Creatively WILD Art Studio: what do users think?

Britton Matthews: My kids had an absolute blast at Creatively Wild summer camp. They did the stop-motion animation camp and the regular art camp, and they LOVED their time there. They couldn't wait to share their creations with me at the end of the day!

Jill Waldman: Love this place - such a neighborhood gem. Kind, patient, talented staff and my kids love going.

Adam Heimlich: I was very impressed with my daughter's work, she loved the camp, and her skills improved after only a week

Macrina Kgil: Our son has been attending various camps here for a few years now. I can always expect to pick up a happy and smiling child who worked on a real creative art project that day and wants to show me his proud accomplishments of the day. Huge thanks to the teachers at Creatively WILD Art Studio!!

Katya Hegg: Creatively Wild is truly a great place for kids and teens to explore their creativity through art and animation. We had been going to this place for years for day and summer camps and our kids always bring home great art work or movies they created. The staff are super attentive, very experienced and communication is great and I highly recommend this place!

Kent Yuen: I had been looking for an art program and camp that my son can really have his passion fostered and nurtured and we're very happy we found Creatively Wild. We've done several camps and the energy and creativity that is present is unmatched anywhere in NYC. The teachers are great and they create a fun and positive environment for all the kids there. There's nothing better than picking my son up from camp and having him walk out with something he created that day.

Noémie Trusty: As a family of 4 with a busy schedule, I loved that we could attend the summer camp by the day or half-day, this flexibility was everything for us. As our kid was looking forward to it, the program was up to her expectations: on her very first day, she brought some impressive artwork back home that we will be proudly hanging up the wall. Thank you Creatively Wild, we will see you soon.

MJ Erik: , and when I reached out to the studio, I was IMMEDIATELY switched over to the correct date. Mara was so kind and helpful about it, and rebooked me for the correct date immediately. I just discovered this studio, and they have an incredible selection of adult classes, and even offer free ones! It is so rare to get such great

Blue Girl Films: Great studio. I took a class for storyboarding with Ty and he helped me see the world around the characters on my page. An insightful and thought provoking art class that helps turn creative people into storytellers.

Emily Dore: Loved my class! Perfect. Learned so much. Big shout out to my teacher, Tyler, for making it a dream!

Brandon Mason: Our daughter LOVES this art studio!!

Anna Anna: It’s was my first experience with painting class. I have private class with Joshua. It’s a lot of fun, very relaxing, interesting and unforgettable experience. I really enjoyed working with my instructor Joshua - he is very talented, very creative and very helpful! I feel they’re so comfortable and my instructor tells me so many interesting stories about famous painters! Thank you 😊 great time !

Kiera Sky Torpie: I had such a fun experience taking Illustration for Comics and Storyboarding. Ty is a professional; he’s very knowledgeable and passionate about the material. He always came prepared for the activities listed in the syllabus but was happy to pivot in the direction of class interest. I came into it as a beginner artist and he took the time to teach me the basics of illustration. It was a casual and comfortable vibe every week and I’m really excited to keep practicing what he taught me.

Leah Kim: My son LOVES this studio! He takes the Tuesday graffiti class and he absolutely loves his teacher, Mr. G. This is a kid that protests nearly every afterschool activity, but he is always very eager to get to class. It's a great program with great teachers. Highly recommend!

Lori Kresse: Such a great spot for classes and creativity

Mar: I registered my child for a single day class at Creatively WILD Art Studio. My child truly enjoyed the class and the whole atmosphere at the art studio. She was full of inspiration, and I saw progress in her drawings from that one class. We are now looking forward to more lessons and to signing up for many more drawing classes for years to come. We are so grateful for this experience.

Zara Watkins: I took a 4 week beginner drawing course with Tyler and it was fantastic.Tyler is patient and welcoming with an absolute beginner like me. He also gives individualized attention and tips to each student based on their level. I am taking the same course again now and Tyler gives me more difficult exercises so I keep progressing. It's a great class and I will keep coming.

Josh: Great classes for kids and adults. Nice and knowledgeable staff. The adult painting class was very useful for technique and color blending as a novice

Amanda Ferguson: , and drop off/pick up was quick and simple.

New York School of the Arts: what do users think?

Jane Brown: Student work is amazing, and the class ambiance inspiring. An upbeat, energized environment for artists of all ages.

Lisa Hirsch: place to be involved with. Highly recommend it to All.

Ftjdb Gdjri: 😒🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮😳 NO NO 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Nilanjan Jana: Nice

Jessica Yoshino: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value

jeanne look: I just finished an Online Tools class with Nadia Martinez online and published my website yesterday and already sold a piece from it! I am thrilled with the way it came out. It really looks good and that is all down to Nadia's advice and guidance every step of the way! I would highly recommend Nadia's course. In fact, I just finished my first revision on my site carefully following notes I took from Nadia's instructions.

Nina Reid: I attended the open house on Wednesday and I genuinely don't even know where to start with this review. I arrived a bit earlier than usual, and there is NO direction on where to go. I went to the office on the second floor and a person told me to just come back later. I was kind of surprised, like - is there no lounge/waiting area? So fine, I go ahead to wait somewhere else. As soon as I walk off I literally hear this person say "There's always one." Uh? Okay...sorry my presence bothered you. I come back 15 minutes later and the doors that were "under construction" opened up and I was directed to go to the elevator. I stood there for awhile and then the staff member finally said "Uhh... Don't forget to press the button!" And go where? Never informed me with any direction whatsoever. I thought they were going to guide me and we were going to go on a tour. But nope, we ended up going to the basement, and there was nothing but a big open gallery/exhibition space and no where to sit! This is bad for the handicapped! I literally saw a person SIT on one of the exhibitions on the floor. I felt so confused! I just wanted to learn more about the classes and programs at this art school.Instead, when I was waiting around for an HOUR, everyone was talking amongst each other and it was starting to get crowded. Not ONE person came in and gave any guidance when we're about to do the tour. I just ended up leaving on my own, I was tired of waiting around. Waste of my time coming after work to learn nothing. This seemed more like an event for a showcase/exhibition. Please do better with your event planning - like a pamphlet or SOMETHING. I'm usually not the one to complain or leave a bad review but it was frustrating.I gave an extra star because the space was nice - other than that - bad customer service.

Susan Kaufman: Fabulous place to do artClasses, workshopsExcellent teacher/artistsDrawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture,Very beautiful studio environment

Steven Vando: titled “Online Tools for Artists”, instructed by Nadia Martinez, at the New York School of the Arts. I had an exceptional experience. I found the classes to be extremely informative. As the curriculum description states, you will learn how to effectively research opportunities, build an online portfolio, website or blog, and submit artwork for competitions. Using social networking to promote yourself and design your branding to attract traffic to your website.Nadia’s knowledge and experience as an artist and curator is limitless. I highly recommend this course for all artists interested in taking their careers to the next level.Steven Vando

Alaina Pierce: Hi! Im thinking of going to Art School, and is this a college for Art or not?

sandra constantine: I have taken numerous courses at the New York School of the Arts. Printmaking as well Abstract Painting and Alternative Materials and Cyanotype The professors are extreemely professional and knowledege. The classes are not overly large so you are able to work with the professors individually. They go beyond to help you further your own creative vision. The students are very welcoming and there is always interesting dialogue between all involved. A special enviroment with much enthisuiasm for the artistic process.

The Art Students League of New York: what do users think?

Jane Brown: Students file metals like copper, and rusted metal in small, under-ventilated classrooms, wearing no respirator.Students use industrial sanders and wood grinders in a room with no door and half walls. Wood dust clouds drift into the locker areas, and adjacent classrooms.

fabricio fontolan: Fantastic school with great masters teaching. Every brick exhale art

Nouvelle Chicane: I am learning so much at this incredible gem of a school in midtown. Great teachers who are patient but unlimited in their instruction capabilities.

Andre Tchen: Open to all levels. Many well known artists started here from nowhere. Ai Wei Wei was a taxi driver back when he started here. Of course he was already talented.

Blue Frieze: Overpriced, many of the male staff members are sexist / queerphobic and not helpful. People work competitively than collaborative and the gallery isn’t to die for to see!

Sky (Sky): Disappointed to see this school, which used to be a beacon of openness and unlimited possibilities succumb to draconian mandate measures. It's been 2.5 years and yet they still fall victims to measures that are no longer relevant. They've now become a backwards thinking institution in a poorly maintained facility were students are forced to adhere to narrow thinking mindsets. The exact opposite of what an artist should be.

Virginia Soyka: Art students can attend by the day, week, month, or 4 yr certification. All mediums,, Many pros, use studio facilities for Painting , Sculpture, and Graphics.

Elaine Denton: If you go regularly and paint paint paint you will vastly improve. Some of the best teacher/artists are here and you also will learn from the others in the class. I can't say enough good things about the League. It is run by the members who come from the student body. The members vote for the Board of Control. And anyone who studies there can be a member after putting in a certain amount of hours. A wonderful place with a wonderful sense of community.

Astrid Lopez Perez: Its wonderful and enriching.

Alternative Spirituality: They're closed for 9 days to inventory a store that small? Very inconvenient. And besides, they've barely been open after having 2 yrs off🙄

Robert Young: The art league is great and amazing. They have some really talented students. Staff was nice but inconsistent on their own rules. That was a bummer. But nice to feel welcomed in the old city where people can enjoy. Great teachers and exhibitions! A magnificent place

Diane Parker: Wonderful environment

Art Workshop Experience: what do users think?

Beth Lipton: AWE is a really special place. My daughter attended the portfolio prep program for her high school applications, and Marney and the whole staff at AWE truly brought out the best in her. She came away not only with an exceptional portfolio, but also more confidence as an artist. I would absolutely recommend AWE for any kid interested in art, whether for fun or for a prep program.

Lindsay Manley: My daughter started taking portfolio classes with Marney in 7th grade. A little early, but she got into LaGuardia High School with the portfolio she put together in 8th grade. Another friend’s daughter is at Art and Design High School after attending AWE.

C Mc: My son had a great time at the summer camp. He doesn't like a lot of unstructured time, so was pleased with all the options that kept him busy throughout the day. The staff were supportive in his creative efforts, focusing on expression over perfection. And he loved the new skills he learned. He wants to return next summer.

Little Shop of Crafts: what do users think?

Theresa “Theresa”: I took my three and half year-old granddaughter to this facility about a month ago.The attendant at the cashier station was very rude from the very beginning. The first thing she did, when I paid her $72.00 for 3 small cheap looking white clay figurines that my granddaughter wanted, she returned my change with the receipt and slammed it down outside the counter to where I was standing without saying a word.Subsequently, after we did some hands-on painting to one of the cheap looking white clay figurines my granddaughter ran to the sink to wash her hands and she shouted at her to “stop running”. Really, she is three and half years old, and, I was right behind her.Next, when we had finished painting one of the cheap looking white clay figurines and took it to her for drying, my granddaughter stopped to play with the little plates on the wall and she shouted again at my granddaughter to stop playing with the plates. Really, she is three and half years old.The final straw came when we had finished painting the last piece of cheap looking white clay and took it to her for drying; within two minutes she brought the piece back in a paper bag and handed it to us without saying a word. As I stepped outside between the two doorways, I noticed this terrible chemical smell coming from the bags. I went back inside and told her how awful the smell was, and, that the smell gave me an instant headache. I also told her that I felt she did not give the figurines enough drying time, and, because of that, the chemical smell was more intense. I asked if she could let it dry and I we’ll come and pick it up after my errands around the area - she refused. But what worried me the most was while I was speaking with her, she kept shouting at my three-and-half year-old grandchild, who was fidgeting with her mask, as any three-year-old would do, to put her mask on and proceeded to tell her she had to leave the place if she is not going to keep it on. I could not believe the way this attendant kept shouting at my three-year-old grandkid throughout our stay. The way we were treated that day was inexcusable behavior by this attendant and we will never return to this place ever again. A word of advice to you, especially if you are minority, to be cautious of going to this place. Also, we were seated by the entrance door and another assistant was cleaning the doors and left all the doors open, and that day was 20 degrees outside. We were freezing!Note: When I got home, I had to leave the figurines pieces outside for about three hours in the hallway for them to dry and the chemical smell to dissipate.

Maria Molton: We celebrated our daughter’s 8th birthday party at Little Shop of Crafts and it was INCREDIBLE!! Joy, and her entire team literally spread joy, enthusiasm, creativity, fun, kindness and laughter to every person who walks through the door! Our daughter and her friends had a blast creating beautiful crafts, face painting and dancing. It is so astonishingly impressive how this team of amazing women keep the kids interested and so happy with such freedom and, at the same time, structure. Everything flowed perfectly due to their seamless precision. Thanks so much Little Shop for your Big success!

LC Jeffcoat: process and was welcoming. Should we ever come back to visit NY, we will definitely be back!

Amy Fletcher: Had my daughter’s 7th birthday party here and it was fantastic! The staff was super helpful and fun. Kids had a blast!

Angela M. Glover: I love ❤️ it‼️ My daughter told me that the shop was still around and how many great memories she had off when I took her and my son when they where young. Now she planning to take my granddaughter! Lovely ! Oh! I still have the craft one of that both my and son made many, many years ago!

Monique Dixon: Thank you Sabrina and the entire team. My entire family had an amazing time and looks forward to coming back again. The professionalism and patience was amazing. The ability to accommodate all ages and different situations without becoming overwhelmed or frustrated was impressive. I will highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great experience followed by excellent customer service.

Sofi: such a fun activity to do in the city, and amazing customer service

Xilena Toris: I went there to have a good time and I expended I think $70 and it was not worthy. The brushes I got were damage, they wouldn’t work if you really want to do a good painting. Very disappointed.

Susana Dominguez: Wonderful place! Brought my 2 little girls to paint paint pottery and we all had a great time. The ladies who work at the shop were extremely sweet and accommodating, and the venue felt very welcoming and relaxing. Will definitely go back!

Yanni Legrand: my niece love anything Art when i found this place online i couldn't wait to take her i told her we were going on a date when we got there she was so excited and even more so when she saw all the different items to choose from we had a great time and now i am the best aunt ever lol

Gregory Sabel: Super kind and helpful staff, made sure that we were able to have lots of fun and the entire process was incredibly enjoyable.

Marla Goldsmith: I took my daughter the other day and we had a wonderful experience. We felt very safe, things were very clean, staff was very friendly, other patrons were respectful and we had a great afternoon at Little Shop!

Lindsay: . All I had to do was pick up the bag, have a blast painting at home, and bring the pieces back to be glazed. Little Shop of Crafts

Marina Poplavskaya Guedouar: This not so little shop is always packed. We need them to expand to the UES, so we don't have to travel long way. You will definitely find your new hobby addiction here and spend amazing time with your family and friends. Is great for parties. Team works hard and do their best to accommodate all needs and demands. Is good for all ages and tastes.

Avi Skidelsky: They helped me with my proposal and were extremely accomadating to everything that I asked for and even gave helpful suggestions on other things to do. Joy was a great help and was available at all times to answer questions and speak to clarify details and plans.

Ashcan Studio of Art | Online Art Classes NYC, Art Portfolio School in NYC, Art Portfolio Preparation Courses NYC, Summer Art Program NYC, Painting Classes NYC: what do users think?

Harriet Barovick: Ashcan's instructors are amazing. More than that, the directors understanding of and kindness toward young adults applying to college, and all of the stress that goes with it, is unsurpassed. We are so grateful for the skilled instructors and kind souls of Ashcan!

Winnie Hu: My daughter has tried a half-dozen art programs in New York City in the past 10 years and Ashcan is the best one by far. The other programs had large and impersonal classes and often spent more time taking students on field trips to museums than on teaching them art skills. While that was fine when my daughter was younger, she wanted more instruction and studio time as she got more serious about her art. Ashcan helped her to develop skills, experiment with mediums, and collaborate with teachers and other students. It has become her second home this past year while she has been working on her college portfolio. Mr. Kim and the instructors are great and they work closely with every student to ensure a highly personalized experience. My daughter has learned so much, it has been amazing to watch her progress. She has won gold keys in the Scholastic art contest and was just accepted early decision to NYU's art program. We highly recommend the Ashcan experience!

Liu Hsinyi: Highly recommend! My son got accepted to both schools he wanted to attend.

Cassandra Li: Coming from a non-art background I went to Ashcan to get help with my portfolio. It was great working around other people with the same goals and with teachers that are knowledgable and passionate, and it was really helpful to have Mr. Kim there for advice and to always keep me on track with deadlines. After studying there 6 days a week for 8 months I was able to get into all the schools I applied to with very generous scholarships, including an MFA program with a fellowship offer. I feel that Ashcan definitely broadened my horizons in art, and I am extremely grateful to everyone at Ashcan!

Elias Herder: The instruction here is very dedicated, patient and kind. When it comes to student work, the instructors will engage you on a level of depth and rigor you will not find elsewhere. In short, Ashcan is sure to help you bring your work to the next level. I'm grateful to have gone here, not only because I got into my dream school, but also because Ashcan was like a "second home"-a place to spend hours honing one's craft, surrounded by creative, inspiring peers. I highly recommend Ashcan for any art/design student!

Geovanna Septimio: Ashcan is the best school you can find to prepare your portfolio in NYC. All teachers were very supportive, in Special Mr. Kim; he helped me during the whole application process; it's was fundamental for my acceptance! I really appreciate the entire team from Ashcan!

Nozima Ergashzoda: I found Ashcan after a simple Google search hoping to improve my portfolio so I could get into my dream school, FIT. Sora and Mr. Kim were extremely helpful and patient with me, and explained everything thoroughly before I had started. I had close to no drawing skills whatsoever and I had never touched a sewing machine in my life, but thanks to Mr. Kim and Stefani, who helped with my sketches and garments, I learned many new things and my skills improved dramatically. I got into my dream school and I could not have done it without Ashcan. The environment is very comfortable, you are always surrounded by other passionate students with dreams. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but I think it was worth it, I am very happy with my results. Thank you so much !!!

Ma Isabel Ramos: tailored specific classes in preparation for his art portfolio. Our son was always inspired and motivated when he attended classes at 34th street, the art instructors are all very professional and attentive to the students.Ashcan art gave the direction and tools needed. It's thrilling to say our son was accepted to Fiorello Laguardia H.S. and Frank Sinatra H.S. art programs. Thank you for all you do Ashcan

Joan LI: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueA really good experience with Ashcan studio. My son developed his drawing skills as well as his portfolio. Good portfolio preparation for LaGuardia High school.will still work with Ashcan.

Nandana Lathesh: An art school which acted as a bridge towards my dream! way of teaching is brilliant and organized, which makes it easier to work on your works without stress. 10/10 would recommend any art student or anyone who needs any guidance related to art to attend their classes!!

Jihyun Moon: I studied in Ashcan for 8 months. Thanks to this school, I was able to improve my skills and knowledge a lot and make an amazing portfolio. The teachers are so professional and enthusiastic by giving their full attention to each students!! And the staffs are so nice and friendly. I’ve gotten into a school with a large amount of scholarship! Especially, director Kim, he contacted the school and helped me to get useful resources about application every time. I'm really grateful to Kim and teachers !!! I’ve studied in many other art schools, Ashcan is the best one ever. I strongly recommend this school!

zhimi zhimiding: Instructors are very helpful and friendly. They are great artists, passionate about Art and teaching.you get your own table and storage space. With the help I received from Ashcan, I got into many schools with scholarships.

a: Ashcan helped me get into all of my top schools with generous scholarships! I learned so much here taking specialized classes from many teachers, the learning was fun and relaxing yet very structured and detailed. I left each class session feeling I learned so, so much. I am so grateful to the Ashcan school for what it has done for me and my future, I wouldn't go anywhere else for art college and portfolio prep.

Seulki Heo: I have known the director, Sunyoung Kim for many years, he has been very supportive and professional. While I was the student in Ashcan Studio of Art, I learned a lot from knowledgeable and professional teachers and I was able to focus on making my portfolio in a kind and friendly environment. Even after I finished my master program, Ashcan studio of Art has been a great educational institution to build up my art career in New York.

Ring Rang: A good educational studio, there are helpful and friendly teachers who help me to achieve great success.

ELLIE J: I studied in the Flushing and Manhattan campuses of Ashcan Studio of Art as transfer student. I was accepted to my school of choice with a generous scholarship. I didn’t really have good skills of drawing and painting when I first went to Ashcan. Ashcan is full of instructors who are knowledgeable, responsible and accommodating. They often check on every student in the class and always try their best to teach more and help more with the specific project. The entire atmosphere in Ashcan was comfortable, friendly and inspiring. I felt that I made more progress after each project. What I like most about Ashcan is that they don't strictly operate as a business chasing profits, but that they are really art lovers. It was really worthy to study and prepare my portfolio in Ashcan.

Aida Perovic: Best investment I've made for my education. I've gotten into all the art schools i've applied to. Creative and relax environment with hands on and patient instructors who care so deeply about each and every student.

Craft Studio: what do users think?

Rowan Mai: Super fun place! great for kids especially

Eric Rock: Exceptional environment for young to explore their artistry with many projects to fill an hour or so.

Difeng Chen: It's a little bit pricey, but my kid had a lot of fun. At first, their system accepted my appointment at a private event. We had to wait for two hours until the event finished. My daughter was so disappointed since we came all the way from downtown Brooklyn. The staff apologized for the mixed up nicely, and as a software engineer, I know that technology is not reliable sometimes. So, I decided not to blame the store. Everyone there was so nice, my daughter really enjoyed her craft and said that she wanted to come back next time. But I'd recommend looking into the system issue since it was very disappointing at the beginning.

Alexis Rice: This place is great to bring your young kids, it keeps them entertained, they can make their own choices

Claire Millett: Very friendly and helpful staff, and the place is absolutely adorable!!
