Gabrielle Frias: Can’t say enough about the helpfulness and the kindness of the employees and the quality of the products at this store! I had a bit of a mix up with what type of hair I needed for my appointment the next day and had to literally drive around the block only to come back again for a second time for a different texture of hair right before the store was closing for the evening. Stella and Sara were the two employees that were working that evening and Sara was there the day I came back to return my extra bundle of hair. At first there was some difficulty with my method of payment and the return but Sara promised to take care of it. I received communication from Stella a few days later and she worked everything out for me perfectly!! I was so impressed with the excellence, kindness, patience, helpfulness, and how they went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. Their knowledge on the items and suggestions including the quality customer service they gave exceeded all my expectations. Can’t recommend this store enough!!!

Was super easy to place my order right on the phone, and I was told it ships standard to Brooklyn within in 1-3 days.This is also where I send my transfemme folx to purchase their first human hair wigs, because the quality is great and the service has always been on point, which is everything. They then wear them in for a dry cut and that brings it to life! Very groovy, very good vibes.

Emily Sunday: Any queer or lgtbq people should feel comfortable here. Ruthie saved my hair and helped me find extensions that were good for me.
Ember Ho: I had a wonderful experience getting my hair extensions done. Ruthie was able to take my short wolfcut style hair and turn it into the long hair I had before that somewhat ill-fated haircut. She clearly takes pride in her craft and went above and beyond to make sure my extensions were blended in — even generously adding more strands than I had paid for. Even though I offered to Venmo, she was adamant that I do not, as this was a gift out of her goodwill. It’s a rare thing these days, to find someone who is both skilled and kind! Although I’m not from NYC, I am determined to make the trip to solely see Ruthie for my hair as I grow it out with my extensions. If you’re thinking about getting hair extensions, you should definitely go here. She’s been in the business for 21 years and you’ll be in expert hands.

I researched hair extensions after receiving a haircut, that was overlayed and couldn’t pull off my wedding updo, one month from my wedding and I cannot believe the magic she worked. The day I called to ask about the extension process she was able to see me within hours and I left with the hair in my bag, same day which matched PERFECT!!!! I’m still pinching myself for how well my hair looked. Ruthie is truly an expert and very passionate about making sure women look their best when they leave her studio. She is so knowledgeable and did NOT try to upsell me and was so patient with me while trying to teach me how to place the extension in my head. Rowza Grynne: My dyed blonde/highlighted hair had become broken and brittle and I wanted to add some body and length so I took to Google to search for who to trust with this endeavor. I never had extensions before and I didn't want to make a mistake. I came across this location and anxiously called the number, Ruthie picked up the phone and immediately I felt at ease and excited to get this done! I had a free consultation with her two days later and knew right away this was the place to go. I didn't call even one other place or shop around, and I am usually the kind of person who needs to research and then really think about. But the minute I walked into her studio, I was sold, and she did not disappoint! Wow, she really matched my color which wasn't easy to do because I had a few different shades going on. It looked completely natural and undetectable! I will definitely be back to have them adjusted with the grow out and I give Ruthie my highest recommendation to anyone who wants gorgeous natural hair without breaking the bank! She is amazing! Michele P: The tiny rude woman in the back is enough to prompt me to never do business with these people ever again. I’ve been coming to this store for years and whenever I ask them to check if they have different lengths of hair or a certain brand of product, they do so. But not this time. Without lifting a finger she tells me that what they have is what they have. She refuses to check the back or her inventory log, and maintains an attitude with me throughout our entire interaction. Too bad for her. I have relatively long hair and usually need almost a dozen packs of hair to complete my styles. I guess my money isn’t good enough for Manhattan Beauty. Never again am I shopping at this trash hole.
Ms. Lewis: I would have loved to leave a lovely review of this store but unfortunately I will leave this review so the store can work on their level of mannerism, and respect for customers. Today I went to this location to inquire about particular items in the hair section towards the back of the store. The first women who appeared to look Latino, I inquired with was not attentive in her demeanor and service to show me the item I was particularly asking to see hanging on the hooks of the hair section. I went over to the second women, who appeared to look Latino as well, to learn more about the terms the first women were using to describe the product I wanted and as the first women walked over to assert herself into the conversation with an aggressive and demeaning manner, the second women turned to the first women and decided to treat me in the same manner as well. The were very aggressive, demeaning. I proceeded towards the front of the store to talk with the manager who called herself Sindy. I asked Sindy if she was aware of this manner of customer service towards customers. Sindy proceeded to apologize for that section of the store and offered for a different day for me to shop at the store in that section. I actually found that very dismissive and concerning to say the least, but I appreciated the apology. I was told the owner Robert will be available during the week. I have to say I definitely felt this experience was discrimination and racism. I will leave this review and warn customers this store does not genuinely care about their customers as they would like you to think so I recommend considering taking your precious money somewhere else!!

Christy: The worst customer service ever. I called to make sure they have a product in stock before I make a trip. Last time I went, they didn't have it and I did NOT want to make another trip. The girl who answered the phone clearly spoke English but she had no comprehension skills of what I was talking about. When I was looking for an Essie Nail polish that they carry but last time it was out of stock. She kept asking me to repeat the name and colors and she couldn't figure out if she had it or not. She told me to come to the store to see if they have it. To save that time and headache I will head simply go to Amazon or other online stores. If you want to survive and compete with other big named retail online stores, they should know better and have a better customer service person answering the phone or know what they have or don't have in stock.

As much as I love their collection, it’s just IMPOSSIBLE to shop that way. When my husband and I spoke with the employees, they insisted they were just doing as told, but when we spoke with management they swore it wasn’t policy. Either way, I just feel like it’s a recipe for confrontation and disaster, and out of concern for others, I really think folks should think twice before shopping here. I have been to this store many times and not a single time I heard “welcome, hello, or can I help you?”. Indeed all they do is a good job of staring. They just don’t care about customer service. It’s only that the products I need they have. Otherwise I would never shop there again.

The staff speak just enough English to help so be patient and you will find what you are looking for. They are located upstairs almost like an attic. Very disgusted with their attitudes, dont waste your time going here, even if they had been nice, the prices are comical, $200 for a bundle of hair that is not only exposed and wearing away and hanging from a ceiling rail, but also just jammed with other hair and collecting dust. Lol. Unbelievable. 1star given in order to comply & be able to submit review properly, but experience here was a solid ZERO. Took my business elsewhere and very happy I made that decision!

I have to purchase lashes in bulk for a show that I work on and NO ONE beats the quality or prices of this store in New York City. The lashes I've bought here are top quality and I can get them by the dozen. I honestly would never shop anywhere else for lashes. As long as this store is open, and I live in NYC, it will be my source.

Souky Souky: Feb 22/2023I went to the store as I’m flight attendent and almost every month I visit this shop and it was one of my favorite shops and everytime I spend at least 150 $ , this time I experienced the most horrible treatment from a thing that unfortunately it’s human , I did shopping and I passed by the store as I didn’t have a basket I was using my own bag , literally in the middle of the store then a human jumped on me and said I « can see what you are stealing »I was chocked because I didn’t know what’s going on .I was shouting that what’s going on why this person jumped on me , then the manager came to me she was apologizing continuously she said that they had experience that person stolen stuff , I told her it’s not my problem we are different people and it doesn’t mean that all of us are bad , and she offered 20% discount that I refuse of course . I explained to her that’s she has to teach them how to speak to People , as I was in the middle of the store and my appearance looked that I’m not from there that’s why she treated me like that I asked her colleagues to give me her name and they refused .The person that screamed at my face and accused me that I am taking there products run out of the store in seconds , when her colleagues heard one of them said I’m Latino as well as we saw how racist they were ( my 2 other friends joined me as I recommended for them the store $ .It was the worst experience in my life I don’t have words to describe the emotional damage that I had from this because in our culture we really respect every single person regardlesswhat color/gender or other things .Unfortunately I had only 2 days In the city .Finally I want to ask from the responsible to teach them how to give good costumer service only because you can’t teach people manners And to ask the person in front of them why they have products in there bags than react .
Journey Chapman: Literally my favorite place. I get lashes from here, the best lipgloss, and any hair product me or my bf might need. and the price is amazing.

Francisco: Not sure what these other customers are talking about. The workers are just doing their jobs staying close by incase I needed their help? Not sure why people always need to victimize themselves. Who cares who's watching you! JUST SHOP AND GO ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS!
Kell Thomas: Agreed with definitely getting racially profiled it’s very uncomfortable, especially as a professional and beauty student in the area ,buying product for my business. It’s always the two men that work there that makes you feel followed and looked at even after you purchased . It really suck because this is one of the few beauty store in that part of the city that carry good salon quality products. There nothing warm about the staff when I go in even if been multiple times I always feel uncomfortable even if I’m asking for help. It’s very disappointing I really makes me just want to shop online because it’s too much at this point. Mane Beauty please do better and stop following shopping who frequent and support your shop!!
Imani Hamilton: Just left the location and it’s great the selection of items they have but as I was leaving the store I see the guy who’s by the door watching people down the aisle. Completely unnecessary and won’t be shopping here again.
