HIP HOP DANCE JUNKIES: what do users think?

Kevin Sun: Brandon is an excellent and fun instructor that has a way of getting everyone out of their comfort zones without you even realizing it! Had an amazing time doing a group session for a birthday party. Super easy to schedule and very responsive. Highly recommended!

Zheng Pan: my current schedule unfortunately has been difficult to fit dance into my life but I hope to continue taking lessons in the future and eventually be able to enjoy group classes one day!

Mimi Chiu: My lesson with Shushan went great! She was able to pinpoint exactly where I needed to improve and was very patient while I learned the exercises and steps she came up for me based on my skill level.

Charlotte: all weekend. Thank you so much Brandon and #HIPHOPDANCEJUNKIES.

Mike M: Brandon is the man, super helpful and easy to work with. Very professional but also very chill. If your looking to get into dance but too scared/ unexperienced for a group class he is the way to go

Taylor King: . He worked around our skill sets and pushed us where he thought we were able to improve and made us comfortable every step of the way. He was also so helpful working around my now husband and my buy work schedules, and we are beyond grateful. If we had to re do it, we would choose Brandon again and again!

Victoria VanJacobs: We came to NY for the week from IL. I was impressed with Brandon's professionalism and ease to set up classes, but didn't know what to expect. My daughter loved working with Winnie!! She was so excited for class and shined with happiness as she talked about everything she learned. By Tues Ciara was asking for more classes and thankfully Winnie was able to accommodate. She learned 5 dances and has been re energized to love dance again!!

Anastasia Damato: Brandon definitely has is work cut out for him with me. I don't dance, have 2 left feet and zero rhythm. I had my first lesson with Brandon and after a few stumbles on my part and lots of laughs. Brandon is an excellent instructor and has lots of patience. I highly recommend Brandon! I'm looking forward to our next session.

John Villa: I miss the days where you can learn from dope instructors. I had a great time before the Pandemic hit. Amazing experience. I love learning new dance moves.

Jose Ocasio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Value

daniel molina: Wide I like Hiphop and dancehall

House of Movement: what do users think?

Noelle Yvonne: Loved it!

Deb Kim: Highly recommend ♡

Amy: Youran is a fantastic teacher and her choreography is always dynamic and different from the week before. She's a breath of fresh air and I'm grateful to her for creating an inviting atmosphere for students to learn and grow!

Bryttany Chambers: It was an overall fun class and routine to learn. It was beginner friendly and the energy in the room was amazing. Alice is an amazing dancer and instructor. Super funny!

Britton Angel (Brit): Extremely comfortable, non-judgmental and supportive environment! The instructor was willing to take his time to answer questions and never got frustrated. Highly recommend for everyone- even someone with no dance experience.

Cindy Wong: Wonderful beginner's class! I've only taken one class, with Paul, and it was very well paced and he actually explained how to execute the moves, which I appreciated. No pressure as long as you don't put pressure on yourself! Would love to take another class.

Lauren Piontek: I took a beginner's foundation course. Our instructor did a great job balancing how much explanation he gave to keeping us moving. The concise explanations of "why" were helpful, and he was patient while pushing us to do something a little more difficult with each new move.I wish there were more instructions about how to get into the building, but I'm willing to say I missed something somewhere too.

Marie De Buyst: I was looking for a hip hop dance school, I read the reviews and even check on YouTube to see if it was my type to be sure not to leave disappointed. When I arrived the music for the warm-up were really nice and when we started the choreography it was k-pop. Hip-Hop is from the States, K-Pop from Korea. Both totally different styles and I would have appreciate to be warned it wasn’t hip-hop at all. Plus, I had to pay for the very first class, didn’t even had the chance to try for free. I paid 18$ and I am totally disappointed.

Djassi Julien: Challenging classes and great energy!!

Sean Nee: It was great fun, super atmosphere, a welcome environment for people like me with low level skill and experience. I'm a 60 year-old from Scotland, BTW, where I do a lot of hip-hop too!

April Faith: I remember I bought one class that turned into 5 class passes that then turned into 10 class passes and then another 10 and another! I can't get enough of HOM!

Andrew R: Choreo is overall fun and difficulty of their "beginner" and "intermediate" really ranges depending on the instructor. The biggest drawback is how PACKED the classes are. Nearly all beginner classes have 50+ people with staff/friends dancing.. I get you're trying to make money but damn the rooms are way too small for that amount of people. But I guess if you're consistently capping out your classes then you have no incentive to reduce the class size. Also I wish they would open the damn windows...it gets HOT in the rooms with so many people. "House of sauna" is funny at the beginning but not anymore...if it's cold outside why not open the windows to cool down the room?? What's the purpose of keeping the room hot for 90 minutes?I've been coming here regularly for certain teachers but honestly the packed sauna rooms make me hesitant to return. There is a good environment overall and I'd recommend seeing which instructor best fits your style , along with trying out different NYC studios . Hopefully one day HoM can move to a bigger space..

NYC HIP HOP DANCE SHOCK @ Champion Studios: what do users think?

Stacie Airth: I trained with Shannon in Baltimore. She was great. She really listened to what my personal goals and medical history were and tailored the workout toward my needs!

Mella: I think you may have me confused with someone else, as this was the first time I was ever in touch over email, you only responded once, and you did not give me any information about classes. We had a brief conversation over text prior to that in which you stated that you might have a class this Sunday, and asking if I were interested. You also said that you had been injured so weren’t sure. You then asked if I was Melanie and then blocked me. This was very confusing as we only had a brief polite conversation about classes. I certainly understand if you are unable to teach if you are injured or if you don’t want to communicate with someone who has been harassing you. But I am not that person and would like to clear it up.

Terri Russell: I love Shannon and know her personally through her dog rescue and her love of dance. She has amazing energy and big heart. She always gives 110% and loves what she does. She never lets me down. ❤❤

Ranzer Sunny: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

Zoha Zahid: Positive:Professionalism,QualityShannon's amazing! I took a class with her in Brooklyn and had a blast! She's got a great dancing style and teaches really well too :D I would definitely recommend!

Joe Sikoscow: Our son loves it so much, he's taken breakdancing for years now and even had his last birthday party there. DDF does a great job every time.

Sarah Sathaye: .

Prithvi Reddy: We had our daughter's birthday at DDF. The team was amazing and everyone had an amazing time.

Jonathan Heuser: Our son recently celebrated his 8th birthday at DDF. The party was extremely well managed - lively, exciting, and great fun for the kids, and a very comfortable environment for adult guests as well! The studios are bright, spacious, and welcoming. The staff members were lovely - energetic, thoughtful, and super engaged with the children. Thank you to Maria and the whole team at DDF for making the party such a great success!

Mia Jung: My 10 year old daughter has been attending DDF classes for the past 5 years and absolutely loves it. The teachers are experienced, warm, and encouraging. The founders have built an incredible community and reputation in performing arts. As a parent, I look forward to the yearly recitals to see the younger kids and more seasoned dancers perform is so inspiring.

shyamli milam: My daughter has danced at DDF for the past 8 years and has loved it from the start. The teachers are inspiring and the staff are incredibly helpful and organized! The development of the talent is amazing and it is on full display at the year-end recitals. My daughter has recently joined one of the Company groups and I’m so impressed with the confidence and passion she has developed thanks to her teachers at DDF. She looks forward to every day she has dance and it has now become her second home. We are very fortunate to be a part of the DDF family. If you are looking for a dance studio with a wide offering of classes and a warm and welcoming environment, there is no better place than DDF!

Kellie Ferguson: Downtown Dance Factory is a one of a kind dance studio. Both of my girls have danced with them over the last 10+ years and my youngest continues to take numerous classes every week and absolutely loves it. The girls always feel seen and supported by the amazing team at DDF and whilst they work hard to improve their skills, the atmosphere is energetic and fun and they have made some lasting friendships and developed a deep love for music and dance of all genres. In fact, one of the best things about our experience with DDF is how many different types of dance the kids have been able to try out - a huge favorite is the Theater Dance classes… so fun! We have loved every minute of our time with DDF and always look forward to the annual recitals which are NOT to be missed!

laura Fulmer Terranova: My kids have danced at DDF for the past 8 years and it has become our second home. They started taking classes there at the age of 3. The joy the kids experienced in their mini classes was so fun to see! My son even learned to break dance and still continues to bust out his DDF breakdancing moves. I remember my daughter and son's first dance recital. I was blown away by all the talent I saw on stage. It amazes me how they are able to train the most talented and successful students.Over the years, my daughter has flourished as a dancer and recently joined their company. From recitals to conventions, the teamwork and comradery truly stands out.The owners and staff are always hands on with each child’s experience. We are so grateful and fortunate to be a part of this creative and gifted community. The studio is a positive environment where children have the opportunity to learn, grow and flourish. Because of this, my kids have a lifelong love of dance. If you are looking for a dance studio with a big heart, offer a wide variety of classes and have the most supportive team, then DDF is your place!!!

Jennifer K: My family has been going to Downtown Dance Factory for over 10 years, and every year we love it more. The teachers are phenomenal, the staff are so kind and helpful, and most importantly, my child leaves the dance studio with a smile on her face and having learned new things every week. It is an amazing dance studio for toddlers through high school. Totally worth trying out, you will not be disappointed.

Ivelisia Rivera: Im so sorry i made a Hugh mistake is omg factory not downtown dance factory i give then a 5 star

Preston Merçant: Great staff...

Melina McGrew: Our three children all take classes at Downtown Dance Factory dating back to 2014! The studio feels like home to us! We have watched each of our children be supported, challenged and encouraged by the incredible DDF teachers and ultimately gain confidence and blossom! Each year culminates with a fantastic recital which never fails to stun us with the quality of dancing; the dedication, organizational skills and hard work of the staff; and the commitment, energy and palpable love exuding from the tiniest dancers to the superstar veterans on that stage. In competitions, DDF dancers stand out because of their team spirit, sophistication, technique and love of storytelling! The joy for dance and creative expression that DDF has instilled in our children is invaluable! We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive, passionate and loving community. Truly a large dance school with an intimate, family vibe!

Get Dance: what do users think?

Megan Malandro: My husband and I took about 6 classes with Monika in order to prepare a special first dance for our wedding. Our song was not a typical slow dance and we were looking for some moves to wow the crowd! Monika was so incredibly patient and helpful. She crafted a dance that was both manageable yet entertaining. She took her time with us in learning all of the steps and made sure that we felt comfortable in what we were doing. It was such a nice experience for me and my husband to have together and the dance turned out great! I even took my dad to a class to learn a couple of moves for our first dance as well. It was a great experience and I would certainly work with Monika again!

Danielle Seife: Monika was great and highly recommend her for wedding dance lessons. She met me and my fiance where we were at in regards to our skill level and was flexible with scheduling and meeting after work. Our guests and family loved our dance and were incredibly surprised!

Laura Formanek: . She also had different options for some of the parts, so was open to collaboration as well, which was fantastic.Obviously, it's extremely important to practice on your own, but within the time frame of our lessons, she helped us complete a stunning and exciting dance that was exactly what we had wanted. When we finally did the dance at our wedding, we felt confident and could hear the enthusiasm and awe of the guests as they watched us. We both caught the dancing bug and cant' wait to take a few other lessons just for fun!

Kristen B: , and broke it down so that it was easy to learn for two people who don't have any dance experience. All of our friends were SO impressed!

Jacob S: Monika is awesome! She’s a great teacher who is patient, friendly, knowledgeable and easy to follow. Going into my series with her, I was a complete beginner—and now I am much more confident and comfortable on the dance floor. She has my highest recommendation!

Yessenia Argudo: Monika is an absolutely great teacher. She makes classes enjoyable, is incredibly patient, and has a talent for breaking down moves in a way you can understand them. She catches what you are doing wrong and gives you tips that immediately gives you noticable results. I have been taking 90 minute classes with her once a week for about 3 months now, and I think the classes are more than worth my time and money. Every week we practice everything we have learned so far so I don't forget it, learn new moves, and build on choreographies made with those dance moves. I have more and more moves to choose from on the dance floor, and I went from feeling that I wasn't made for dancing, to feeling accomplished when I would get a move right, to "I can't believe I wasn't able to do this before". Needless to say I reccommend Monika whole heartedly.

Alex Zubatov: Love Monika's classes. Perfect for all levels, with clear, useful instructions, and an ideal combination of reinforcement through repetition and constant variety. I look forward to these every week and have noticed myself getting significantly better. Can't ask for anything more.

Tom Rogers: Highly recommend

luis ho: Monika is an incredible teacher!, love her classes, very patiente and fun to be in the class. totally recommended if you looking to learn salsa!!

Ben Flores: I've learned a lot in the 5 classes I've attended so far and I look forward to learning even more. Thank you Monika and keep up the good work!

Adam Caratini: Monika is so patient and makes learning easy. My fiance and I wanted to learn how to shuffle and dance to EDM music and had a hard time finding the right instructor in the city. We finally found Monika and are lucky we did. In just 5 sessions, we learned a ton of moves and feel comfortable going out and dancing. I would definitely recommend.

IWAO N.K: I’m beginner and boxing trainer. The reason why I go to this place is special. It’s to create a dance for Boxercise! She is very kind and adaptable person. She made a splendid dance for me. I appreciate her!! If you are beginner, don’t worry, let’s try dance with Monika!!

Megan Kian: My husband and I went to Monika to learn a routine for our first dance. She was so great and patient with us and we really enjoyed every class.

Zbigniew Semczyk: . Frank

Emily Kuo: Monika taught us our first dance for the wedding! She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, open to student opinions, and has a great sense of humor. My husband and I felt at ease and had a wonderful time during our dance lessons. We never had an issue with class scheduling and Monika was always on time and ready to teach!

Courtney Johnston: Monika was such a great teacher, and also so much fun! We had the best time learning our first dance with her. She was incredibly patient with us and created a dance that suited our skills and personalities.

Melis Suner: It was a pleasure to work with Monika for our first dance at the wedding. She created an amazing choreograph! My husband and I never thought we had the talent to dance but all the guests in our wedding are talking about the dance. It was so fun to work with her and I recommend her classes to everyone who wants to amaze with their first dance

Dee X: Learned hip hop with Monika. She's great at breaking down seemingly complicated moves into basic parts. You can also film the moves to practice at home!

Anna Januszewska: It was pleasure to work with Monika. She taught us our first dance in very short time in spite of our lack of experience and stress. Wedding guests were very impressed by our dance.

Kate Willsky: in just 5 lessons. She listened to us and changed things around when certain steps weren't working, and the end result was a dance we both had a blast performing at the wedding. All our guests loved it and said it was one of the highlights of the whole weekend. We would totally recommend Monika or use her again if we ever need more dance help!

Style Your Motion: what do users think?

Sebastien Roland: It’s a fun experience. You get to do a lot of cool dance moves you haven’t learned before. Also, the freestyle you can do your own thing. I am liking it so far.

Heba Unis: I went to patty's dance studio with a bachelorette party group and we had an amazing time learning from her! She made it easy for us and was patient and still let us have our fun learning. Highly recommend! She was always so kind, accommodating, and loving during our planning process. Couldn't have chosen a better studio or instructor!

Kat: Patty's endless positivity, passion, and magnetism will draw you in- make you feel comfortable enough to explore the artistic spirit inside of you. Thank you Patty 👌

Alli Mooney: We are SO LUCKY to have found Patty. She choreographed the best hip hop dance for our wedding and patiently taught it to us over a number of sessions. She knows a broad range of styles and came up with a dance routine that was actually cool, not at all cheesy. She has the most amazing, positive energy and kept us really motivated to learn and perfect the routine. The weeks leading up to your wedding are an incredibly stressful time, and our lessons were something fun we looked forward to amidst all the other obligations. Her pricing is beyond reasonable, too. Our routine was a surprise, and guests were totally blown away.

Andy Jung: Patty’s really cool, easy to get along with and very easy to learn from. I had one session with her and had a great time. Not only that, but I walked away with a lot more confidence and a foundation to start grooving. She’s also really good at breaking down the moves and helps you make everything look effortless. Can’t wait for the second session.

C C: ! She is a gem and a genius at making you move. By far the best dance instructor I’ve ever had- Patty is knowledgeable, gets it and will give you results fast. I’m really looking forward to the next lesson- I feel that after each lesson, I’m an exponentially better dancer and can’t wait to show off the new moves.

Sumaita: Patty's class was amazing! I attended a 6-week beginner class with Patty during March - April. She was very thorough and helpful. She would effectively balance attention between the group and address our individual needs. My biggest takeaway was that I learned to be more comfortable and play around with the moves we learned. I also had a strong understanding of the core movements. All in all, I loved it and would take her class again in a heartbeat!

Lana Sawyer: I had private lesson with Patty and it was an incredible experience. She’s a talented dancer and is equally effective at helping others to learn how to tap into their rhythm and have more fluid movements. She’s passionate, professional and flexible with her teaching methods. She not only taught me how to dance but also she helped build my confidence to learn how to dance in a way I’ve always wanted to. If you have a chance to take a lesson with Patty don’t miss this opportunity!

Lucinda Accime: I had the oppurtunity to dance with Patty back in college so when I heard she became a dance instructor I knew it'd be great. I went on vacation in New York a few weeks ago and stumbled upon her classes through groupon, I had the oppurtunity to "style my motion," with Patty's intricate stylish moves. With dance she emphasized that I shouldn't be afraid to add my own flavor and just let the music lead me. Patty is a great dance instructor she encourages and motivates you to push your body to its limit and for that I am thankful and honored to have had the privilege to learn some moves from her.

Yazmin Guzman: Patty, as a dance instructor brings it all --- charm, energy and the ability to gauge how to motivate the student!!

Alexis medina: I was a little reserve when I sign up for beginner’s hip hop with Patty. How relieve I was when she started the class, Patty is so sweet and patient. I actually can “MOVE” who new. I highly recommend Patty she is absolutely awesome a true professional. Definitely five star status!!_ Alexis, student

catherine camilo: This was such a great class!!! Patty made the movements easy to follow and she would point out when I was going offcourse as soon as I started doing it! She really pays attention to everyone and makes sure you’re comfortable! I went with a friend of mine who has never taken a dance class and she felt like it was a safe space for her. Definitely coming back!!!

r0edms (r0edms): Came across this on Groupon and couldn’t beat the deal! Patty was very patient and attentive when teaching my classes. Def recommend her for beginners!

Richard Freda: Patty is AWESOME! Never had so much fun learning the moves. She is enthusiastic and welcoming to beginner students. Great instruction and a fun atmosphere!

Mary Strong: . She keeps the class size small so she can cater to each individuals needs and takes you step by step . You really start to believe in yourself after 1 class with her and even would say you find your own “ style in motion “. You can tell how much passion and dedication she puts into it . She is also really fun and takes song requests . You really look forward to the classes and I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is new to hip hop or just wants to try and new fun kind of workout !

Jessica Owens: Awesome dance class! Patty is a great dance teacher who really cares about her students. She encouraged us to email her any questions we had or certain songs we wanted to dance to. Patty teaches you how to become comfortable dancing on your own and finding your own rhythm to any beat. I’m excited to take the next class!

Wendy Stefanie: Best dance classes its perfect for beginners. Patty is great and patient with her clients. I recommended her to my friends and they loved her classes. Definitely worth it check her classes out.

Kevina Kara: Best dance class in NYC. I have had multiple private lessons with Patty. She is very patient and such an awesome instructor. I would 100% recommend to all my friends!

SassClass: what do users think?

Coleen N: Beautiful, intimate dance studio that caters to all levels of experience especially absolute beginners. Extremely welcoming environment between staff, instructors, and students. As the same suggests, SassClass primarily teaches sassy dance styles to get in touch with your feminine side.

Alyrae A: Sass Class with Emma was so fun and empowering. Everyone was sweet and welcoming, especially the instructor Emma! Can't wait to go back for another class with her.

Kayla Epstein: Sass class is the absolute best. Instructors amazing. Choreo amazing. Energy amazing.

Hannah Brennan: I had an amazing class here, it was very inclusive and my instructor made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. Absolutely loved it and I can’t wait til I’m back in NYC to go back!

Francisca Crispell: The space was very clean, spacious, and cool! Love the lighting to set the vibes, and the instructors are so kind.

Trina McGhee: Incredibly fun and supportive space ✨ Emma is one of my favorite teachers

Samantha Rey: Great Dance Studio. One of the most beginner friendly dance studios I've ever been to. An extremely welcoming and empowering environment to learn in. Great instructors. Great variety of dance styles taught here as well. My main advice would be if possible to get better AC but that's a complaint I have about every studio in New York and their AC is pretty good all things considered. Also, wouldn't recommend the video live streaming classes, those could definitely use a real filming infrastructure that they don't have yet.

Samantha Ramos: Sassclass is an amazing environment of supportive teachers and students! Each class has a unique vibe and they are all great! ✨

Lexi Frey: Incredible studio with incredible people - highly recommend!

Farzana Ramjohn: Love Sass Class; a place where I can feel and be confident with myself

Zuzana Juranova: Sassclass is such a unique dance studio right in the heart of Manhattan. Whether you’re looking to learn a fun dance routine during one of their classes or want to join a workshop and get a professional video of you afterwards, they have it all. Plus, it’s a great place to find some new friends!
