City Rooms NYC Times Square: what do users think?

Domino Bosland: were very positive. Until a few months/weeks/days ago. It says that the hotel is closed and it has become an apartment.City Rooms NYC Times Square and Be Home Hotel are the same and both closed. They are offered on booking.com through SoBeNY, you can rent from their apartments but this is a big scam. See the Google reviews of SoBe 12th and Ocean Suites - Miami. I asked for a refund but they only offer a discount coupon.Do good research before you do business with SoBeNY.UPDATE: Booking.com helped me with getting the money back. It's on my account now

Ce. Wgr: El teléfono es equivocado. En el lugar nadie atiende

Diamone: Love this place customer service was amazing and has a very trendy feeling. The location was amazing for the price. I stayed there the month before covid shut everything down. Sadly I can’t find anything on this place since things are opening back up I’m not sure if they survived covid but if they come back I will be staying there again

Tara WC: Avoid this place. Booked a trip for my wife and I for our Anniversary before lockdown. The world shut down, including broadway which was the purpose of our trip. I called to cancel and request a refund or a reschedule and was told no. My wife was pregnant and we weren’t going to risk traveling to NYC at the height of the pandemic. Was told to email after I asked to speak with a manager. Emailed multiple times no response. Tried calling back and just receive an answering machine. Still have not received any response from anyone to resolve my issue. Will never book here again and will make sure to tell anyone I know to avoid this place.

Jordi Simon de Diego: , some teas, water and chocolate.Location is very convenient.Room service did a great job.Staff is very friendly. We had a problem with our airport transfer and he helped us to solve it.I highly recommend it.

Doug Wong: Booked a room here back in April. Show up for our reservation in June and doors were locked, no one there. Called the hotel, answering machine says send us an email. Obviously no one was monitoring their emails. Stood around in the rain for an hour before giving up and booking somewhere else. Luckily the booking site refunded us and apologized but to this day we received no communication, no apology, and no explanation. I understand things are happening that are out of our control but at the very least you have to tell people that you are closing down. It’s simply unacceptable to treat guests like that.

Camila Pérsico: We had an amazing time staying here! It was near all the Broadway theaters, which was what we were looking forward to, and the staff was so nice and attentive. We can’t wait to visit again! If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Midtown, this is the place to go!

Rupesh Sanghavi: Good staff. Treated well.

Connor Rogers-Lawrie: Clean, friendly, easy check in, and convenient location to experience the city.

Erik Bäckström: Small rooms and cold

B H: , next to Sightseeing Pass office

Jeremy J: Location was great. The rooms are small but functional. I had to study during my visit to NYC and the wifi was great. My only complaint was that that a/c was cut off and it was super hot on the top floor. I feel like they need to reconsider at least leaving the top floor with a/c.

Inn New York City: what do users think?

Yulia B: WiFi was poor, but everything else quite magnificent for those who prefer home to a hotel.

Pat Garland: Had a wonderful stay in the Library Suite. It was the perfect New York City Experience. What a treat to stay on a whole floor in a beautiful brownstone. The staff was very helpful and delicious gourmet foods and snackswere left in the suite for us.Looking forward to my next visit.

Christopher Peacocke: Stayed in the Opera suite on the ground floor. The room and service were everything we could ask for. We had food and drink provided daily, daily laundry service, everything was clean and comfortable with all conveniences. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to all we know.

Vassili Safonov: One of the best stays.

Laura Podhaski: My boyfriend and I chose to stay in the Library suite, what a wonderful, 5 star experience! We enjoyed a very comfortable, cozy weekend. We didn't want to leave our suite! It was tastefully decorated and every comfort was considered. Everyone was very kind and considerate. We wanted a romantic, intimate weekend in Manhattan which we wouldn't experience at a big chain hotel... It was the perfect choice! The suite was very spacious inside.... It had a fireplace and kitchen, all of the comforts of home. We lounged around most of the weekend and relaxed... the housekeeper even came in and did our laundry!Definately coming back again soon!!

Sara H: that had everything you would need to prepare a gourmet 3 course meal as well as a beautifully set dining table! Not that I did, but it was nice to know that I had the option. The living room was spacious with a handsome fireplace framed by bookshelves boasting hundreds of books and magazines which was great because with the amount of snow, it gave us an opportunity to enjoy a roaring fire! There was even an antique librarian’s ladder that makes it very obvious as to why this suite is named the “library suite”The staff was so incredibly friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only are they hospitable, they are genuine. We were greeted on return from our outings with little treats and delights, including crossaints, muffins, and little bagged snacks. If that all weren’t enough, it is a great location. Walking distance from Lincoln Center and the Museum of Natural History, and if you don’t feel up to hoofing it down to Times Square, the subway

Pod 51 Hotel: what do users think?

Daniel Hurtado: Terrible!!!

Phonetic Abyss: I was staying there during the Trump election so it was really busy in NYC. I have cousins/old neighbors there but barely know them so a hotel was the prime choice. If you want to stay in Manhattan and like me want to walk around and love just about. everything you wander around and look at it’s the cheapest option. Elmo tried to hug me in Times Square but I ran for it so that might have been on Earthcam. The red light/green light for the bathroom is perfect for le pod. Maybe a little better ventilation if I had to judge something negatively. Great use of limited space and well lit and the decor is fun. No more blackouts or else! It’s a loud city but it’s still as beautiful as I remembered. I was so happy to have a little time to myself to simply enjoy it and the history that I felt so connected to at one time. Walkable if you are like me and want to go to the Empire State Building and enjoy what you see from a higher altitude. I just wish I had done a little subway surfing before I left! So much better when there a bed waiting for you that you can afford and don’t have to couch surf.Rooms: I was wondering if any of the rooms are joined like a door in the middle that connects the two?Nearby activities: Roof parties seem to be very popular in that area it’s like you’re surrounded by them but they look super fun! Lots of roof gardens I vent! Love those growing things! Wish I have gone to some museums like the Smithsonian.Safety: I felt as safe as I usually feel. Quite impressive actually since I think something was happening with the police while I was going to the amen clinic of a tbi and amnesia. There didn’t seem to be any local physical violence but verbally people were quite vicious.Walkability: If you have good sneakers and hungry eyes walkability is poifect. There are scooters to rent all over the place though if you lose that strength and energy you started out with.

Bijoya Mandal: It was a nice and affordable hotel in Manhattan. Though the rooms were pretty small, given the name 'pod51' but it was even smaller than what we imagined. The bathroom door was malfunctioning and never fully locked. The shower had a clear glass wall and lacked privacy. The only good thing about the hotel was the terrace lounge that has a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline.Rooms: Rooms were small but I guess that is suggested in the name 'pod 51'. The pictures of the room on the website did not do it justice. The rooms were smaller than what we imagined.Walkability: It's a superb location. 20 minutes walking distance to Times Square.

Stefan: Podcast 51 is very well located. The subway is easy to reach, about a 3-minute walk. Central Park about 15 minutes.Rooms: Small but nice.Food & drinks: Is there in the bar right next to it.

David Samuel: My room was 82° according to the room thermostat. I called the front desk and they told me that they don't run the AC prior to a guest checking in. The cleanliness was far from perfect. There was dust everywhere. The phone was dirty. The furniture looks very budget. The mattresses were not in zippered plastic bags as a defense against human slime. I've stayed at better and worse but if you have the budget look elsewhere. I posted a picture of the phone.

Jean-Michel Bou-Rjeily: Does the job for cheap

Wagner Corrêa: Highly recommend! Without a doubt I would stay again. Obviously, the more economical price compared to other hotels in the city comes with limitations. The room is quite compact, it doesn't have a fridge, the hotel also doesn't have a microwave, but it's extremely clean, well located for those who don't mind using the subway, the elevators are fast. It has many good points. I only had a problem with my payment, as the receptionist charged the daily rates on the card I made the reservation even after I had paid the entire accommodation in cash. What I managed to reverse immediately by going to customer service and I got my money back. It was a scare, but it all worked out in the end.

Nader Naeymi-Rad: If you enjoy a hotel with the feel of a Federal Penitentiary or Minimum Security Prison, then the Pod 51 is right for you. I suspect most of the furniture is even sourced from the same vendors that supply our prison system. Small and cramped rooms coupled with bathrooms barely large enough to fit an adult human. Add to this non-existent views, slow elevators and staff that look chronically tired and beat, and you have Pod 51.

Nyc hotel: what do users think?

Tj: Wifi didn’t work, only one Elevator worked and the TV also didn‘t worked. On top of that i‘m still waiting on getting our 50$ caution back. At first we got told that it only takes up to 10 days, and now it‘s over 20 days and I didn‘t recieved an answer to my mail I send regarding this issue.

Joshua Joel: as well as a double pram and 2 suitcases.Overall, we will stay again. Very good location. The city view can be better. The staff were friendly. The room can be a ting bit bigger

phonics minal: Customer service is horrendous. Arrive to the hotel late night with a reservation and they want to head and cancel the reservation with no notice no explanation nothing. Reservation is still active in my app and in my email the Asian sure no sympathy and he said she was very rude and just kept continuing to say that he had no rooms available. . Completely unacceptable the hotel lobby was a disaster. There was equipment everywhere crates everywhere. The doorman would not stop harassing the girls trying to check in and kept talking about how we made $59,000 a week in the trucking business. The agent continue to tell everyone that services down with zero help and was very arrogant in route about why cancel the reservation.

Tracy Tucker: there was nonstop. No refrigerator in my room, ac didn't work properly in my friend's room. My being was a sheet, a duvet insert and another sheet, which was the right weight but weren't actually together.... they became horribly tangled during the night, lol, my pillows were great though!Walkability: 15 minute walk to the village or the High Line. Coffee is close. Decent restaurants very close.

Johnny Mac: Checked in at 3.00 pm and room was not ready. They said come back in an hour. No fridge in room. They brought me one and it was not working. Second one was ok. Remote was not working.I paid $700.00 for 2 nights. Place was not worth half that.Holiday Inn should be embarrassedRooms: Small. Carpets threadbare. Clean. Not up to Holiday Inn standards or anything close to any Holiday Inn I have frequentedNearby activities: Hey it's NYCFood & drinks: Nothing availableNoteworthy details: Upon checkout I was told that my $50.00 deposit would be credited to my card within a week. A week!!! This has never ever happened to me before.

KAREN PINZON: It is a good place, it has the basics for your visit, it is ideal if you are going to visit many things and you will only be there to rest, there is no noise, it is neat and it has a restaurant on the first floor if you want to have breakfast there. Close to it is metro café, a super place to eat. Neat and rich.

Soccer123456: The hotel is good for NY city standards, tiny rooms compare with hotels outside NY, desk service was very friendly and helpful, I got a good rate for 4 nights, location is good with 2 subway station in 1-2 blocks away. Mc Donald’s around the corner for a good coffee in the morning, the only problem is the elevators. I was there last weekend and only one was working and very challenging to get up & down. But overall a good place.

Garik Mkrtchyan: Only one elevator is “working”, they are doing some remodeling now so you need to wait 30-45 minutes to get the elevator if you’re lucky. When you ask the staff they will ask you be more patient and take the stairs from 23 floor. The rooms are small, no fridge, Exhaust fan in the bathroom is for making loud noise only and connected to the lights, so enjoy :

Hotel 31: what do users think?

Ann Co: But luckily some tickets are not printedThe hotel can assist me to print it out

Sullivan but not Sullivan: Very nice, very high quality. Everyone knows what they’re doing and they provide an amazing experience.

Daniell. Dino Rinaldi: Best Hotel for the money! Very clean rooms. Excellent service. Just a couple of blocks from everything New York has to offer

Mirakul Shibaneko: It was reassuring to have a well-built male staff member at the front desk. The people who do housekeeping also came from South America and were kind and helpful. Everyone changed my room, which is suffering from abnormal weather, into a cool place with a refrigerator...😢 I was moved. The elevator is manual and has a historical feel. The Empire State Building changes colors every day and looks beautiful 🌸✨.

Karl Palakkattil: during our work related trip to NY !!!!!!! Excellent location and just few minutes’ walk to main attractions like the Empire State Building and FlatIron, Macy’s at Heralds, museums, countless restaurants and movie complexes, etc. Neighborhood was safe and pleasant and rather peaceful with great ambience. Room decor was classy and warm with vintage furnishings and ample lighting. Housekeeping / maintenance teams were efficient and kept the rooms clean and well maintained.Front Desk team members were welcoming and extremely helpful. They were always available and sincerely committed to ensuring that guests enjoyed a truly comfortable stay at this hotel. Definitely will stay here again…..

Wan S: Run away from this place! If there was 0 stars I would definitely give it to that horrible hotel,The service was awful, the staff was Completely rude. Never experienced this degree of racismI have felt extremely disrespected and publicly humiliated compared to how the staff treats his other guests. His treatment of me has been as contentious as it has been continuous, and I feel it is a result of some racial and/or age discrimination he harbors towards people like me. I have to walk past him every time I come or go and I get nasty looks from him. When I asked if he didn't like me for some reason he started yelling at me and told me to go somewhere else but never give my refund and at that point I no longer feel safe. The hotel is worse than the pictures. They didn’t have everything on the list I asked for refrigerator the staff want to charge more money if I want it, I asked for Iron but never got itNo Heating in the roomYou are paying for poor customer services and poor quality hotel. STAY AWAY!!

Eduardo Andrés Pérez Arroyo (un chileno en méxico): Delivers what it promises, no more, no less. And that's quite a lot in a city as demanded as NY. Modest hotel, located in a privileged place and very comfortable if what you want is just to get to sleep. It is not luxury, but for its price it would be absurd to ask for more. Oh, and another very important thing: they don't charge the nasty resort fee.

sharon kalinowski: Could not have been more delighted! Hotel 31 is full of Vintage mirrors, lighting and other decor, has an antique expanding -door brass elevator, and a lovely gentleman to check you in. Comfortable bed and convenient sink, towels and toiletries in room. One of our windows had a view of the Empire State Bldg! Clean and convienent location 😊

Giselle Rubio Agelvis: We booked this hotel because of its location and reviews and it was one of the best decisions of our trip.Great location, bathrooms really clean, nice and comfortable rooms. If we comeback to NYC, we are staying here again no doubts.

Dorothee Weich: .Because of the air conditioning, the window could never be closed completely

Chiheb Khayati: This is a quiet little hotel, Basic and inexpensive. Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable, good location, with short walking distances to the Empire State building, Times Square, Subway and a lots of restaurant.Good prices, stayed 5 nights and will stay again next time in NY.No issues and no complaints.

Peter Kidd: Basic and inexpensive. Thin walls, so pray you don't have a noisy neighbour. Bathroom down the hall was clean and well maintained but the water pressure and temperature left a lot to be desired.

Joaquin Almanzar: High prices, dirty tables and bad service.

Kim Cruz: Clean, old-fashioned rooms. The room was a little cramped but for the price and location I would definitely recommend to tourists. Most places are within walking distance and not too far by car. The elevator is a beauty though, decades old but is fun to look at and be in.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square: what do users think?

Krishan Dhamaraju: I would not recommend this place. The location is perfect for walking around manhattan. The problem is with the property. Except one person at the help desk and the supervisor, nobody else is welcoming. The rooms are super dated, the air conditioning is horrible, the rooms get hot. I don’t recommend taking the rooms with patio, they are weirdly positioned where you will wet your clothes. The out door cushions are never changed they are soaked. Don’t take the rooms nearer to the elevators, they make horrible noise and I promise you will be woken up in the nights. The “hot” breakfast is Bad.Rooms: The rooms bad, air conditioning does not work in most of the rooms.Safety: Not a problem.Noteworthy details: The people at the reception are rude. Not all, most of them.

A BANIR

Jay Blaze: I wasn't sure if the overnight front desk was staff or local muscle. Camo cargo shorts, baseball cap, gold chain, timberland boots. I was confused. I NEVER EVER seen a marriott FRONT DESK associate in any attire in that manner. Not friendly. But was definitely friendly on his phone calls. Heard a dog in the office barking. My mother has been employed with marriott over 20 years. This is definitely not the MARRIOTT way.Nearby activities: Many stores. One 24hrsFood & drinks: Pizza. Bagels. Sandwiches. Fruit stand all in a block distance

Chris Bishop: Room 515 has loud noises each time the elevator is in use. The elevator makes two loud hammering noises every use, into the night. Very noisy, loud and not something easy to ignore. The room was fine, the front desk people were excellent.

Inari Kurvinen: Nice hotel in the middle of Manhattan by the Times Square. The elevator is the slowest ever and eventually stopped working. Rooms are not sound proof. Breakfast is complimentary, but not abundant. Location is great.Rooms: In my first room there was no wifi working. Please note that the rooms are not sound-proof and the street noises can be well heard!

Mario Dahmen: Frühstück Bedingungen Misserable ! 50 Personen und nur 4 Tische zum Frühstücken, dazu immer die selbe und Minderwertige Qualität. Da sollte man dran Arbeiten. Zimmer ist Sauber .... aber Studio ? Mini Küche ohne Sitzplätze 👎

Barry Needleman: . Location was very convenient

Micaela Asaff: Simple in all aspects. My room didn't even have a chair, but the important thing is a comfortable bed, and a hyper-convenient location to travel anywhere. They clean the room once every two days but it is enough. As a plus, they have a nice view of the Edge ❤️

Rakesh Ramchandani: Near the corner of W44th and 8th Avenue, this hotel is centrally located. As expected in Manhattan, the rooms are very small and tight. And space to keep luggage does not exist. Otherwise, the rooms are pretty functional. Has just one small slow elevator .. the Gym in the basement is surprisingly well equipped.Good location if you plan on staying for sightseeing or meeting nearby. Given the proximity to Times Square, traffic is a crawl.

Kris Au: Disappointing experience. Super loud fan in toilet, so loud it is shocking, and you can’t turn lights on without having the fan off. We checked out early morning for a flight and it was 5:50ish, there was a female staff working in the breakfast area and I asked if I could just grab a bit of food to eat on my way to airport. She looked at me in a very unpleasant way and re-emphasised twice: the breakfast starts at six! we were shocked how inflexible and unfriendly the staff was, that’s free breakfast for all in-house guests anyway, you can’t pass your guest a muffin or something? As ambassador member, sometimes we really regret being loyal to Marriott. Sigh.

Michelle Teano.: Excellent location

Brent Ross: Loud banging from elevator on each use. Front desk aware without any plan to fix.

Ace Hotel New York: what do users think?

Melissa Melo: Amazing customer service by the whole staff, but a special thank you to Jesus who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy!Service: 5/5 …

Veronica Van Gogh: the exceptional go the extra mile hospitality 2

Wesley McDonald: Beware walking into the bar while it is bright outside. Darkest public room I have ever been into. Once my eyes adjusted though it was a good spot. Would return.

marina pelosini: of a beautiful residential building but above all of the Empire State Building. Obviously equipped with hot and cold A/C. The hotel does not directly provide the breakfast service but by accessing from an internal door there are only two rooms, one for having an "Italian" breakfast: croissant

itzamia: Like a lot of hotels, this hotel will hold a deposit. I booked online, got a good price and knew I was going to pay an extra 40.00 for the room for whatever fee they charge everyone for whatever reason. What they don't tell you until you get there is they are going to hold 200.00 and you're not getting that back for almost a week. So now your stuck in New York City, you can't cancel your room or you'll lose that, and you're 200.00 short from what you planned on using that for while you were there. These surprise holds is unethical and needs to be upfront before the room is purchased. If i didn't have that, I'd be sleeping at the train station while my 300.00 room I can't use stays vacant.

Staypineapple, An Artful Hotel, Midtown New York: what do users think?

Evan Valle: Wonderful hotel just a few blocks from Penn Station and Times Square. The rooms are so chic and the bed was beyond comfortable. Hotel staff were so accommodating and willing to help make our experience even better after there was unrelated guest issue down the hall. Staypineapple will be the only place we stay at every time where in NYC!

Laura Maloni: Would stay here a million times over. The staff was incredible and so personable! I was so happy to see that pineapple outside at the end of a long day! I knew I was home. Would stay again!!!!Rooms: Clean, cute, and with purpose! Great use of space and decor!Walkability: Quick walk to penn station or port authority bus terminal! Easy access to midtown, hells kitchen, madison square garden, times square. its in the heart of it all!

Erin Kossivi: So many cute little details like pineapple infused water, one free beverage coupon for each guest, and pineapple cookies in the lobby. The beds are very comfortable and rooms were impeccable. It is walkable to many areas in Manhattan. The staff were very helpful. They stored our luggage both before we checked in and after we checked out. We would absolutely stay here again!Rooms: Extremely clean, comfortable bedsSafety: Locked for use with room key only at 7pmNoteworthy details: Pineapple infused water and cookies in the lobby; coupons for one free beverage per guest

Z Mac: The hotel was clean and cute and comfortable. The location is great, close to restaurants and the Amtrak train station and subways. The 2 stars is not about the hotel, but the environment surrounding it. The city needs to help the mentally ill, the junkies, and homeless. Walking to and from the hotel, you have to be aware. It’s truly sad and the situation must be hurting the Midtown area. I love New York and I will continue to visit, but I’m staying far from midtown.

Danette Rodriguez: We had a great experience at Stay Pineapple. Hotel is very clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff is amazing!! We were treated very well. They went above and beyond. In a very convenient location. Loved the pineapple touches. We enjoyed it very much. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.Rooms: Small but doable.Nearby activities: Times Square, Hudson Yards, Madison Square Garden, Train stations, Herald Square.Safety: Completely safe.Walkability: Completely walkable.Food & drinks: Food is everywhere you turn.

Judy Goddard: Wonderful, super clean, quiet. Walking distance to breakfast places or coffee places. Great pizza place on corner. Great spot for walking to time square_12 min or any other sites to see. I am 70yrs old so walking 5 km every day to see sites was easy from this hotel. Coffee in morning and afternoon. Excellent friendly and professional staff.Rooms: Small, but clean and had everything you would need,as your out touring all day and fall into bed exhausted. Beds/pillows so soft comfy. Best I've had in a hotel. Quiet

Daniel Tan: Staypineapple in Manhattan offers a stylish experience with an unbeatable location. The staff provided exceptional service throughout my stay. However, it’s worth noting that the room size was relatively small for the price. Despite that, the contemporary design and convenient location make Staypineapple a solid choice for exploring Manhattan’s attractions.

Winlla Watson: Rooms: Clean and great valueNearby activities: Accessible to time square, Madison square garden, madame tussauds and much moreSafety: Great security measuresWalkability: FantasticFood & drinks: Lots of eateries close by

Chase Bunting: Was a great location to get in and out of Manhattan to Newark airport fast. Empire State Building and Times Square within 15 minutes walking distance. Only wish we would have asked for different lighter sheets cuz the room didn’t get cold enough for what we had, so we sweat a little midway through the night. Best to sleep with earplugs too because the soundproof windows can only do so much. Our king size bed was comfy and the upgraded glamour room was spacious enough to not feel cramped. Loved the bathroom, just wish it had a fan. We took Dash the puppy and a mug home as souvenirs.
