Emergency Department at NYU Langone Health—Cobble Hill: what do users think?

Jessa: Excellent nursing staff thank you!!

Mahmudul Khan: Fix the cell phone use policy. If someone here they are not prisoners. They might have any emergency to use their phone or internet. But this building has no network and they have one hotspot which has no internet connection. If we need any documents do download from email or make a call we have to get out of the building! What kind of individual manage this rules? Such a stupid policy.

Benedict Acheampong: Very caring people

Reliable Expert Reviewer with Standards in NY: , Brooklyn Hospital ER, Interfaith ER, Kings County ER... Never again in my life. I've spent over 5 hours in all of those ER's everytime i've went.I will only visit this ER.Thank you to all the pleasant and professional and caring staff. From the front desk to the nurse to the doctors.

Irslan Asjid: Great professional doctors with professional nurses!

Marzouki: I really don’t know what kind of patient would rate this place 4 stars, if you have time to spend ALL DAY, you would have to take an entire day off to come see one doctor or attend one appointment, the minimum wait in this hospital is 2 hours, without exaggeration, you’d die in this place waiting for your turn to be examined. They don’t care about their patients’ time at all because they mostly cater to an old age population that doesn’t have work or don’t care about wasting an entire day just to see one doctor.

Heather Whitehead: .The nurse was knowledgeable and the PAs were personable. I didn't quite get everything that I was hoping for medically, but I was satisfied with the intake process and the courtesy and efficiency of the staff. All the necessary tests were done and I was referred to specialists to follow up etc. Overall, it was a quick turnaround as far as ERs go. I would certainly recommend.UPDATE: 6/02/23- I meant to update this a while back. Whilst the service was quick here for this particular visit, I went back again and the service wasn't great and there was a long wait this time. The most distressing part of all of this was the BILL! My bill from this visit was a whopping $19,000.00. Yes NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS billed to my insurance of which I had to pay a part. That portion ofcourse was STILL HIGH. I did some tests

ang: Emergency room Covid is over masks don't work. Don't tell me to put on a mask. IT'S May 22 2023 stop milking this covid BS. When to another hospital and had a great experience. People are tired of the masks bs 3 year's later.

Isabella: Kept trying to flag down medical staff so I can go to the bathroom and they ALL ignored me. A short older doctor who had white curly hair looked at me and kept walking. I was ignored by other medical staff and one nurse even said he doesn’t work there. I was in the hospital for 2 hours and couldn’t go until I was released. Extremely unprofessional; if they were busy, they would’ve tried to get someone else, but instead just straight up ignored me.

Fiona Torres: This was my first visit and my last time going here to the ER . I always had very positive NYU Langone experiences. This is the worst place to go to. I was examined in the middle of the room next to the nurse’s station and they write your information on a piece of paper plus everyone is hearing your information. There is no privacy at all . I think if you are dying or bleeding to death they might care a bit .

Katie Raptoulis: My experience here was fantastic. After going to another ER, urgent care, and a primary doctor that gave me no answers for the excruciating pain I’ve been in, and made to feel I was making it all up, this place was great and diagnosed me. Everyone was so unbelievably kind and caring, had wonderful bed side manner, and you can tell they actually care. Honestly, this was one of the most positive hospital experiences I’ve had.

ZiggityZwoopZwap: Rude staff. ER doesn't give a s*** about you! Something was wrong with me and they truly did not care. Went to a different doctor the next day and found out many things that they didn't even bother to check.

Rodney Byke: Fantastic staff and was seen right away

J Jay: TRASH! The worst medical staff I've ever encountered. They keep you waiting for hours & don't even treat your symptoms. Go somewhere else.

Laurie Heller: . No one likes going to the ER but if I ever have to go again, this is the place. Thank you to the team at NYU Langone - Cobble Hill.

Lola Isabel: I had a great experience at this facility on 3/4/23! No wait time and a clean environment. ALL staff were very professional and caring from the front desk to all the medical personnel in the back! 10/10!

danning shen: Very efficient! One and half hour in I already got an fluid injection. Staff are super friendly. Generally a very satisfied experience

D W: . Had a CT scan and IV medication attached the whole time and got no feedback about the results of the CT scan from the medical professional that ordered it. In fact, he went AWOL. It was the nurse that really cared for me the whole time and did her job well. In addition, I know emergency rooms are kept cool to prevent germs from spreading but this emergency room was an ICEBOX!

Lenox Health Greenwich Village: what do users think?

Richie Hartz: I'm guessing I was very lucky because there was no wait whatsoever. The guys at check-in

Chris Byrnes: This Hospital is completely uncaring and unprofessional. If your in law enforcement don't go there for services. These attending physicians are completely unfriendly and don't care about people's well being.

Brenner Nathan: . My own compliant was met with aggressive backlash from the staff at the front. I’ve never seen anything like this. Please, please, go somewhere else if you can.

Chan Brooks: Went to the ER. Waited for 3 hours to get X-ray. Another hour to get discharged. Then received $7000 bill.

Sherm Eagan: Ffhy FG see king and the king are in

Cindy Worley: Until my experience last week I would have given five stars or more if possible. Perhaps because I arrivedduring the change of shift things were different this time. I didn't really mind that everyone was in a hurry. And the front desk was kind and welcoming enough. The technician warmed up to me Although he seemed bothered at the outset. But he was kind when He realized I was in pain. When he looked at the x ray he told me he thought the doctor would order a cat scan. I did not have to wait a long time but one always expects to wait for a while in any emergency room. When the doctor did arrive She was cheerful enough and gave a very simple diagnosis. Telling me others would be in soon. All this time since arriving I was cold and I also had to use the bathroom. Eventually someone brought me a blanket for which I was grateful and when the nurse came she came with discharge papers and ibuprofen. It is possible I suppose that at this location drug addicts come by wanting drugs. I definitely am not 1ofthem. I came with broken bones- that was quite clear. I told the nurse that I had to go to the bathroom since I had arrived which was several hours before. She asked me to please wait until I leave. I told her that might be difficult, but I didn't want to make a scene so I waited. She gave me discharge papers but nothing in the papers referred specifically to me. All the information might be useful for someone who needed it. But I really wanted to know what the x ray had shoWN. NOTHING. I will say I was disappointed by most of the attitudes, the kind of lack of personal care that I was expecting and have received even in far BUSIER settings. Although they are quite efficient I felt the efficiency was as much carelessness this time around and I probably will not go back and I probably will not refer people as I have been doing. This time around there was anair of lackadaisical ness, I am sorry to say. I have Had wonderful Healing experiences here before. I am sorry to write this review because I dislike negativity but it seems as though this emergency room is in trouble. I will say couple people in sideline staff positions were kind & helpful. The nurses & Dr disappointed me.

Donna Yee: Very shady billing practices - I am dealing with a sudden bill nearly 2 years later from an ER visit over $2k.

startaye mizell: ,and a blad headed with black glasses are rude on emergency side of the hospital i’m getting upset and I’m talking loud. The nurses say ignore her and still didn’t look for my cousin I find my cousin brought back to her room. They immediately discharged her before her blood work came back and told her she was fine. Which she was not ok On the way back home. She had another seizure and had to be taken to a different hospital. I really want to give them no stars

Carole Dulong: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Walked in with fractured rib. Was out in less than 1 hour with x ray and doctor recommendation.

Ali: Loved my experience here. I stubbed my foot hard on the ground and my toe was swollen so I came here to check it. They were all so nice and friendly, especially Dr. Hümmel who took care of me, she was really sweet. Felt good knowing I was surrounded by such professionals. Took some radiographs and it wasnt anything serious - just a minor hairline fracture. God bless.

Mauricio Marmol Bruzual: Was there twice already.Great service, real fast, friendly staff and very helpful.

HK Chung: Shante, was very rude at the reception desk on the sixth floor, Orthopedics. She yelled at me aggressively in front of other patients before I took this video. It was so rude, she rolled her eyes at me constantly and called another receptionist or nurse to deal with me, all the while openly talking trash to me to the other reception in front of me and other patients. Another patient who was listening next to me defended me as well. I already have pain from my injury, but She called the supervisor as she pretended to be a victim and she bullied me, ordered me to sit down or that she would cancel my appointment. No wonder this hospital has such bad reviews.I went to Lenox health Greenwich hospital. April.11.2023 8:30amAnd She couldn't say her name until the end. Why? Because her attitude? She didn't need to be so rude.

Julia Abraham: Very good ER. Short wait, great staff, clean and modern facilities

Edward Hill: Kudos to Dr Allegra Long, ER doc who gave excellent care to my daughter-in-law for an ankle fracture.

Elizabeth Liberty: Not a safe place for women. Linda, the physician assistant was caring and compassionate. A few nurses were nice, others looked through you and just ignored any request for help. No blanket in six hours. One male in white top and black pants maligned a woman patient repeatedly. Then he went to the staff desk and they all laughed as he joked and humiliated patients. He came into my room with an angry demeanor and then literally ripped wires off my chest. He was stocky ,aggressive and scary.Misogyny and incompetence is acceptable in that so called healing place. I tried to tell the charge nurse and the assistant manager. No-one cared. SO SAD THAT OUR COMMUNITY HAS ONLY THIS TO REPLACE THE HOSPITAL WE TRIED TO SAVE. Lennox Hill Administration,do you care?

Jin Huang: Joke of healthcare facility.I bought a friend here who fell, hit his head and started bleeding. We didn't see doctor until four hours in. On top of that, they let him fall asleep while he was in their care. With a head injury.

Phillip N. Litschi: I am an out of state resident and let me tell you this hospital and all its medecial personnel are professional and kind and really care about their jobs....I would definitely reccomend this facility for care.

New York Doctors Urgent Care: what do users think?

Max: clean, friendly, I was in and out very quickly

Melissa Canaday: As always great care by the team here. This is why I truck over from the east village.

Venessa Hampshire: Gilbert, NP and Adonis have been incredible. They took their time to listen, give great advice and excellent care. Highly recommend this Urgent care.

George Cardozo: Quick and easy, my go-to urgent care since 2020

Lauren Giarratano: doctor who did my covid tests and strep tests made it the quickest, most comfortable testing i've ever gotten and made sure to make me laugh since i was nervous, but the pharmacists who i tried to get my prescription from needed me to call the location to confirm my dosage, and after multiple transfers they couldn't find me anywhere in the system. i ended up having to walk all the way back to the location to confirm, and had to send it to a different pharmacy since the first one had closed by then. 10/10 to the doctor, 1/10 to the customer assistance.

Lucy Hagge: Very kind, professional staff who helped me right away. Were very understanding with my pain and listened to me with any questions or concerns I had. Thank you!

nelroby marte: very quick and efficient, the staff made me feel very comfortable and listened to my every concern. Best urgent care I’ve been to.

Sarah O'Connell: The staff and doctors are so friendly and caring. They bring a little sunshine to everything they do. And, really give each patient the time and attention they deserve.

Connor Wilson: Staff is super friendly and helpful! Felt super comfortable walking in and was quickly seen and out the door

Amy E.: Fast and efficient.

Shyheme Esco: Great people, great care....definitely recommended for anyone who needs care

Sade lue fung: This Urgent care is the best in all the boroughs, they are kind, caring, willing to help and you cant beat the wait time.

David Arrick: Quick, efficient and nice.

Mount Sinai Beth Israel Emergency Room: what do users think?

Kas Cas: Caring doctors. Right now I can hear a women part of staff reading reviews out loud and kind of having personal conversations

Nadia Soto: Here we go with Beth Israel’s negligent staff. Disgusting hospital, take your loved one elsewhere. Thank me later. Montefiore preferably.

Meryl Davis: Without going into any details, my symptoms, or diagnosis, I had a positive experience. Every employee I had contact with and spoke to were polite, respectful, and friendly. There is security and, of course, the ER was very clean.Nasty people write nasty reviews.

Cristina Occhiuzzo: This hospital saved my life with a major spine surgery. I'm walking because of their excellent doctors and nurses . Any negative comment is petty if you compare to life threatening medical situations like many like mine.

Nanasc 90: This is the worst hospital I've ever been too! Not only is it filthy and disgusting but its filled with junkies. Security is useless as they do nothing to keep the patients safe.I was there last night for an abscess and the general surgeon did not want to do the procedure because it was on my breast. Then they called the plastic surgeon to do it and he refused as well because it wasn't his job he stated it was the general surgeons job. I cant believe they would treat Patients like this. Then the best part Caroline Rago MD said "she can come back in the morning its not like she's going to die" I was disgusted and mortified that a "doctor" would say that about me. Im Going to report her and this hospital for how I was treated. Im 2 months postpartum and I couldn't pump or breastfeed because of the abscess. So imagine the pain im in and to hear that out of her mouth was just disgusting. Never go to this hospital! Mount Sinai Main ER on 100 Street is way better. Avoid this hospital at all costs!

Georganne Shirk: Do not go here!! I was the ONLY person in the ER waiting room. I thought I was having a heart attack with chest pain. After processing my driver's license and insurance card, I waited and waited to finally begin collapsing to the floor. Only then did someone approach me. If you want to die alone on their waiting room floor, you can be sure no one will save you here.

John Jackson: Take these reviews with a grain of salt. People coming to the emergency room are generally already having a bad day, so any slight inconvenience or misunderstanding is likely to set them over the edge.I've been to this emergency room on multiple occasions during COVID for COVID tests. Most recently I checked into the emergency room for a potential abscess.Yes, there are junkies. If you've never seen a junkie in a hospital, you haven't been to many or you live in an incredibly rich neighborhood. Is it dirty? No, not in my experience. Is the staff rude? No, not in my experience. But I've witnessed numerous people being rude to the staff. Don't be a Karen. The physicians are knowledgeable. Will every physician have the correct answer to every problem you are experiencing? No. This isn't HouseMD.I was seen within an hour. For people who complain about the time it takes to be seen, congratulations, you probably aren't dying. That's the way triage works. It doesn't matter how long you've been waiting. If someone more seriously ill comes to the emergency room, they're going to be seen before you. Also, unless you are a physician, paramedic, or RN, you generally have absolutely no authority over defining how critical you are versus other people.Look at every other emergency room in the city. How many of them have a rating of over 4.0? Not many. Are all of the hospitals in NYC that bad or are angry patients just the loudest? If you need to go to the ER, just go. Don't be rude to the staff. And get in and get out.

Jancy Gonzalez: Worst hospital came for a emergency refill on medication and they forgot I was here 3 hours later...

Wanda Elizabeth: Great hospital especially for an emergency. They are super fast and I didn’t even have to wait.

Stefan Kuhn: All of the staff from the security team to reception to the nurses and doctors were all very helpful and courteous. They all worked very hard to make you feel good there.

Marcin Wisnicki: Billing nightmare. Sends multiple bills for same service via different providers and doesn't even use provided insurance info for some.

Andrea Garrett: Used to be a good hospital. Green Pod staff is lacking in attentiveness been here since being transferred over from Blue Pod about 11a.m. and just now at 4:00 p.m. seen a RN for the first time. Had to ask for water and food for my mother or she would not have been given either. They really need to have better staffing, if you don't want to be here find another job don't ignore people that's in your care a simple how you doing do you need anything is the most courteous thing to do. Had I not been with her she would have been hungry and dehydrated.

Shura Noel: Use only if you are very seriously sick! The young doctors are poorly trained in basic healthcare treatment, however Staff Nurses and PA are great competent professional but ER itself seemed unclean dimly lit poor ventilation and worst of all the dismissive rude inattentive doctors who are in no way fit to receive emergency cases! If you can NYU is better option!

Pedro Lopez: If you struggle with mental health and are seeking help and support, please avoid Mount Sinai ER. They will send you to the Comprehensive Psychiatric ER. And there you will be faced with staff and protocols that dehumanizes patients. People who struggle with mental health are human beings, They should be treated with kindness, respect and sympathy. And not with dismissiveness and contempt which only traumatizes patients in the process. I cannot stress enough, please do not go to this institution if you are seeking mental health support.

MyDoc Urgent Care: what do users think?

Geeta P: I love this place. Because the staff and the doctor is so nice excellent service they also call and check up with you the next day. And you never have to wait for hours. The place is very clean. I would recommend to anyone

Sarah Kim: It was my 1st visit to urgent care for a pre-employment physical exam. The provider and the whole staff were very professional and attentive. Overall, It was a pleasant and reliable experience!

Raymond Rivera: Staff and doctor where very attentive to my situation. Recommend office with all having health needs.

JennipherSophia Rodriguez: I love this medical studio , everybody is so kind and gentle. That have a lot of professionalism and respect , which is very important . People are happy and you can feel it in the air . I just don’t like unhappy people who work with public and that’s why I do appreciate very much people happy at work

Rosa Rivera: Excellent. No waiting. Dr & staff very nice & attentive.

Cristian Abreu: Great ppl. Attentive and efficient. In and out right away. 5 stars

Amalia Rodriguez: My Doc urgent care is a reputable medical facility. The urgent care staff and doctors are knowledgeable, caring and attentive. I’ve been going to MyDoc, prior, during and after the Pandemic. The care remains the same: The doctors go out if their way to resolve their patients medical issues.

a shliselberg: Saw me fairly quickly. Prescribed medication and even followed up to find out how I was doing.

Mary: They are very attentive

Vesela Filipova: The best urgent care place! Very detailed and professional doctors! Thank you

Vladimir Gasca: Kind and efficient staff

Jodi Schuldenfrei: The doctors are very personal and highly knowledge with high qualifications and a lot of professional experience, especially Dr. Salib. All of the other staff members whomhold different titles and have other qualifications are also very friendly and are devoted professionals in their own right. I know that I always receive the best care and a respected individual/patient who received individualized treatment. Also, I feel like an individual and not a patient enrolled in a study or just another statistic.

sonicdeatheater: It took a while to get seen, but tbf it was very busy. Care was great.

Emergency Department at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn: what do users think?

JDJC: I had a great experience at the ER NYU Langone. Everyone there was wonderful, helpful, and professional. I went for a broken ankle and was in and out within 3.5 hours! They did say it was a slower day than usual so maybe that was why my visit went so smoothly. I have never had such a quick and pleasant experience in an emergency room ever!

Afaq Zraikat: I have always been treated with respect and care here at Lutheran NYU Langone ER. I Really appreciate it. Thank you!

Christine Antoine: and upon arrival the nurses at the front desk began openly discussing my diagnosis, loud enough for the entire hall to hear. They proceeded to laugh and joke and indicate no seriousness at all until one nurse proclaimed “Oh, I should probably find her a bed”. I waited for an hour before leaving the ED in critical condition. This is not a safe place to come if you are sick or in need attention in any way. If you intend to live and need critical care, you should go elsewhere.

Anna Biryukova: Unprofessional doctors. Horrible service.Better die at home than go there.

Jannur Utegenova: Terrible place, made us wait for 19 hours for surgery which caused appendix irruption. Terrible aftercare, impossible to make a post surgery appointment or just to call a doctor. I would give this place 0 star if I could.

Marisa jacobson: What nasty people!! My fiancé was throwing up blood. He couldn’t talk plus he’s disabled. But NYU ambulance doesn’t care. They had him sitting in ambulance for at least 20 min. They refused to let me in. They kept me waiting outside in 30 deg weather. How is he supposed to communicate with them? Give them his medical history while he’s puking blood? I could’ve answered all their questions for him. They should’ve rushed him to ER instead of sitting in ambulance for 20-25 min puking up blood n can’t catch his breath! They yelled at me n said “you’re staying outside”!

Toni ann Cavallo: Mom was here 7 times in 2022. She had excellent care every time.

David Gueta: I arrived at the hospital in a very serious condition, thank you very much to all the doctors and nurses I was very well cared for, was neat, clean.

L L: so most likely short handed.* Check-in at 2pm was simple enough: Receptionist found my info quickly in the system based on phone number and I got a bracelet and some checkin papers after ~5 minutes.* Wait time in waiting room wasn’t too long. Maybe waited ~15-20 minutes. Was busy watching the Terminator movie which was playing on their big TV.* Brought inside to another smaller waiting room which has an assigned nurse who took vitals and gave me an extra strength Motrin around 2:35pm.* Then the wait for xrays took some time

Fred D.: How come that Emergency department not able to answer the phone call. Terrible

Tracy So: An absolutely horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would.I recently had sprained my ankle after falling down some stairs at work and had to be taken to this hospital. I arrived around 2pm and left the ER at 10pm. While waiting for X-rays, my vitals were taken and I was given something for pain. However, even with visible swelling, no one offered an ice pack nor did they assist patients when getting around the unit. I was told to hop to the restroom and a different seating area and just take my time. I assume that would be a liability for them 🤷‍♀️. A sick patient who was throwing up left their soiled chuck pads, bin, and tissues on the floor of the small triage area for a few hours. In the time I was there, I only saw a janitor clean the unit once. After finally getting X-rays taken, I had to wait a few hours to speak with a doctor and when I finally spoke to them, they were very short and didn’t t explain anything. He mentioned crutches and said he'd come back to finish the recommendations and never did. A nurse then handed me some crutches and discharge papers and I had to find my way out. Thankfully she wrapped my ankle after looking at the discharge papers because at this point there was a bulging protrusion on my ankle. As I was exiting, I asked to speak to a patient liaison to discuss some issues and clarifications I needed since the doctor never came back. I was instructed to wait in the intake seating area by the main entrance and someone would be right with me. After an hour of waiting, no one came. Thankfully someone else in the intake area was able to solve one of my issues at least. I hope to NEVER have to go to this hospital ever again. All that being said, I understand that there is a staffing shortage across the medical field. However, we have to do better. Patients should be treated with the same dignity and respect that we give our healthcare providers. Patients' health questions and concerns should be addressed by their providers without being seen as a nuisance. I was lucky not to have a life threatening injury but I question the level of medical care and attention that is provided to patients with more severe injuries.Let's all just do better and be better towards one another. 💕

Bryanna Bolden: If I could I’d give them no stars, completely rude and Racist staff, they automatically thought that a accident between my black friend and her white boyfriend was Domestic violence.

Georgina: The worst experience in my life. Not even deserved one star. People on front desk are very unprofessional and disrespectful including security workers. Please find for them others jobs, not around the people who need emergency help. Please don’t go to this place if you don’t want to have heart attack addition to the problem that you already have!

Youness Elwiddi: is, and I'm not kidding, 2 by 6 feet. They pack visibly sick patients with one another with no sense of urgency to either separate them or tend to them. Mask policies are not enforced, they let sick and coughing patients in mask-less if they object to the policy whatsoever

V G: made a huge donation to NYU. All of the doctors are NYU affiliated and credentiled. As a retired physician I know a little about these things. I would definitely go back if I required further medical care.

Anthony McNicoll: Got transferred here since they have more disciplines available at the hospital. I had a clean, soft bed and an exceptionally good nurse. Pain medication was supplied on a regular basis through the night shift.

Annita M.: My dad waited 22 hours to get a room. But the nurse Rachel C. In the emergency was sooo nice and was patient. They are very busy though.
