Andrea Arden Dog Training: what do users think?

BinManhattan NY: My dog’s behaviour went downhill.

Emily Greitzer: We have taken a couple of classes through Andrea Arden with Hannah, and have always had just wonderful experiences! Our pup loved going to his classes, and we thoroughly enjoyed them as well. Very helpful training, Hannah is super supportive and helpful and great with the dogs. I definitely recommend classes through Andrea Arden!

Gili: I can not recommend Hannah enough! Not only she’s extremely professional and knowledgeable, she’s also kind and caring. Our pup LOVES her and we do too. She makes training accessible and so much fun! I mean, look how proud of himself Doug is….

Leigh K: to show me a more effective technique of steering Roxie on the street. He affirmed what I already learned—that using the two ended harness was actually dangerous. He instructed me on body mechanics, and the posture I needed to be in charge of the walks. He also showed me a series of exercises to help me teach Roxie how to calm herself, and to give her boundaries. These techniques are turning things around, although it’s taking weeks to make up for the loss faced due to AA. Not to mention, I requested a refund of the third lesson which was denied.I wrote a review then exchanged emails with Hannah and Andrea called me. I was shocked by their responses. I was expecting one or both to say, “I’m sorry you’re having that experience, apparently our technique didn’t work for Roxie, let’s try another approach” or “how can we make things right?” Instead they both took no responsibility, claimed they had no idea things were not going well, asked me to remove the review and accused me of being “cruel.” Andrea mentioned several times that she had spent 45 minutes on the phone with me in our first conversation, but the only woman I spoke with called herself Kathy, so I guess Andrea didn’t give her real name. She made excuses for Hannah saying she got married and was too busy planning her wedding to book the training walks. She said my review made her cry. My field is marketing communications with a heavy emphasis on media, and I have worked with many clients with high stakes for their businesses. Andrea’s response struck me as unprofessional and less than customer service centered. In her earlier response, Andrea inserted my last name, apparently trying to intimidate me into deleting my review. I reminded her that this violated criminal and civil law whereupon she removed my last name.

Gabriella Levy: I cannot say enough great things about AA! I am consistently complemented for how well my pup behaves and I have Hannah to thank for so much of that! AA came recommended by our vet practice and Hannah happened to be our teacher for Puppy 1! Suffice to say we have now completed 3 classes, puppy play group and private lessons with her. Hannah is an outstanding trainer. Kind, knowledgeable and she creates such genuine connections with her students. As a first time dog mom, I am so thankful to have her in our lives!

Jaclyn Tokarz: It's truly made a world of difference in Whiskey's behavior and we frequently get comments about how calm and well-behaved he is, especially for a puppy! Can't praise the AA team--and especially Hannah--highly enough! We're already looking forward to our next class!

Kate Ronson: I have been working with the trainer Hannah ever since I got my puppy last year. My golden has always been an anxious girl and it’s taken a lot of work to create positive social interactions with people and other dogs both on and off of the leash.Hannah created a helpful schedule so we could set my dog up for success in potty-training and basic obedience. She has been a fabulous resource for my dog’s reactivity and general anxiety. She also has really helped me understand how to read my dog’s behavior and respond accordingly.Hannah responds to my anxious worries with the calm assured attitude of a professional. Our combined hard work has paid off and I’ve become a better dog owner thanks to all of Hannah’s guidance. I recommend her to all of my friends and strangers I meet in the park!

Claire Brandon: , and are willing to take ownership that it takes work and dedication to train a dog well, you can have an amazing experience with a dog trainer, but you should still go to the best and that is definitely Hannah Richter.Cannot wait to do more lessons and start agility training this spring! Thank you Hannah!

Jamil Ellis: in a way that we thought would never happen. I am writing this review five days after our first session and I can tell you Lara's lessons have made a true difference in this short time. Looking forward to the progress we are making and the next two sessions. Thank you, Lara and Andrea Arden. If you have a puppy who could benefit from training, I wholeheartedly recommend Lara of Andrea Arden.

Edith Whatley: We had an amazing experience with Hannah! She is incredibly knowledgeable about dog training and extremely thorough. We had several private sessions and each one built upon what we had learned in the prior session. We learned so much at each session and received a summary after each one that gave us clear direction for when we practiced. Our dog made great progress and continues to do so. Hannah’s expertise was invaluable!

James Denman: I recently had a call with Andrea regarding my dog, and trying to rectify some of his behavior. What I didn't expect to get on that first introductory call was such a generous and thoughtful discussion around my dog. A discussion that made me rethink some of his behaviors, as well as some tangible solutions that I have worked. I would have zero hesitation in working with Andrea again in a larger capacity. The intelligence and level of expertise she bought to the problem was impeccable. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Vanessa King: ; they provide homework that is challenging and engaging and really forces you to pay attention to how you are working with your animal, which really in the end helps you develop both a passive and an active communication style with your dog. They teach you how to read your dog and set the animal up for success. All of their trainers have very different training approaches but together have a fused style of education, so you can take any class that works for your schedule. I refer them to everyone and even though my dog is at the Good Citizen stage of training, I still keep in touch with my dog’s trainer for tips and skill brush ups.Andrea Arden has set me and my dog up for success and has provided me with a tool to ensure my dog is a proven “good boy”.

Sophie Bakalar: . The whole team is incredibly knowledge and they all provide a very personalized, nurturing approach. I can't recommend this place enough.

Jane Calderon: Best puppy training around. Highly recommended.

Ashley Busone: . We are grateful for the structured way they presented the lessons, helpful HW, and great advice even when we weren't in class anymore. 100% recommend to any dog-owner in NYC!

Kat Su: to further offer more enrichment opportunities for our dog after she became an adult, and the classes were always really fun and cadenced really well for skill building. Finally, we have been doing their online classes during COVID, and they have also been exceptional. All in all, highly recommended.

Megan G.: Hannah at Andrea Arden was amazing with my rescue Golden Retriever, Charlie, who was terrified of NYC! Charlie was so scared of all the street noises that he didn’t want to go outside at all. By the third session with Hannah, Charlie was going in the elevator willingly and walking around the block. Now, 6 weeks later, I have to pull Charlie out of the park to go home! My heart was breaking for a Charlie - I am so thankful to Hannah!

Victoria Theresa: Great program, they’re encouraging & break things down simply to help you implement in-home.

Instinct Dog Behavior & Training: what do users think?

Jessi Aylward: Would give zero if I could.I took my dog here last year and they informed me a few days prior to my vacation ending another dog might have kennel cough - but they said since he was a big dog mine was not effected.Fast forward two days to me flying home from Europe an email demanding I get my dog as he now too had kennel cough. Poor management, absolute poor communication skills, and clearly an incompetent few members of staff. Also an absolute struggle to get my money back for him not staying the whole time.Trainer was pretty good - so bummer about that, but I would never leave my dog here again.

Douglas Blake: They do a fantastic job of offering training programs as well as boarding. We like it because they have a nice outdoor space so the dogs aren’t stuck inside all the time. Completely trust then with our dog

Zack LoCascio: who has always been active towards other dogs, and at this stage, we figured it was too late to even try, and figured walking would continue to be a chore. We moved into Manhattan, and decided to give some sort of training a try.We met with Jessica and purchased 6 hours of training. Our dog picked up on the strategies and skills much quicker than we thought, and just continued to grow each time we went. Jessica and Instinct have changed the rest of our time with our dog for the better, and it is so important to know that older dogs can still learn new things!

Michelle Musielewicz: or canceled if the medication solved everything. And I do wish I could have had my 2 in home sessions. All in all, I feel like I wasted a bunch of money and they only cared about being paid instead of doing what was best for my dog. On top of all of that, when my dog came home from the facility, he had giardia and I had to take him to the vet for that too. They had some “at home” vet see him while he was there who never gave me the fecal test results, and once I got my dog home I had my vet run a new fecal test and sure enough, there was Giardia.

A: Lovely boarding facility

Carolyn O'Neil: My hysterically reactive, ever-pulling rescue dog is now one of the better-behaved dogs wherever we go. He is still afraid of other pups, but I can always distract him with a treat, and he doesn't pull at the leash excessively anymore. After one week at camp, plus several at-home lessons with Kelley, my life -- and 100x over, my dog's life -- is greatly improved. THANK YOU Instinct, Jessica, and Kelley!! This place isn't cheap, but I tried working with multiple trainers before them -- believe me, it's worth paying the first time.

Mike Antonucci: Wouldn’t just answer a question about dog training - wanted me to do a 45 minute online assessment before a call. How dumb. If you answer my question then I can decide if I want to do a long online survey. I didn’t do it and didn’t talk with anyone.Assbackwards system

lpacheco03sak: The dog trainer was great. She showed me some very good tips and also told me what to buy so he would not get bored.

Rosie Nowak: Trainer has been very responsive to my concerns.

Sally Fields: Stay away from this place. You have amateurs acting like experts and the facility is very dirty. Boarding a dog in the neighborhood is dangerous. I saw marijuana bags right outside the office.Prices are extremely high and you will get very little for your money. There are alternatives. Very poor experience. Was given terrible advice about my two dogs which was incorrect according to the vet and two other trainers. Don’t waste your time and money.

Johnny Evans: Best for dogs.

Helena James: For the out of control dog in your life.

Sophia Jordan: They helped my sisters dog so much. Great place.

Arlene Pearson: If your dog needs to be trained then this is the place!!!

John Busacco: I was very lucky to have Instict recommended to me for training. They are absolute professionals and extremely good at what they do. Max can be difficult with strangers but loves being boarded at Instinct which is a testament to how well he's cared for.

Aida: They are the best. My puppy, Gigi, was very skittish and nervous walking the streets of NYC. We started with obedience training with Mari who was great with obedience training and also started to address the anxiety issue. But my puppy was a tough challenge and addressing her anxiety was very difficult. Enter Brian Burton, the co-owner, into the picture and he is an an animal behavior specialist. Every session yielded progress even if only on video and not in person. He is amazingly caring, knowledgeable and excellent at what he does. Within five weeks my little Gigi's anxiety is gone and she walks next to me perfectly and thanks to Brian I have learned to communicate with her thru the leash when walking so it has become a breeze to have her do what I want. Every penny I spent was worth it!!!

Leo Maker: Please stop with the barking dogs outside

Calm Energy Dog Training: what do users think?

Haley Stein: Anthony is seriously the dog whisperer. My husky mix pup NEVER listened to us off leash and we thought it was a lost cause. After just one session with Anthony, we can hardly get her to leave our side and our experience is completely different - a totally enjoyable one we never thought we’d get to have. HIGHLY recommend!!

Aydan Sarikaya: for your dog. We’ve been able to implement our learnings and have seen so much progress already with our little guy in just over a month. Thank you!

KP Tacconi: Anthony was a big help with my first foster dog. Cal is a 35lb lab mix who was nervous and had a lot of energy to burn. We got off to a rocky start, but hit a turning point after our Zoom session with Anthony. His impression of my pup was spot on, and Cal started to settle after we implemented his tips. Anthony was responsive over email and helped answer my random questions. I appreciated that his approach was supportive of Cal's natural tendencies, channeling his energy in positive ways. Helped me enjoy my pup a whole lot more - and helped get him ready for his fabulous adopted family.

Grace McLagan: . Charlie’s bubble was burst when my partner Jordan moved in with us. Charlie grew territorial and would aggress unprovoked. This is when I called Anthony-I was at my wits end. Two weeks ago, Anthony came in to our home and gave us some tips and tricks I was not yet using with Charlie, like how to have him walk politely with us. But most importantly, Anthony provided wonderful, patient instruction for Jordan on how to build a relationship with Charlie. Anthony explained Charlie is a sensitive fearful dog looking for leadership and by taking on a leadership role instead of “trying to be friends” with Charlie, Jordan could work at building a bond. Now, Jordan leashes Charlie, walks him, pets him, and there is ZERO unprovoked aggression. Furthermore, Charlie GOES UP TO PEOPLE FOR PETS on walks!!!!I can’t thank Anthony enough! If you have a dog with behavioral issues and are willing to put in the homework Anthony provides, results are possible. Every dog is different, and Charlie will always be a dog with the potential to bite, but I have to say I honestly NEVER imagined Charlie would ever reach a place where people on the street call him “friendly” and Anthony’s gentle guidance with Charlie’s humans was what it took!

Sus Jonas: , harsh corrections, using a martingale on a reactive, lunging, small rescue dog can exacerbate fear based behavior. I can’t recommend this and wish I never went as her behavior did not improve after this class and positive reinforcement has been the way to go.

Jessica Kestenbaum: Wow! What an amazing experience our pup has had with Anthony. After getting kicked out of day care and exhibiting leash aggression, we decided to contact Anthony to help our rescue pup. After 2 sessions there has already been viable improvement! Watching our pup interact with dog in an appropriate manor has been worth every penny! I truly did not think we would see the day and in just 2 sessions you would never know our pup had a problem. Anthony is really the Brooklyn dog whisperer and is able to assess and correct dogs behavior for lasting results. Highly recommend!

Mimi Salcedo: WOW! Anthony is unlike any other trainer I've worked with. Banksy, our pup, has had 3-4 different trainers who all used clickers and a billion treats. We really just weren't getting anywhere with that method since the idea is to basically distract the dog rather than actually address the underlying issues. In a single session with Anthony we were able to address and overcome some pretty significant issues. Banksy is reactive and anxious on a leash but in one hour with Anthony, we had Banksy walking neatly next to us and hardly reacting to dogs we passed on the leash. He no longer pulls us down the street, he's calmer and happier and we can even greet dogs we walk past without lunging and wild barking! YOU NEED ANTHONY!

Kristen Scott: just as much as the dogs he positively impacts. My dog has developed aggressive and protective behaviors over the last two years and after one hour with Anthony, we made huge strides in curbing this. I couldn't recommend him more. THANK YOU, ANTHONY!

Bruno J Sutter III: We are very happy with how our training session went. Anthony worked with us to get clear on how to communicate with and properly handle our dog, Rocky. The improvement has been dramatic in only 9 days of implementing what we learned from Anthony. We will absolutely be working with him again. I would recommend Calm Energy Dog Training to anyone that wants the best for themselves and their dog.

Deborah Robb: Anthony at Calm Energy Dog Training was fantastic working with our pup Rocky! He is very knowledgable and helped give us tools to better train Rocky with the leash, getting him aquatinted with other dogs at the dog park, and how to train him to actually use his bed. I highly recommend Anthony and we are so grateful for his help!

Ashley Ryan: We took our incredibly fearful adopted dog to two other trainers before finding Anthony and under his guidance our dog can now walk in a pack of dogs, go to the dog park, and attend daycare without issue. He went from being too nervous to even walk outside on the street to doing so with total ease. Anthony’s approach to training is very different than most of the trainers who just throw the dog a treat for learning to roll over. Anthony is interested in helping the dog learn the correct behavior without bribery and he instills the dogs with a sense of confidence under his guidance. If your dog is very fearful and adopted from a bad situation please don’t think that there’s nothing you can do! Contact Calm Energy and your dog will become confident and happy like ours did.

Leila Darabi: Anthony at Calm Energy Dog Training has helped us understand, predict and manage the behavior of our high energy herding dog so that we can all live our best lives in the big city. When we first contacted Anthony, our shepherd mix had a strong herding instinct and was chasing bikes into traffic. We were nervous to let her off leash, which in turn meant she wasn't getting enough exercise. Anthony helped us get to the root causes of the behavior and correct it so that we can comfortably and confidently take her out and let her run and play with her friends. We have since taken both the on leash and off leash workshops -- and highly recommend them to all of our new dog owner friends.

Sam Geoffroy: Anthony was amazing with my dog, Patrice. Within the 1st 2-hour session there was a drastic difference in his behavior and he had already grasped how to walk on the leash without going crazy or walking in front of me. I can't say enough good things about the puppy class as well. They were well worth the cost and literally solved so many issues with my dog that I wasn't sure could ever be fully corrected. I highly recommend.

Alex Jasper: Anthony is a great trainer. The reviews are true, the articles are true, the results are real. Very hands on with a well rounded approach to forming a language and connection with your pup. If this is something you are looking to achieve you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better. In just 2 sessions we’ve made huge strides in separation anxiety, leash pulling and off leash recall. Our pup’s attitude has changed as well. He is more confident and less chatty, also much less interested in hurling himself after every bird he sees. Thank you Anthony!

Yuruani Olguin Dog Training: what do users think?

Kennedy Grimes: Yuri is wonderful! I’ve learned how to train Douglas through watching her and having her watch me so I know I’m doing positive reinforcement. I’m excited for our next few lessons!

Cynthia Yung: Yuri is a phenomenal dog trainer! I got a Shiba as a first time dog owner and wouldn’t have been able to do it without Yuri. I hired her from day one and my Shiba still consistently gets compliments from random strangers on being well behaved. Shibas are notorious for not having recall, but Yuri helped establish a solid one early on. I can now let my dog off-leash at the beach or during hikes and can totally trust his recall. She’s extremely patient and we learned a lot about communication and bonding with our dogs. I always recommend her to friends who just got their dogs or people who are struggling with training. She only uses positive reinforcement, and although it may take longer than adverse training methods to see results, you will realize that the results last much longer and you won’t ruin the trust between you and your dog.

Elizabeth Marks: We started working with Yuri right after picking up our 8 week old puppy. She's now 14 weeks and we are delighted with her progress. Yuri works wonders! She's wonderful with our girl and teaches us so much about raising and training a puppy. So grateful! And now at 6 months, our puppy continues to build on the foundation Yuri gave us. Loved our follow-up this past month and will continue to schedule review sessions with Yuri.

Dena H: to help you train your dog. She is the most understanding, patient, responsive and kind trainer I have ever worked with. She taught my pup Teddy all the basics and then some. She truly takes the time to get to know you and your dog and I couldn’t recommend her more!

Richard Azzolino: Had an awesome experience with their Trainer Stephanie. I would highly recommend her and the training school. They love dogs and their results prove their methods.

Jessica Desalvo: Yuruani was so knowledgeable, she truly cares and it shows! We loved having her train our rescue dog. She was patient and had a lesson plan for each visit. We enjoyed getting to know her throughout our sessions ! Highly highly recommend for any training needs

Lissa Warshaw: June and I learned so much from Yuri. She is patient, knowledgeable, and doesn’t waste anytime getting down to business. She also sends follow up information for each session right after she leaves which is very helpful. Highly recommend her!

Daniel Adams: We worked with Sana for in-home training as she helped us with our Italian Greyhound puppy. We live in a one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan and had never had a puppy in the city before, so we were eager to get some guidance on how best to train our energetic, mischievous, and sometimes overwhelming new addition to the family.Sana immediately set our minds at ease and quickly helped us with training our puppy. She was calm, reassuring, direct, and extremely professional. Her lessons taught us how to understand the needs of our dog, how to respond, and how to resolve any distressing behavior with positive reinforcement and thoughtful communication. Sana was always available to answer questions via email or phone and Yuruani herself took several calls with us to address some of our concerns about our dog's behavior. We are better dog "parents" and our puppy has been happier and healtheir since we've worked with Sana and Yuruani. I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any training needs you may have.

Katie: Sana saved my training experience with a “difficult” puppy. Moody absolutely adores her! Sana’s training strategies have been customized for his personality and highly successful. And all rewarding the positive!Yuri and Sana are both professional, reliable and responsive to all my questions. We still looking forward to our continuing education!

Jeffrey Brue: I first approached Anthony with intentions of getting the finest quality training for my final American bully puppy. I'm 65 years old my last best friend of 13 years Mason passed 3 years ago and I held great expectations for his predecessor Slash .along with the training Anthony covered everything from A-Z training too health care I feel honored to be able too learn from the true Master his life experiences are far and beyond anyone in this field if ever in the future his courses are available I strongly encourage the opportunity Thankyou Anthony

ivan g: Very informative dog training program. Thank you Anthony!

stephen demasi: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,Value

michael thaler: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueAnthony Jerone's School of Dog training is a great place to become a Dog Trainer. I didn't know alot about dog training until I meet with Anthony. He is funny, kind, and knows his stuff. If your looking to become certified in Dog Training then Anthony is the guy to go to.

Maya Beit-Hallahmi: Positive:Professionalism

Brian S: Critical:Value

Jillian DeSantis: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueLearned so much from Anthony and absolutely loved the course! I highly highly highly recommend that anyone who wants to train dogs sign up and learn from Anthony! 👍🏻

O “Wirelessflame” Ziegler: Great school! I would recommend to anyone who wants to become a dog trainer!!

Vanesha Carvalho: Learning from Anthony has been an amazing experience. His knowledge base and expertise on everything dog has set me up to begin my future in dog training. I learned from the best there is. I'm eternally grateful I made this decision to come to his school.

Shay s: I’m so glad that I went through the program, it was very informative. There were things that I wouldn’t have learned on my own. One of the things that I enjoyed the most was the hands on training. It’s great to have someone there to tell you what areas you can improve on. I would definitely recommend the program to a friend. I’m very excited to continue my journey as a trainer especially since I have a great foundation! Thank you Anthony!!

mandi tong: Very disappointed! I was passed to a trainer called Ian Braunstein. First of all he no show on the first time, came late the second time. He never mention cost of evaluation, definitely not worth $200 with the unprofessional behavior in less than an hour.

Schuyler Hecht: I have enjoyed this experience, and learned alot about behaviorism and method. This class was certainly a necessity for me furthering my career in pet care. Anthony's knowledge and experience is invaluable and its truly special how someone can have such a positive influence on both two and four legged souls. Thank you Anthony.

Brianna Molloy: Choosing Anthony’s class was the best decision I could of made for my career as a dog trainer. Prior to going to Anthony’s School I had been dog training at Petco and worked as a vet assistant for over a year. While I thought I had already had a lot of knowledge in the field Anthony’s class has taught me way over my expectations. While I had came with intentions of mainly learning about training, Anthony touches upon CPR and first aid, tracking and trailing, bite work and so much more. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to further there knowledge of dogs to take Anthony's class!

ROSE HOLLOMAN: After working as a Civilian for the Police Department and NYC Transit Authority for 30 years, now I have a new career as a Master Certified Dog Trainer, and that's due to the one and only Grand Master Dog Trainer and Instructor Anthony Jerone. Thanks to Anthony, I'm looking forward to start a Doggie DayCare, Boarding, and Training. Highly recommend Anthony for his theory, hands-on, and the location is easy to get to by public transportation or by car.

Nicholas Severino: The moment I walked into class I knew I made the right decision by choosing Anthony Jerones dog training school. From the beginning I was amazed at how much knowledge about dogs Anthony had, as well as the countless amount of experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments he has worked with. Since starting his class I have gained the knowledge and confidence needed to enter the dog training world and be successful. I would absolutely recommend anyone who is looking to become a dog trainer or anyone who wants their dog trained right, to go to Anthony Jerone because he will not let you down. Thank you to Anthony for taking the time to ensure I be successful in my dog training career.

Alex Kong: Positive:Quality,ValueGreat lesson. Lots of information from school. Good for the business person or the regular trainer.

Urban K-9 Dog Training: what do users think?

Hamish McCormack: Dani is a wonderful trainer who is as comfortable working with beloved pets as she is with high drive working dogs. We’ve worked with Dani since our giant schnauzer was 8 weeks old and she’s been wonderful in every respect - easy to work with, expert in her advice and truly wonderful with our dog, who has also boarded with her twice. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Amir Stein: , always available outside of lessons to help as needed, and provides videos of the lessons you worked on together. Our relationship with Juna is in a completely different place compared to our time before meeting Dani. Do not hesitate on Dani - she is the best.

Matthew Kantack: . Not only does he listen, we have learned place, stay, come, leave it, drop it, and lets go. We have been able to do off leash walks in Prospect Park and even on trails in nature preserves. The best part though has been the bonding and emergence of his goofy personality. I strongly urge anyone that is struggling with their dog to seek out the guidance offered by Urban K-9 Dog Training.

Mike Etlinger: after having tried all of the collars in existence.

Gabriel Barrios: . Furthermore, we had a pair of cats that we wanted to make sure Chamchi would get along well with.We knew he was a great dog in need of just a bit of help, and Natasha gave us all the tools we needed to get him there. No longer do we need to feel the pain of having an arm pulled by a 50 lb dog for twenty straight minutes! He gets along so lovingly with his cat siblings as well. Natasha was always responsive and eager to provide more information around not just the how but the why's behind the techniques she was teaching us. I feel as though my partner and I both left the training sessions with a much deeper understanding of dog drives and behavior. As a bonus, our dog was completely in love with her! He looked forward to each and every one of our classes, and to this day I have not met a person who brings him as much joy as she did from the very start. Even after our private training sessions were done, Natasha would check in every now and then to see if there was anything else she could help with. All around, this was an excellent experience. Thank you Natasha and Urban K-9!!!

Alicia Angeles: Natasha was absolutely amazing. Super easy to talk to and learn from. My partner and I had zero dog experience and came in knowing close to nothing about our rescue - so it’s safe to say she was a HUGE help.

Arunabha Chakravarty: . Having said all of this, she's a wonderful and loving dog and is protective of us to no end but we wanted her to feel more comfortable in the world and around people and dogs that she's never met before. We set up an initial lesson with Dani and have had several lessons with her over the course of the summer. There is no overnight cure for these things but Dani immediately taught us a number of tangible training techniques, provided helpful advice on specific scenarios and taught us how to become more comfortable with guiding Oreo through formerly stressful situations. The techniques and methods learned require consistent practice and repetition on behalf of the owner but they quickly helped us inject a much needed level of trust and confidence between us and Oreo. She started making progress from day 1. Dani was wonderful in as much as she helped train Oreo, she helped train us. This all helped, and continues to help, chip away at our lovely pup's anxiety and occasional aggressive behavior. She has become a much more confident, happy and attentive dog. Can't recommend Dani and Urban K-9 enough!

Jordan Litt: have been so incredible to work with over the past year. When we adopted our rescue we quickly realized we were in waaaay over our heads, and that's when Dani came to save the day. Immediately upon meeting her our anxious dog was suddenly at ease. She taught us all of the important things that we needed to do, and helped us focus on the baby steps needed to work up to our long-term goals. Not only was Dani attentive, supportive and extremely knowledgeable during sessions, she also made

Thomas Desanna: They have a good agility course for dogs and offer classes

Hannah Keith: Dani is an amazing dog trainer. When I moved to New York, my rescue pup was extremely overwhelmed and was having severe dog reactions to the point where I was absolutely dreading going outside for fear of passing dogs, which was inevitable. In one session, a massive shift happened, and in just a few sessions, my dog is able to walk behind, in front of, and towards other dogs on the busy streets of Manhattan. We still have our moments, but it is 1000% more manageable, and I can't thank Dani enough for changing our lives! Don't hesitate to reach out to her -- her balanced approach made positive change attainable for a situation that felt hopeless.

Emily Bretz: . Dani even took extra time to work with Frankie, and we could not be more grateful. We highly recommend her for all your dog training needs!!

Ray Lee: Meh, I experienced better client communications from other trainers. I'm not saying that what these folks do here is bad. I just wouldn't know. I emailed dani several times over the last week and so but not once did I get any followup after the initial email. Perhaps they didn't want my business. Perhaps it was something else but that's fine with me. That's just 3k to someone else who is willing to respond to a simple email. I even followed up with a call after 48 hours and that went straight to voicemail several times to email again. Not really sure what the point of that is but maybe other people would have better luck than me. I overall went with another trainer who sent me 5 follow up emails before the initial consultation which to me, is key to a great business relationship.

Jacqueline Illum: We are currently working with McClain on training our 10 year old terrier, who after a long run in the shelter, has some leash reactivity and anxiety in certain situations. Since day one, McClain has brought a sense of calm into this house and has really helped us feel confident that we can train Ludo to feel comfortable in all situations, or at least have a safe place to go. We have more lessons but so far this experience has been wonderful and we are so thankful we found McClain & Urban K-9!

Shirly Schvartzman: I reached out to Urban K-9 after we adopted a 1.5yr old dog, as first time owners I was clueless and overwhelmed on how to get our cute cuddly dog to stop barking at other dogs on our walks. I worked with Mcclain for one session and she taught me a few strategies on how to help my dog correct that behavior. It literally took that one lesson and after a few weeks we are 99% bark free! I am so thankful and relieved because now Cookie is the perfect dog and we both are enjoying our outings more!

brian krutkovich: Mclain is a great trainer see a huge difference with our 7 month puppy

erin cunneff: Dani is truly a MIRACLE WORKER! I was at my wits end with my 3 month old puppy, I had no idea where to start between the teething, ankle biting, crying, and leash pulling. But then, Dani came to the rescue. Within minutes of meeting and getting to know my puppy Chip, she had him figured out, and he was listening to sit and come within minutes. Dani takes the time to analyze your concerns as a pet owner, observes your dog's behavior, and gives you all the resources and training needed to train your dog to be your best friend. One thing I find fascinating is that she brought her older dog Rain with her to our training session, and taught me the importance of socializing your animal to other animals, humans, and stimulus in the environment. Her adorable dog Rain even provided some "corrections" to my dog, which allows him to learn what is acceptable and what is not. Dani is the best, she has made being a dog Mom the most amazing experience!

Roni Rose: I have an 8yo small dog who terrorized other dogs on walks. Walks were dreadful for us. We purchased a 5 pack of classes, and have only done 3 so far -- McClain has been AMAZING and my dog is already SO MUCH BETTER on walks! Cannot recommend Urban K-9 enough!

Kevin Gan: Dani has been awesome to work with. She really knows her stuff. She’s the best.

Laura P: , that there was no way we could just expect to her to go along with things. Outside she pulled on the leash and just generally paid us no attention at all. From the outset Dani was just amazing. She is always calm, clear, reassuring and encouraging. To us she's just one of those people who just comes across as completely genuine, and evidently extremely knowledgable and experienced. She gave us simple takeaways and things to practice and we really saw a difference. We started with the basics of clicker training and then carried us through the things we learned. For us it mostly focused on heeling, sit/down stay etc.We did about 5-7 sessions and then course carried on practicing. Now we about 9 months on from working with Dani and I can confidently take my dog Lucy for off leash time in Prospect Park. It's still a work in progress and I notice that anytime I'm not consistent with the approaches Dani showed us things slip a bit, but we really are in such a different place from before we started working with Urban K-9.Another achievement for our new dog Lucy that was only possible thanks to what we learned with Dani is that she was certified by a non-profit to do therapy dog work with me
