s cathedral5th Avenue

Alden James: Great hotel with good views of the city. The location is a bit odd, but the rooms and service definitely make up for it.Walkability: We were able to walk to tons of different places in New York City with relative ease.Food & drinks: Good variety of breakfast which was definitively helpful to fuel the mornings of our vacation. Good tea and coffee stand that we used daily.

Margaret Kushiner: Super nice staff, impeccable rooms, great location for broadway shows and lots of other activities. Easy to hop up a train to wherever you need to go.

HM Williamson: .

Sneh Patel: Good room for NYC, not the nicest but okay

Hyatt Union Square New York: what do users think?

Henry Vaca: Let's start by saying the only reason they get 1 star is because of Karina. She made things ok. First day check-in around 4pm and the room temp is 78° so we set it to the lowest temp and after about an hour and a half the temp had not changed if anything it felt like it was pushing hot air out. So we see a maintenance man in the hallway and he takes a look at it and gets it to turn on and so we leave and come back late night 1130pm and the ceiling had been leaking over the toilet area and the ac had only gone down to 75° so they move us into a different room and that room is 78°, we also set that to the lowest temperature and hope for the best since its midnight at this point, so we "slept" but woke up in pools of sweat because it was 78° in the room and Thats 2 rooms in a row, the temp at the time outside was 74°. It was cooler outside than the room we paid room and also now room #2 with no ac. So we immediately call and complain and they had the audacity to think free breakfast would make things right. After I point out that the room i paid for and was advertised with ac was not what i got, instead i got 2 rooms with no ac and leaking ceilings. So they took off 1 nights charge but not the fees etc. Ok better than nothing. So i email her the picture of the wet ceiling and they came and "fixed" it again and guaranteed it would not happen again so we go out for the day and i get a phone call that that is not the case and that we will need move rooms again. Atleast they called me and told me when i get there it will all be ready. So we get there and its now the nightime crew and this manager is not fully aware of the situation, all he said was i saw a note.. i guess there is no communication between the day and night management. So it was not ready like i was told it would be. Explained everything and they find us a room and advertise the fact we are getting an upgraded room like it's something special for us. As if this isnt our 3rd time trying to have a normal experience. So we have to get our old belongings out of the old room and they didn't even clean the leak... They let the leak get worse ans all over the floor right next to all our personal belongings. Enough water to fill a sink. They called me at like 1-2pm, i didnt get back till 5-6 and somehow they didnt stop or clean the leak. move into the new room and woo the ac works finally. Nothing to woo about something that should be a standard. They told me that on top of taking off 1 night they would also take off all their fees... So i only paid for one night. I understand they are doing their job but i feel my experience was enough to not have paid for anything. I feel a little robbed it was nothing advertised during my purchase. I guess if you want ac pay for a upgraded room.Rooms: Ac didn't work in 2 rooms back to back

Yuchen Zhong: I was charged a separate $456.07 for the first night because of flight cancellation. That's totally fine. But they won't be able to generate receipt for that which was annoying. Also the manager at front desk answering the call was not polite and it feel like she was stressed. What can I do differently?

Cheddar Cheese: and there's construction scaffolding net on 2 of the 4 sides. I imagine when they are gone, privacy drops down to about 50%, but for now, the only way a bldg across the way can see you is if they were at an odd angle with binoculars on top of the water tank. The privacy, seating options, decor and vast size of the patio is not the case with ANY OTHER TERRACE I've experienced in NYC. Just simply such a great gem. I'll ask to audit the other rooms the next time I'm there, but pretty cool 1st stay.Nearby activities: It's within waking distance to union Square. There's a duane Reade on the next block, perfect if you forgot a toiletries. There are several fast food, fast casual, and restaurants within waking distance. There's a parking garage on 12th street in the same block

Ofri Katz: I really enjoyed my stay. The room is very comfortable and the location is unbeatable. What made the experience great is the wonderful team.Michael was the first person to welcome me, and made that crucial great first impression with his kindness and perfect professionalism even at the tail end of a night-shift. He helped me multiple times throughout my 5-night stay and I really appreciate him and the rest of the team.Rooms: The room was small but efficient. I had everything I needed in terms of storage, and then some. The bathroom is well stocked. I had some trouble with the faucet in the shower and took me a good long while to figure out how to turn off the desk light. I blame jet lag The umbrella in the room and by the door is a very nice touch!Walkability: Incredible location. Very convenient 5-minute walk to the office for me, and even closer to lots of public transit options.

Luis Villarreal: - The mini fridge is barely below room temperature

Taya Burzynski: .My initial room wasn’t as clean as I’d like and they switched me right away without question. I had some challenges with the chrome cast, and again, they responded immediately. The rooms are modern and the location is fantastic. The gym, though I didn’t use it, has exceptionally modern equipment

Iman Mohamed: Staff aren’t helpful, won’t let you checkin even after checkin time. Housekeeping walked in on me as well… overall service wasn’t quality but location is ideal for city center activities. Lack of professionalism here.

Christine Cox: We booked a 1 night stay in a "King Courtyard View" and thrilled to get upgraded to a terrace room with Globalist status. You don't get a real view with this room as it's on a lower floor but the terrace is spacious and comfortable. It's nice to have outdoor space during warmer months in NYC.Other reviews have noted the excellent customer service which was felt upon arrival. Everyone from the front desk and valet were very welcoming. A sour point is the Globalist breakfast. Even though this WOH benefit notes that it includes an 18% tip per entrée they will tell you that they are not responsible for tipping. It is confusing and shame on management at this property for not tipping the staff. If working remotely there was one working space with a desk so not ideal for a couple that both need to work during the day from the room. The internet was fast and reliableNearby activities: Union Square Park is around the cornerWalkability: Feels very safeFood & drinks: Lots of food options! If you are a Globalist beware that they do not honor the 18% tip per WOH benefit for the breakfast amenity. There seems to be some dishonesty around this.

Hyatt House New York/Chelsea: what do users think?

Derek Frank: , he told her she was beautiful. She then told him she was married, then he put his phone down and motioned for her to put her number in it. I immediately alerted our travel coordinator

Tony Lam: Service at front desk is fine. Daily cleaning is also reliable without missing any replacement of towels. However, breakfast selection is limited and it ends at 9am on weekdaysRooms: Drawers of the cabinet keep on opening up by themselves. Kind of spooky 👻. No HDTV channels on TV so don't watch any programs at all. Bed is comfortable and so are the pillows.

Hyatt Centric Times Square New York: what do users think?

C S: Had a great time on a trip to NYC with my family. Check in/out goes quickly and smoothly, rooms are top notch and clean, and the staff was super nice. Amy in housekeeping was incredible. We loved talking with her and appreciated the extra care she took to ensure we had a good experience. Definitely some street noise being so close to Times Square, but nothing beyond the expected. Would definitely return.

Vannara Sadie: .At checkout, my mom was trying to sort out all the key cards

Reb Ermonic: This is a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay. I would have liked bathrobes in the room and the option for all day room service and not just breakfast; this is the reasoning for 4/5 stars. I did enjoy the fast elevators and nice little shop in the lobby. The staff was also very friendly. Would recommend!

Inna McElroy: We were visiting NY to celebrate my mom’s Birthday.Hotel stuff went above and beyond for us.We reserved an early check in, the e room was ready at 11 am with balloons and a card from the hotel. Our room was on the 51 floor with a wonderful view on the city and Times Square. At the same time room was very quite, there was no outside noises, especially during the night.Stuff treated us like a family.Room was super clean.Location is absolutely the best.If you are planning to take red bus tour, your first stop will be 2 minutes walk.Safety: I like that security was making sure ppl have the key before they let them into the hotel. No random ppl in hotel.

Shayne Bakke: We dont even arrive until the end of November and this hotel has already shown that they don't know the first thing about customer service. I should have stayed elsewhere but unfortunately for me I made the mistake of paying up front. What a mistake that was.Service: 1/5 …

Khem Rai: My wife and I stayed at Hyatt Centric Times Square for seven days during our recent trip to New York. The hotel is located just a stone's throw away from the famous Time Square. The rooms are nice and good size with a comfy mattress. It's a 4-star hotel but does not feel like it. It lacks almost everything that you expect from a four-star hotel. The hotel only serves breakfast, no lunch or dinner. The bar is located on the 54th floor with a limited light snack and drinks menu. I was meeting a couple of friends for drinks in the evening and decided to go to the bar to check the menu. What a mistake that was! The Indian male bar staff was rude and unprofessional when I told him I just wanted to check on the menu for later. After this horrible experience, I never returned to the bar again. Having stayed in Hyatt hotels across Europe and Asia previously, unfortunately, Hyatt Centric failed to live up to my expectation and the excellent service I received from Hyatt in the past. The reception staff seem unfriendly, unwelcoming and lack good customer service. Strangely on my 3rd day out of a seven-day stay, I received a phone call at 5.30 am from the hotel manager asking me if I was happy to release my holding deposit to clear my room tax and upgrade. I could not understand why he did not have the common sense or decency to wait until later. The only positive about the hotel for me was the housekeeping service. The housekeeping Chinese lady was outstanding. My final verdict is if you are looking for a good spacious room with a comfy bed in the city centre but with terrible customer service then this is the place. However, if you are looking for a hotel with good customer service, a positive atmosphere, and welcoming staff, I suggest you find another hotel. After this experience, I would not be returning to the Hyatt Centric again.Rooms: Spacious with a comfy bed.Nearby activities: Located only a stone's throw away from Times Square.Safety: Watch out for nut heads when walking down the street.Walkability: Walking distance to the subways, train stations, theatre shows and attractions.Food & drinks: The hotel only serves break-fast. The Bar is located on the 54th floor serves a limited light snacks and drinks.

satheesh kumar chandiran: A nice hotel at the center of times square.
