New York Walking Tours: what do users think?
Luis Padilla: +9k ju "
Mark Gentry: I've done several tours with Mark of New York Walking Tours. The last was to a section of Manhattan's Lower East Side, an area I had never been to and didn't even know it existed. We started out with great (and inexpensive) Dim Sum in a real, non-commercial Chinese area. We had a pleasant walk to the east through a surprisingly quiet and peaceful area of lower Manhattan. We got a tour of the historic Eldrige St. Synagogue, built in the 19th century and fairly recently restored. Walked on to the area of the Henry Street Settlement. Mark was knowledgeable about the history of both locations. He is a friendly, down to earth person with lots of knowledge about NYC. Mark is particularly well-versed in the architectural history of New York. Hoping to take his Upper Harlem tour at some point.

Foods of NY Tours: what do users think?

Meri Rosen: So fun! Tour and food were great!

Ai Lian: Interesting and fun Chelsea and highline food tour. Our guide is very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about history of Chelsea and meatpacking district. Great tasting was great too.

CurlsnPearlsss: I love Foods of NY Tours! I’ve experienced about 4-5 tours and they have all been amazing. The tour guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. The foods are delicious. It’s so fun to taste food from different places of the world and learn about the history behind them. Highly recommend!

Dot Fitzsimmons: Bert our tour guide was great! Love this tour!

Michael Knaggs: The food was excellent and our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable about both the history of the area and the people. It was so much fun. Would highly recommend

Dana Mack: We had a great time. Plenty to eat. Marie shared lots of information about the area. We will do another for sure.!

Alysa Randolph: We really enjoyed our day in Nolita. Bert, our tour guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the area and you felt like the places were all perfectly curated. I would highly recommend this tour.

Patrick Coffey: We had a great time! Bert was the best tour guide. Would highly recommend this tour.

Jesse Kroeze: We took a tour of Chinatown with Bert and it was better than expected. Our guide was super knowledgeable not only of the foods we tried and each shop owner, but also of the neighborhood. He shared interesting tidbits along the way and made the entire experience enjoyable. The tour provided more food than expected- with three sit down meals and two on-the-go, included a variety of bites, generous portions and well-rounded experience of Asian cuisine. We were introduced to many places we will definitely come back to enjoy again. This tour was worth every penny and a great way to spend a few hours in the city, plus we made new friends along the way. Will be back to try another tour in the future and highly recommend.

Andy Danihel: Our tour guide Rick did a great job taking care of us. Food was great. I would highly recommend.

Stefani DiBuono: My fiancé and I loved the Chinatown tour! The food was delicious, with generous portions and plenty of variety. Bert, our guide, was fabulous - knowledgeable and enthusiastic - he brought such great energy to the group! We really enjoyed learning about the history of the area, the way the dishes we tried were prepared, as well as the stories of some of the restaurant owners and staff. Every stop was well organized and the entire experience was seamless. We are looking forward to trying another Foods of NY tour soon!!

Nancy Riina: Excellent food tour of Chinatown! Highly recommend, the food was amazing! Our tour guide Bert was very knowledgeable and was very attentive to everyone on the tour!! Will definitely do another tour with Bert and Foods Of NY!! Thank you Bert for a fun experience!!

Jason Barnett: and as with the other two, the food was delicious and plenty, and the history and fun facts shared by Ryan, our awesome guide along the way, just added to the enjoyment of the entire experience. The locations were carefully selected and perfectly mapped out, had wonderful variety, and even included coffee, tea, and chocolate shop stops in the dessert phase. Three full hours of food and fun with the added bonus of 10% off future purchases from most of the vendors. We got our money’s worth and more! We will definitely be back for tour number four on our next trip!!

Melissa Howard: Chip was an excellent tour guide!! Not only did he provide a variety of great food stops, he was also very knowledgeable in regards to history of the Greenwich area. This is our sixth food tour with this company and once again the tour was top notch! We will be back!

Tara Byers: Jackie was a wonderful guide!!! Food was excellent and it was great learning about the history of the area.

Alicia Hajek: Mason did an amazing job with our tour. I would highly recommend going on a food tour. Not only do you get to eat along the way you get to learn the history of where you are.

Anne-Clara S: Went on the Chelsea High Line Tour with Cindy. Amazing Cindy knew so many interesting facts, great food options and portions. Worth the price and probably the best way to visit the Market.

David O'Shaughnessy: and had a blast. Cindy is a hoot and the food was all delicious and we all felt very safe and informed the whole time. And if you’re worried about the amount of walking, don’t be - it’s more a very manageable stroll.

Man50 B: Tyler was amazing!!!! Don’t fall for those weak “hop on hop off” tours. Go with the best. She was amazing and made our visit to NYC so much richer.
Tai Ruiz: We take a lot of tours when we vacation and RACHEL is by far the best tour guide we have ever had! She works hard to make sure her group gets the best experience, the best views in the ferry, and the best recommendations. ALL of her facts and stories of the city are interesting and not boring lol. Rachel recommended 99 flavor taste restaurant in China town because it was my husband’s BD and he eats for free. It was AMAZING! Best tip we got from her: get your souvenirs from China town! (Same stuff but 1/3 of the price). Make sure to tip her well!
Maria H. White: Love it! Rachel was AMAZING!!!
Alexandra: Loved our tour guide, Tyler, she was so knowledgeable, personable and friendly.Definitely one of the best value tours in New York.Highly recommend.

Andreas Ioannou: Kevin was an amazing tour guide. Thanks Kevin!
Josh Eken: Great tour and info. Great thing to do as a first day in NYC.
Keith Wilkerson: Did the NYC Day Tour with Rachel as the guide and Gustavo as the driver. They were great. Rachel knows her stuff and is very professional, and Gustavo was an amazing and efficient driver to get us where we needed to go and pick us up when it was time to do so. Rachel made sure to give us the best tips and her expertise on the best photo spots and when to take them. Made for a memorable day.
Pardeep Kumar: Best experience of my life
Kairee Tormoehlen: I was very interested in booking this tour for my family. When calling for general questions, the person was beyond annoyed and said she didn’t understand why I had questions, when I was just asking if we ever got off the bus. Horrible customer service
Peter Hyland: Great tour
Pat Schroeder: We did the tour with Rachel. She was sooo organized and such an amazing tour guide!!! Highly highly recommend!!
Erika Duncan: Great tour. Rachel was amazing. Bus was nice. Great experience

Sidewalk Food Tours of New York: what do users think?

Philip Jemison: Decent food selections. Nothing special. David was a very good tour guide.

Jennifer Palmerson: Josh was exceptionally helpful when I made several changes to my reservation. Having been on several Sidewalk Food Tours before, every tour and tour guide was great!**UPDATED REVIEW**West Village Food Tour - June 16, 2023A wonderful, 3-hour tour. Informative and delicious!First of all, Josh in the office was more than helpful. I admit I made his job more difficult than necessary due to the multiple changes I needed to make. Josh was courteous and helpful and, in no way, did he give me impression of being bothered.Andrea was the tour guide for myself and two friends. Our tour group was small which I felt was a stroke of luck.Andrea sent an email to each of us the day before our tour which reminded us of the tour, our meeting spot and time. She also noted that the tour would begin promptly at the scheduled time. She also asked if we had any dietary restrictions, food allergies or questions. I replied to her email asking for suggestions for places to visit after our tour had concluded. She responded promptly and gave us some helpful suggestions.Andrea cheerfully met us at the predetermined time. After introductions, Andrea gave us a brief overview of what we were to see, answered our questions and confirmed that there were no food allergies she needed to be aware of.We stopped at Faicco's Italian Specialties where we sampled soppressata and rice balls, a.k.a. Arancini in front of Faicco's. Both were excellent. As we snacked, Andrea gave us a history of the place. Our next stop was Bleeker Street Pizza. Andrea gave us a brief history before going in. We ate slices of of Nona Maria pizza. Then the previous owner, Greg Greenwood, joined us. He gave us a detailed history of the restaurant, which his brother, Captain Douglas Greenwood, opened in 2004. Captain Greenwood tragically passed away from 9/11 illness and ownership passed to Greg, who recently sold the pizzeria, although he still works there on Fridays. The pizza was fantastic! I will definitely visit again. As we walked through the West Village, Andrea gave us more history of the neighborhood, which included a home that was only 9 feet wide and a former speakeasy!! Our third stop was Hudson Bagels. where we shared two delicious, traditional New York bagels with cream cheese. Our fourth stop was Galanga, a Thai restaurant. We each had a corn fritter and Chicken Satay. I loved the fritters but thought the chicken was a bit plain. The fifth restaurant was Mamoun's Falafel. My boring palate did not enjoy this treat, but the others did.Lastly we had a cupcake at Molly's Cupcakes, opened by a former school teacher and schoolhouse themed. We each ordered different cupcakes, all of which were yummy. We ended the tour at our original meeting place. Andrea was wonderful, personable and informative. I inquired about other tours Andrea gave so that I can book another tour with Andrea.

Christine Marino: We had a great tour and experience on the Lower West Side Food Tour. Our guide, Brendan, was knowledgeable and made the day both fun and enjoyable. We were able to have six tastings and were told some interesting stories about the west side of NY.

Gary H Goldsmith: and if you end up with Andrea as your guide, even better!

AE G: My fam has done the Lower Eastside tour 2x, informative AND delicious!

Laurie Cruz: Lydia was a great guide; very knowledgeable and personable. Terrific fun and a delicious variety of food!

Nicola Heffes-Doon: This was a really fun way to spend an afternoon learning the history of the west village and tasting lots of yummy food. Our tour guide Andrea was wonderful! I would highly recommend this tour.

Brandon S: My wife and I had a great time on the lower east side tour. The food was interesting and very tasty, and we enjoyed learning about the history of the neighborhood. Our guide Jonathan was excellent!

lesley bayer: Just did this tour with our son while we’re in town dropping him off at Columbia for college. We had an amazing time! Adam is so knowledgeable and friendly, we felt like we had known him for years! This is a fun way to see some neighborhood areas of the city while also sampling delicious food. The walk is super easy with lots of stops in the shade. Highly recommend for all ages. Thanks, Adam!!

Pamela Papish: Sidewalk Food Tours of New York hosted our Executive Team in NYC for a Lower East Side walking food tour for our corporate team building activity. Our tour guide was Adam, who was absolutely amazing. We were a group of 10, and the background Adam gave on not only the restaurants we visited, but the surrounding area was truly remarkable. 10/10 would highly recommend to ANYONE visiting the NYC area looking for a fun activity.Thank you to Sidewalk Food Tours!

Amy Laskin: We're from Long Island and this tour was perfect for us. We've been to some of these places before but it was an entirely different experience with Adam. Adam our tour guide was beyond amazing. He was lovely and took us around to all the best spots. Highly suggest this tour whether you close like us or live far away. Great restaurants with amazing food options. Adam even catered to my Husband who is dairy free by getting him his own tastings at many of the places. I'm kosher style and was able to eat almost all the food. Adam was able to get me some substitutes as well too. He was the best and we will definitely be taking another tour with him and Sidewalk again.

Mike Abrams: Had a wonderful experience with the West Village tour. Our guide Brendan was very fun and insightful and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this for a group looking to get a wide range of food in the city.

Chris Nan: We took this tour in San Diego - our tour guide Daisy did a phenomenal job putting together an informative and fun tour for our private group of 10. She was also extremely accommodating with scheduling. I’d highly recommend this group!

Robert Dewey: was phenomenal and extremely knowledgable. The stops along the tour were all phonemail food and the guide did a great job reading the crowd and fostered a ton of great connection amongst the team both between stops and socializing at the respective stops along the tour. Would highly recommend!

Hannah Scott: My group of 25 LOVED our tour guides Adam and Jonathan for our corp team building event on their LES food tour. It was a stimulating blend of American history, sight-seeing and delicious treats. Everyone was so pleased with our knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides that I had coworkers checking in with me to make sure we were planning to give them a big enough tip, ha! The pre-tour planning and coordination was also a breeze for me - the team was very responsive and quick to customize for our group's needs. We were incredibly pleased.

karen savage: We lucked out and got a private tour of pizza spots and Greenwich Village. Janet was a great tour guide, entertaining us with the history and stories of the area and the beautiful buildings. We visited three pizza places. Quite different from each other and all tasty and filling. I’m glad we walked for a few hours to work off the food and beer. It was a very fun way to see the neighborhood and enjoy some of what it has to offer.

Avinash Rajeev: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessWe set this up as a corporate event and it was great. Jonathan was our tour guide and he was very patient with the group - keeping us moving while making sure everyone was having a great time. Learned some interesting facts about the village and had some great food tastings. Highly recommended.

Randee Martin: Positive:Quality,ValueThe food was delicious and the tour guide was knowledgeable and fun.

Teresa DeGaetano: We had an amazing time on The Nice Guys Food Tour. I live in New York, but it was perfect for my visiting family. The food stops were delicious and Billy was fabulous!

Bret Wilken: everything they tried.

Meaghan McGuire: We had Morgan as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and fun to interact with. My 85 year old grandma was able to manage the trip and the walking. Recommend completely!

Sandra Whittington: I highly recommend this tour! Don’t miss it! It was a great look at the history of the Village and the food tasting from the local restaurants was the icing on the cake. Our tour guide, Ian, was friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable. His passion for NYC and Greenwich Village is evident! Thanks for a great tour!

Laurence Taylor: Fantastic tour of the lower East side with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. I'll definitely book something else with them on my return to NYC.

Jonathon Stormon: Had a great time and Dante was a brilliant host. Katz's Deli not to be missed!

TopView Sightseeing: what do users think?
ian sawyer: No daytime real live talking guide is poor. The recording is substandard and too little information. Lastly finishing at 6pm stranded us, just pathetic really. Way too expensive for what we got. 7 years ago when we visited was sooo much better. No tour of Harlem also poor. The idea of including a liberty cruise though is good
Coralynn Dallmann: Nice way way to see highlights of NYC
P Mac: Great experience! Great staff!
Collin Steffes: Great way to first see the big apple.
Dana Llano: Wonderful time and easy to navigate.
Rob Llano: Great service. Great experience on top view
Eviling da Rosa Ferreira: The tour is good when the buses work. We had 3 broken buses in one morning. We had to run to not lose our cruise boat. I know we can wait for the next one but when you don't have much time to waste it is a pain. Also, no one told us the uptown line finishes at 4 pm. So when we arrived at 4:15 pm a very a member of staff said quite rudely if I want to do it only on the next day. The night bus tour was nice and our guide was very nice and funny.
Greater Sweethome MBC: I really enjoyed myself
Shawn Kettner: Great way to see the important sights, get around the city. Ashlyn was a super guide for the night tour!
Noel Franziska Sobol: Very friendly and helpful.
Anita Gulmiri: Beware! Our family of 6 purchased the 24 hours + liberty cruise experience. It was an awful experience and we wish we could get our day back.- 24 hours is really 8am to 6pm…- The morning started out in a frenzy, we got to the first stop at around 9am and their bus wasn’t working. There were so many people fighting to get onto a bus and no new bus came for a very long time. We all pushed and shoved to get into the bus finally at 10:30am!!!!!- The A/c was broken- they provide a guided tour with headphones that plug in— our tour was not working, several of the other passengers had the same problem so we were all sharing headphones and plugging in across different stations. If you moved an inch, the headphones would unplug- the busses do not go in a continuous loop -- once you reach the last stop, you have to get off and walk to the first stop- the buses run slow- there are frequent stops for a very long time at each stop… our bus driver kept getting off for who knows what reason- we were trying to make the liberty cruise at a certain time because they ask you to reserve a time- we hopped on near Hudson’s yard after eating lunch and were told to get off shortly thereafter because it was the last stop- we walked a short distance to the first stopand were met with another frenzy and a VERY rude top view individual. After we couldn’t get on the next two busses because they were full and now 30 min later… I was frustrated.- I asked the TopView attendee if this was a normal experience and he went off on me. I expressed to him we were trying to get on another bus asap so we could make our liberty cruiser reservation…- he proceeded to tell us that we don’t know how to plan vacations and it was our fault that we weren’t going to make it because of our poor planning- when we explained to him that our experience hadn’t been great, he began getting personal and saying we were like little kids that didn’t get the candy we wanted and that’s why we were complaining (???)- he threatened to not let us on the bus because we were “complaining” — we were not complaining but merely expressing our frustrations.- i have parts on the encounter recorded because it was so outrageous- the other two attendees at the stop were pleasant and trying to get the man named Alan to de escalate the situation but he kept going on and on- he went around to others in line and began complaining about our situation to them saying how our poor planning was leading to us to miss our boat ride etc it was so awful!!!!- we finally made it to the liberty cruise which was probably the best past of the experienceI would highly recommend against using this company. It’s a waste of time and money and maybe the other busses that provide the same type of service would be treating their customers a bit better. There are cruise experiences from other companies as well.Enjoy NYC, but not with TopView :)
leslie brown: Terrible
Sean Ferrell: Absolutely the worst run company I've ever attempted to do business with sightseeing wise.No busses to pick up customer's, nothing but excuses. Avoid at all cost!
Jennifer Betbadal: DO NOT BUY THESE TICKETS!!! They lie to you and tell you it's only a 5 minute wait for a bus. It's over an hour just to get on. They advertise prices with no taxes or the many, many fees included. It's truly a horrible experience. Save yourself the time and money.
Alejandro Guzman: Tea around town was amazing!! Live music was the unexpected highlight of the evening. MUST DO IN NYC!!
J Marley: The WORST experiences in NYC!! Wouldn’t allow me to post with no stars. The sales team is pushy and in your face. The bus broke down twice and did not receive replacement buses. Missed our already paid for tickets at an experience and tried to speak with management to which no one would call. We were dropped off at different ending locations than were on the map and drivers were rude. Tried to ride the boat to the Statue of Liberty and the line extended into another time slot as they could not accommodate reservation time. To which we were then forced on the boat with no seats. Tried to contact the support team and was told we would not receive any refunds. The company does not care about the experiences or how they treat their customers. Watch out how you spend your time. We wasted an excessive amount of time and money and cannot get any of it back, for a trip that was extremely important to our family and the company did not care.
R C: A bus is supposed to pass every 15 minutes, ours took almost an hour. Several busses passed but were full. Our line had around 90 - 120 people waiting. The gentleman in charge of scanning tickets allowed a group of multiple people enter the bus by cutting the line. When everyone saw this and made them aware of what just happened, they said, we can’t do anything about this sht. Smile and welcome to NYC.It finally took us almost 2 hrs to reach our stop. Great value for money but this company need to be more in control of organizing a safe way in getting everyone attended.
Paul Endicott: Thank you having a great time
Renan Cagol: Good
Kendra Burrell: Ebi was an excellent tour guide and was very nice and patient in helping us!!
