Heather Edwards: We had the best time!Delicious food, great space, new friends and rock star chef/instructor - Erica Wides!Thank you!
Laura Hodgson: We participated in a team bonding event at Home Cooking NY and our team had an absolute blast! The cooking class was highly inclusive, involved a lot of team work and resulted in absolutely delicious food. We also learned a bunch and had an overall great time. We are already reviewing the sample menus to plan our next event!
Yvonne meets Food: , then cooking duck will actually be quite straightforward as long as you don't rush it. Would highly recommend the duck cooking class and this cooking school in general. It's in a slightly larger space than pre-pandemic and is well designed and run.
Rachel Wyncoop: Great experience cooking with Susan! Our team had a great time and would definitely go back for another meal.
Natasha Zaveri: I booked HCNY for a virtual team bonding event at work and it was amazing. The recipe was delicious and the chef was great with her instruction. Would recommend!
Amir Steinhart: was an absolute delight -- engaging, knowledgeable, communicative, patient, and non-judgmental. The classes were fun and delicious, and I met some great people. Will definitely recommend/be back.
Dio Hernandez: We took 16 high school students to two cooking classes. We worked with an Indian menu in the morning, and a chinese menu in the afternoon. It was fantastic! Hands-on experience! We love that every student was busy doing something, trying new things. The students don't want to just listen; they want to create on their own and you give them that opportunity. The chefs know how to work with high schoolers; they are very professional, very knowledgable, patient, and kind. We have another cooking class booked coming up soon; my students are super excited to come back here to work and learn with you. Thank you!
Shannon O'Brien: This was an awesome surprise birthday idea! We went for my partners 30th birthday with a group of friends and had a blast. The chefs were really knowledgeable and friendly. The food and the space was great too. It was nice to sit down for a family-style meal afterward.
Pamela Kulnis: Had a team holiday event. Such a great time, learned some great tips, made risotto, lemon rosemary chicken, chocolate torte. Such a fun afternoon, will definitely make the recipes at home and might even take my husband for a session!
Timothy Popko: I took the Monday night class with Erica and wow my cooking has improved. From day one we practiced knife skills and I felt better just preparing vegetables - now I’ve made my own pasta sauce, I’ve made chicken broth, and even weeks later I keep trying more of the recipes from the class. It was a fun class, I loved Erica’s witty humor, and I loved all the portions we ate each night. I definitely will take another cooking class with them.
Gary Rosen: We took Team Total Urology Care NY to Home Cooking NY for a team building adventure and it was. We were greeted with cold glasses of water and a sparkling kitchen stocked with freshly purchased, beautiful fruits, vegetables and proteins. We learned cutting skills, prepping skills and a variety of cooking skills topping the and afternoon with a Julia Child like after show feast! Our hosts were warm, professional, fun and really made the experience worth the trip. Thank you!
cait: My brother and I took my mom to the brunch class to celebrate Mother’s Day. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious. We liked the food so much that we’ll actually be making these recipes during our family vacation this year! Erica was a great teacher we’ll be returning for more classes with her soon.
Jennifer Park: Really enjoyed my bootcamp for beginners with Erica Wides! Erica did a great job at explaining the method behind the madness, and I came away with a lot of delicious new recipes! My husband has noticed a drastic improvement.
Adam Rosenzweig: We had such a great time cooking and learning with Susan. She allowed us to curate a menu that was personal to us and also challenging. It was awesome to get background into certain techniques that are critical to the dish's success. While it was a fast moving class, if we fell behind at any point, Susan was right there to answer questions or pick up the slack for us! After the food was ready and Susan had left, my fiancée and I were grinning about how good our food looked and tasted. All in all, a great way to have a special night at home.
Cherie Simmons Neal: . Still tired of seeing her on social media and video games during the pandemic, I decided to enroll her in Home Cooking NY again this year. I'm so pleased. The recipes were just great. We
Eric S: I just wanted to take this opportunity to share my thoughts and experience from my recent virtual cooking class with Home Cooking New York. I must admit that I was somewhat suspect and skeptical of the outcome of this experience. Having attended in-person classes in the past, I was unsure how this experience would translate in a virtual environment.I scheduled the cooking class for my niece and I. She had a strong desire to learn how to make dumplings and I thought it would be a great bonding adventure. We had a great time and my niece truly loved the experience. Our fantastic experience could not have happened without acknowledging the help and talent of a great Chef/Instructor. We were fortunate enough to have Chef Susan Streit Sherman as our Instructor. She always had a sunny disposition, had patience of a saint and worked very well with my niece. My niece has not stopped talking about her experience. The real test came when the fruits of our labor quickly disappeared and there was not a trace of a dumpling to be had or found.Thank you again for providing an experience and memory of a lifetime.
Kristen Cappello: We hosted an intimate cooking class with our clients and it was excellent. To Jennifer and Home Cooking - we wanted to THANK YOU for hosting such a wonderful event! We have received the most gracious, lovely notes from our clients. They had a wonderful evening and truly enjoyed the delicious food and wine!We will be sure to recommend Home Cooking to our colleagues. It was so much fun working with you and we cannot thank you enough for helping us build our brand and strengthen our client relationships.

Chaz Swingle: We did the Top Chef Competition as part of a work team building activity. The chefs were very helpful and entertaining. Many in our group did not have much cooking experience and learned several key skills. I would recommend this to friends and colleagues as a group activity.
Lorraine Biscocho: Great experience and delicious food! I especially liked how the instructor was super knowledgeable about truffles.
Nay Nay: Had such a fun night with city cooking !!! I booked the cooking with truffles class we made fresh pasta with yummy truffles !!!! I was hesitant to book alone but my group was so much fun ! Also chef ken was amazing super informative and so funny I loved how easy it was and the best part eating!!!! I recommend this for singles or couples and fun for a girls night! They served wine. I do not drink but I enjoyed the sparking water ! They also served a dessert to end the amazing meal we cooked ! Worth every penny ! I can not wait for the sushi making class !
Pam Unger: We had a great time at this cooking class. It was intimate and well run. It was great to get to sit down and have a nice meal after we cooked our food. I would definitely go back and do a second class with more friends.
Copper Cunningham: I thoroughly enjoyed the Knife Skills 101 Cooking Class! It was informative, helpful and fun. The meal that we helped prepare was delicious! Our instructor Lany was delightful!I enjoyed the class so much, that as soon as I got home, I signed up for another cooking class!
Matthew Goldman: Ok so hear me out... We like to cook, we love to eat, and we like to drink. I kid you not, we sat through an hour lesson on how to precisely cut your onion radish & Jalapeño. I don't wanna watch, I wanna do. There was no wine provided until the very end so watching this lesson on cutting was like watching water approach a boil. They actually did not have enough food for everyone and had to make a run to a local store for more avocado and tuna. There was no humor in the presentation & I think a couple stormed out at the very end which was relatable. I gave 2 stars because she did make a run out to get more food because I didn't get any of the tuna tartar. I've done cooking classes before and they always provide too much food where you can take leftovers home. This place was penny pinching on everything. I asked for more Jalapeño and they didn't even have an extra Jalapeño in the back! Lmao. $135 pp - jokes. Go to Brooklyn Kitchen, that's a real cooking class.
Kent Santin: Took the plating 101 class, overall positive experience. Instructors were knowledgeable, however did not go into the depth expected of showing different techniques and tools. Was more so a playground to test techniques you may have seen elsewhere. Was expecting a bit more depth / tutorials. With that said because this was a plating class it's more artistic so I imagine their other classes may go into further depth based on reviews I've seen.
Karen Jacobsen: After a long hunt for a Knife Skills class that wasn't all the way downtown and on a weeknight, I found City Cooking West End. Four of us signed up together and were part of a class of 10 people on a Saturday afternoon. Chef Ken was terrific; relaxed, very interactive, and he made the class fun and informative. He also prepared us a delicious meal that included all the different things we'd chopped and cut while learning how to use our knives, and the class sat down and had a lovely, social lunch together. They even bagged up the leftover things we'd cut up to take home, which I used the very next day. From start to finish, the experience was everything I was hoping for and more.Steph is lovely and accommodating, and we definitely want to take more classes at City Cooking West End!
Tatianna Mott: Hosted a corporate team building event with City Cooking and it was a blast! From start to finish, the structure of the night was well thought-out and flowed nicely. Even the planning phase leading up to the event was worthy of praise because Stephanie was so understanding and communicated well. The hosts were super personable, which made it not only educational, but extremely fun. We added the cocktail option, and it was worth it!

Geri Smeriglio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMicol and Dino were the perfect hosts and chefs for our families private cooking class. The food was amazing and we so enjoyed the preparation and a few laughs along the way. I would highly recommend any cooking class at Rustico's! They know how to make cooking fun, delicious and memorable!
Mickey Smeriglio: Positive:CommunicationMy family and I had an incredible experience at our Rustico Cooking class. Micol and Dino went above and beyond to meet our specifications. We will return and I can proudly stand behind their teamwork.
Mark LaGratta: . We picked classes with menus that we like because the food is delicious, and plentiful, which is certainly part of the allure. I like to cook, but am no chef. I find it fun to be involved in the process and I certainly love to eat! We have left each time completely stuffed.
Rich S: Micol is a superb chef and an excellent teacher. Have taken 2 Rustico classes & both were a fun time. Be prepared to listen closely. Since this is a hands on event, leave your rings at home, have your nails cut short and bring a hair tie if you have long hair. Enjoy!
Donna Petrucelli: that I felt compelled to share my experiences with other. My first class was a birthday present from my daughter. I was surprised that she would pick an Italian cooking class since I grew up eating freshly made pasta every week
Simone Candis: ! I ended up leaving the first class only 20 minutes in and came to a firm conclusion it was a waste of money and time. It definitely doesn’t reflect well on the staff that as I was leaving they corned my boyfriend and I practically begging us to stay for the class despite our protests
Phillip Christy: We went here for an Iron Chef event with work. The instructions were vague, the ingredients that were provided were cheap and uninspired, and the meal cooked by the staff after we completed our challenge was nothing to write home about. The amount we paid left much to be desired, and I learned nothing of value. The cooking class reviews are very positive for this venue, so I'd stear towards that instead! Just not a very fun time.
Natalia Sorokina: Friendly professional helpful staff. They taught me to make the best pizza in real Italian tradition! I highly recommend them.
Gary K: Team meeting and best event of the week. We had a great time and Gerry and her team were amazing! Very accommodating and helped us close out an awesome day!
France Roy: Perfect for team events.

Voros Plumbing: Second in person cooking demonstration for us. Friday nights demonstration with Corrado Assenza was amazing and informative. Sal Rizzo is the ultimate host.
Shellie Bowman, EA, CRPC, MSM: Amazing cooking experience with Cooking by the Book...OMG. I love this place. Excellent for team building, date night, or just learning.
John Belmonte: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe have been long time supporters, very nice experience , always an amazing staff and chefs .We find it always educational and fun.Remember its a tasting not a meal wine is always fantastic, enjoy the education the experience.
Mark Sheridan: I've had the same class cancelled twice, with less than a week's notice each time. This is below what I consider to be the minimum standard of professionalism. Caveat emptor ...
Federico: Gary & Sal... simply the best in town!
Martin Saposnick: and added knowledge, humor and enjoyment to the evening. It was on the 8th floor in Macy’s NYC it’s worth enjoying an evening there.
Courtney Culkin: I have attended several classes at De Gustibus and it was amazing! the food, wine and ambiance, I also learned so much!
Ed Bacon: Starving after 4 measly courses that were in no way exceptional.. The most disappointing one I have gone to and I have been to many. The vegetarian chef from the "Spotted Pig" I will never go back again. Too much for too little quality and quantity. Also too much advertising.
Leslie Salas: I took a class here on cooking in the Puglia region of Italy, and it was a fun experience. It was a demonstration vs. a participatory class, but they were very good about explaining what they were doing and answering questions throughout the presentation. They have a giant mirror hanging over the kitchen so that you can see what they are doing. I came home with a lot of new recipes to try out and a full belly. I spoke a bit with the staff after the demo, and they all seem very excited about the work they do.
Emily Chu: and wine experts, which are cooking demonstrations rather than hands-on classes

Monica Bates: A great experience with coworkers for a work bonding experience. I would love to take a class in the future! Tons of ingredients, cooking utensils and burners and great chef feedback.
