Aux Merveilleux de Fred a.k.a. Marvelous by Fred: what do users think?

HoldTightAndPretendItsAPlan: Naturally, we also ordered a large the chocolate chip bread for the house and it's really good. I like it best toasted with a little butter on top with a cup of coffee :

Adam Gomulka: Delicious croissant and creamique

Philippe Intraligi: Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a beautiful little bakery not to miss! The puff pastry’s a magical experience! Service is always very friendly and welcoming. A taste of Paris in New York!

Curly Bee: One of my favourite places for croissants 🥐❤️

Jacqueline Aguilar: Pretty great meringue desserts! They have many different types of flavors and toppings and they come in a small or larger size. They have really good croissants as well. No inside seating but during warmer months they have two small benches that you can sit on while you eat.

Alex Vagman: Staff at this location is always warm and welcoming. My go to spot for croissant's, one of the best in the city. Their waffles are quite amazing as well.

D. Majesty: This is your day fathers that have been alienated from your child. Please make sure you celebrate yourself today .I just stopped by here to get some more sugar so I can continue to run the streets of New York City. Live your life 💗

Marilia Saraga: Fresh brioche

Nick R: Skip the meringues and try all the brioches you won’t be disappointed

Xuemeng Li: Learned a new word and a new dessert here - Merveilleux. In English, it’s a combination of meringue and cream, but of course, more complex. We tried the big chocolate one and their coffee. Price was not horrible, with tax, 2 coffee and a big dessert for $17, same level as a typical New York bakery. Most seats are on the loft. The bench was comfortable. But since it was a self served space, and we didn’t see cleaning wipes provided, some tables were quite dirty; the trash was so full.

vlad: Amazing meringue

Jody Diou: OMG!! It was Sooooooo Amazing!!! I would greatly give 10 Stars if I could!! I just came across this while walking to my hotel and I went back every day!!!

A.J. H: I don't know how to even describe the beautiful treats that come from this place. It's an absolute masterpiece. From first glance you would think that these desserts would be super heavy but they are extremely light. But while they are also light they are so rich and delectable in flavor. If you want to give someone you love that has a sweet tooth an absolute treat , this is the place. Or if you want to impress someone you adore. I will be here to visit every time I get a chance. 1000/10

Noah Henyon: , chestnut, and amarena cherry where they actually use real cherries. Among the fastest and friendliest and most elegant setting and service in the west village.- 3/20/2023, Monday: Took out the dark chocolate chip brioche just before closing at 7:30pm, and it was still very fresh and of high quality.- 5/13/2023, Saturday 6pm: Took home a selection of the raisin, plain, and chocolate chip brioche, and all of the bread was very fresh, tender, and sweet.

Chris Mitscherlich: Amazing croissants!

JLC: Very good croissant

Molly M: The type of place you almost want to gatekeep. The brioche sandwiches are some of the best in the city.Pro tip: get there before noon!

Asaf Lavi: .

George G: Yes Chocolate 🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐

Steph T: Great authentic croissants, as good as in France! Super nice staff. Great cappuccino

iaraerrika: Best croissant in NYC.

Federica De Angelis: I'm italiana...and here you can find the best cappuccino!!! And the chocolate croissant are a Dreams

James Worth: Chocolate almond croissant is divine. Tarte aux fraises was also perfect. This place is truly a hidden gem. Prices are new york reasonable.

Roberto Paris: Best pastry selection in all downtown

Carolyn Weddell: Grateful for their annual Galette des Rois, which are luscious AND have the *BEST* feves

Oleksandra: Great pastries, desserts, coffees and nice staff.

Catherine Papilon: The worst Buche de Noël !!Grand Marnier flavor tasted like Rhum!!The pink frosting had no butter and tasted like chemical !!!We threw the cake in the garbage and very embarrassing at the Christmas table with our guest !!Just an awful experience

Kara M: This year we ordered a chocolate Bouche de Noel from Ceci Cela and were not disappointed! Two thumbs up on taste and price. Highly recommend.

District 14: The croissant was good. Almost the same taste as the one in France. Maybe a little too much butter tho. The baguette was terrible. Dry, dry, dry.

Madeline Sialtsis: Had a lavender latte which was really good. Great oat milk.Staff were nice. Cute little place. Would recommend.

Tina Dean: We bought a Fraisier cake which was supposed to be made with vanilla mousse and strawberries The mouse was a hard texture like a cheesecake completely bland The berries were big chunks of a hard strawberry I never had such a poor quality product like this before They use to do well but really feel that this is another place now

Romeo R. del Rosario: and not on the in-store service or quality of the establishment's products

Dominique Ansel Bakery: what do users think?

Ian Chou: World famous birthplace for the cronut. I had massively high expectations because of the hype and 3+ hour wait time. Either do pickup or doordash to skip the wait.Pineapple jam and creamy oolong tea ganache ⭐️⭐️⭐️: I'm gonna be honest. It completely failed to even get halfway to my expectations. For the pros, the construction and execution are perfect. The jam is perfectly filled and centered, and the ganache was perfectly piped. For the cons, the ganache just tasted like sugar and didn't even have a trace of oolong flavor. I also expected a croissant donut cross to be light and have layers upon layers, but it was relatively dense and tasted more like a pastry. In the end it just kind of tasted like a pineapple jam filled pastry.I don't know if I would come here again even if there was 0 line unless I got a fluke or a bad flavor because it's also ridiculously expensive.

X Z: It’s just okay. Definitely go there if you love desserts though.

Ron A: Great

Matthew Owens: Went there because my girlfriend HAD to try a cronut. It was mostly underwhelming. We were there in the early afternoon. Maybe it’s better in the morning when things are fresh? With so many amazing places in NYC, I personally would not go back.

Anna: End of day croissants don’t taste great lol go in when they’re fresh

Tugçe Korkmaz: It was a very small place. The backyard is not suitable for hot weather at all. Tooo hot. Cookie shot was fun to try.

Danny K: Absolutely beautiful and delicious must try

Andy Delgado: They didn't have Almond Crossiants when I went in this afternoon. What I had instead was good. I will try again for almond crossiants a different time.

Eduardo Alfonso: Good pastry, quick service, cronut is their specialty but they have other exquisite sweets. The prices are high but like everything in new york and more if it has a bit of fame.

Shere Saidon: Delicious bakery, I ordered on DoorDash and everything came perfectly wrapped in a nice box. Great for when you need an incredibly last minute bakery pickup for a party and want to impress everybody. Their banana espresso croissant item was amazing. Kouign Amman was delicious

Sullivan Street Bakery: what do users think?

MK Jacobs: It’s closed permanently.

Kelly B: For the hundreth time Google.... this place is CLOSED PERMANENTLY.-------Lol. Walking to the park i passed by Sullivan Bakery and instead of removing the sign that requires masks to be in line with NY law and Governor Hochul, they have doubled down and written something akin to EVEN IF FULLY VACCINATED YOU MUST WEAR A MASK.NY State does not require masks but a cashier at a retail shop demands customers cover their faces for you to spend your money???You can find great great bread without a cashier demanding you cover your face at that small local bakery on Prince or that bakery on 6th Ave near 3rd and Balthazar Bakery has reopened or even Trader Joe's.--‐---------------They carry a limited number of items making it not worth the effort and what little they do have is gone pretty early. On top of that, a female cashier screeching at customers to put on a mask before they've entered the stores makes you regret even contemplating spending money there. Dreadful woman.Terrible experience.

A A: Once upon a current time, tucked away discreetly on a quiet charming SoHo street, lets call him Sullivan shall we, lay an equally adorable little shop with delicious treats. The famished guest approached the helpful attendant who spoke with kindness and swiftly retrieved the the shortbread coconut cookie and vanilla donut. Baked on site ❤️The guest, in need of a sugar fix took a quick bite before remembering they needed to record this experience for posterity… for it was special to encounter a nice New Yorker on a rainy day.A rainy day in SoHo.The end 🙏🏽

Jeffrey Montagna: This seemed like a very low quality and high priced place to me. I would avoid.

Sanibel Sharp: I wish I could give zero stars, truly. I do have high standards when it comes to bread, but I have lowered my standards since living in New York. HOWEVER, that does not excuse the absolute DISASTER that they call bread. It was stale, the flavor was just awful, and there was an air tunnel through the whole baguette. Literally, I cut it and it was just crust—empty inside. There is much much better bread in the area… i hate to be mean because the girl working here was very friendly but the bread was just so awful I felt compelled to write something here. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money here.

Xiaomin Xie: Fresh bread, well-balanced lattes, gorgeous interior design, and sometimes beautiful cut flowers. Extremely friendly staff too!

R C: Oh how the mighty have fallen. I grew up eating here when they were were way down the block; so I was thrilled to welcome them back to the neighborhood!Wrong. I was embarrassed that I even recommended them. The dough on their "pizza " squares was soft and chewy. No crunch factor. The potatoes were half cooked. Barely any rosemary or onions. The tomato sauce was ok, but it was sparingly . Again, embarrassed that I recommended this place. It was clear that it was old & they wouldn't even toast it for us... complete opposite of what they use to be.

John Track: Recommended. Excellent bread and nice collection of small bites to go
