Li Zhu: Reserved an E-scooter online and received a confirmation email indicating “please bring a valid ID as a form of deposit”. When I went to the store, I was told besides ID, I needed to put down $200 for deposit. I didn’t bring the money because the email I received didn’t say such. Then three women at the reception desk just pulled out their website and showed a $100 deposit for each scooter. When I asked why I was told $200, they said it was because I was by myself. The staff were very rude and impatient and accused me for not reading their website thoroughly. When I tried to explain to them that their confirmation letter needs to more clearly explained instead of asking customers to read fine prints in their website, they just brushed me off. Now I don’t want to go and request a full refund and await a response. So bad!!!

Zeker ook omdat je een lang document moet ondertekenen waar je helemaal niets kan van lezen!Je krijgt 15 minuten extra om tijdig terug te zijn. Je krijgt een plannetje mee waar alles duidelijk op staat. Het hele gebeuren is zeer vlot verlopen maar zit met een slecht gevoel achteraf omwille van het achterlaten van mijn identiteitskaart.

Sashi Grayndler: Our guide Philip was knowledgeable and amusing, lots of interesting and fun facts, and he was patient and kind.. I was travelling solo, so was in a group with a couple from England and a mother and son from France. Their company also enhanced the experience.So glad I chose eBike, as there are hilly areas. Definitely recommend eBike. You will enjoy the experience better if you are not pedalling or pushing bikes uphill.Pleasant girl at reception though she tried to charge me again for a basket which I had already paid online,(booked online that morning) only to realise can't have baskets on eBike - that should have been made clear when booking online. Thankfully just $1 extra.Apart from that, it was a great 2 hours, we had an overcast day with slight breeze so it wasn’t enervating.

Después de un recorrido lamentable con la bicicleta eléctrica sin funcionar, hemos vuelto a devolver la bicicleta y les hemos comunicado que no ha funcionado en eléctrico en ningún momento. Ni nos han hecho ningún tipo de descuento compensatorio ni nos han pedido disculpas. Por favor, no conteste en esta tienda, es un fraude.

Knight: I had a terrible experience at Bike Rental NYC located at 203W 58th St. I was excited to rent a road bike for the first time in a while, but unfortunately, I was met with nonchalant and dismissive customer service that left me feeling disrespected. When I expressed safety concerns about the size of the bike to the attendant, they did not take them seriously and gave me no assurance that the bike was safe to use. I would go as far as to say they were not even remotely knowledgeable about the product they were selling. This lack of concern showed me that they do not put their customers' needs or concerns first. To make things worse, they gave me the runaround when I asked for a refund. This behavior should be unacceptable by any respectable business, yet it seemed they was all too comfortable with letting customers leave feeling frustrated and upset. I expected to have a great experience but instead was left feeling cheated. I do not recommend this bike rental place to anyone, and I suggest looking elsewhere for bike rentals. This business doesn’t deserve your support.
petra entius: They said you don't have to reserve a time they have enough electric scooters but if you arrive they don't have any scooters, you can't reserve them for an hour later or so and they don't give refund.Be aware not to make a reservation online and pay beforehand.Communucation at the store very rude. N D: We had a confirmation e-mail from reservation agent to pick up our bikes at this location but the receptionist at this location did not honor it. I tried to call the Bike Rent NYC for help but they ignored to help and dropped my call in the middle of conversation. Very poor customer service and questionable business. Will not recommend these guys at all and won't rent from them again. .
Ashley Owens: This was a great way to see Central Park. We rented e-bikes so that the ride was not too strenuous especially on the hills. Definitely recommend the e-bike if you are not a regular bike rider. Some of the hills on the tour were pretty steep. Edward was a great tour guide and gave us lots of history of the park and the buildings around the park. Overall my son and I had a great time.

Valy VIGIER: Éric n’est pas aimable du tout voire insolent. Ne répond jamais au téléphone alors qu’il est censé assurer la permanence. Il se fait passer pour le responsable et qu’il gère la boutique mais est complètement incompétent. Je ne recommande pas du tout cette boutique à cause de lui, c’est dommage les autres employées sont sympathiques.Nous avons dû payer un supplément de 32$ pour quelques minutes de retard alors que nous avions tenté de les joindre par téléphone plusieurs fois dans le temps imparti mais personne ne répondait alors qu’on nous avait demandé de téléphoner en cas de problème.Nous devions louer de nouveau des vélos avec des amis, mais nous irons chez la concurrence la prochaine fois.

vincent gribbin: Awfully run company, we booked for 8am from the north park location and waited an hour only to find out they had closed that location. We then got a taxi to their main location to speak to someone about it but spoke to 5 employees and all of them didn’t seem to want to help, one of which refused to let us hire the bikes we had paid for unless we walked back to the north park location. They then told me I had to give over my ID and would receive it back from whatever location I drop the bike back to (apparently they’ll deliver it to me there). They then refused a refund despite us asking politely. Do not use this company

Conner Kechriotis: Poorly maintained bikes and horrible (if not predatory) customer service!One of the worst customer service experiences I have experienced and observed for a business in NYC.They were incredibly rude to me and other customers in the store, and also incredibly disorganized.When my friend and I went to pick up the bikes they suddenly out of nowhere requested that we give them a deposit, despite never mentioning the need for a deposit before when renting the bikes.Upon returning the bikes they managed to lose the information about my friend’s deposit, and he had to wait around for 30 minutes for them to work it out.Other customers in store I saw being treated extremely rudely by the staff. I saw a man that after 30 minutes of riding a road bike in Central Park had a flat tire that he claimed was caused by a tire that was clearly old.Instead of offering to make it right for this man for wasting his day and causing him to have to walk the bike all the way back to them they demanded he pay them for “damaging” their bike.Honestly the list of bad things I saw this day and me and my friends experienced goes on.I was tempted to give them 2 stars because I did ultimately get my deposit back and my back didn’t fail on me, but honestly I think I just dodged a bullet. Would not ever rent anything from this store again and would advise you to stay clear.

E. H.: They have several locations and rental and tour options. We were nervous about riding bikes on city streets so we rented closest to central park. I definitely didn’t know that Central Park has so many hills. So heads up, bring water and expect an hour minimum to ride the path on a regular bicycle. We took several breaks to walk and rest on a warm day so we barely made it back in two hours. I wish I’d rented them for three hours so we could wander more. The bike trail/road is busy, even on a Tuesday and you don’t see many landmarks from the bike path but it’s fun on a nice day and it’s a good break from all the walking.The rental and return process was simple, the bikes were well maintained and sufficient. But if you want a more relaxing adventure-get the e-bikes.
Daryl Schauss: Easily 5+ Stars!! We did the 2 hour scooter tour of Central Park and our guide was Aaron. Highly recommend Aaron and the scooters as we covered the entire 6 mile outer perimeter loop of the park with 8 historic stops along the way. You’ll get more exercise with bikes but you cover much more area with the scooters. Awesome 2 hour tour with Central Park history. Be sure to ask for Aaron!

Charles Heunemann: Riding around Central Park has got to be one of the best ways of seeing this wonderful park. You can’t beat the convenience of renting from Bike Rent NYC from the south west corner of Central Park right by Columbus Circle. No need to book walk right up and fast service. The rates were great and there was no fuss or extra charge when we we came back a little overtime. My only gripe was the bikes were quite worn and in need of a service. My youngest’s bikes lowest gear wouldn’t take and the gears were really hard to change. There are a couple of steep hills at the northern end of the park and she had to walk the hills which made our ride a little less enjoyable. The staff were very apologetic when I let them know at the end of our ride. My advice would be to carefully check your bike before heading off. If there’s something wrong I’m sure they will help you out with a better bike.
Malika Yapa: Had the best experience with Bike rent NYC. We rented bikes from this location, and we rode to the middle of the park. Due to the heat and exhaustion, my partner felt faintish, and was unable to ride back to the collection point. When I contacted Sabina, she was so understanding and kind, and arranged for both mine and my partners bikes to be picked up by a colleague. The colleague too was very kind and checked up on my partner. Would highly recommend!
Robin Fish: Worth every cent, my boys love riding their bikes and loved central park, so the combination of the two made their day. The price is reasonable, paid for the hour. You get a 10 minute grace period. If you choose to use it for another hour they simply bill you extra.

The rental process was made simple and quick by the staff's exceptional assistance and friendliness.The well-maintained and great condition of the bikes made for a relaxing trip throughout the park. I particularly appreciated the freedom to borrow the bike for as long as I needed it, with no limitations on time of day or length of rental.Overall, I would give this bike rental company a strong 5-star rating for its outstanding customer service, first-rate gear, and the wonderful experience it provides. Future bike rentals from them are definitely in the plans for me.

I guess if they were really honest they would have reimbursed me as soon as they received all my credit card details and checked that it as been debited twice.Beware of this place, it seems like they kind to rip tourist off.

The whole point of a reservation is to make sure you secure the bikes you need!?Either: turn up early in the day to get what you need, or get your bikes from somewhere else that actually knows what a reservation is.

홍성은: 앳홈트립에서 올데이 자전거 사서 갔는데1달러 no refundable로 지불해야했다나는 모르고 갔어서 약간 당황스러웠당그래도 직원들이랑 아저씨들 친절하셔서 좋았당11:45am쯤 대여해서 당일 저녁 7:45pm까지 반납하여야했다~자전거에 바구니가 없어서 가방을 손잡이에 걸어야해서 타는 데 약간 불편해따그래도 자전거 자물쇠랑 헬멧은 공짜로 대여해준다~
Arthur Beugelsdijk: With the new york pass, a bike tour with normal - non electric- bikes. We loved the tour hosted by Dan (the man!) he told a lot with a funny twist with cool local music for everyone in the tour. Bikes where OK.
Be Honest: Really disappoint abt the quality and service
Chela Gale: Bikes worked but not great. Did a tour of central park. It was supposed to be a small group for but there were 11 in the group. Tour guide was knowledgeable but not personable at all. Guide also was not conscentious of slower people and traffic that he could cross but others could not. It made it dangerous. Also not kid friendly or interesting for kids.

Manon VDB: My sister and I came on the first of april. We rent two bikes and paid for it at your shop but then we realized that it was including in the Go City Pass. So we asked Priscillia if she could do anything for a refund. She called her manager and then told us it was ok for a refund. She asked my sister to put her credit card on the terminal again to get our money back. We still don't have received the refund. I am VERY DESAPOINTED because at the shop Priscillia told us it was Okay. Moreavor, as we told us it was ok for the refund, she scanned our pass so now WE LOST ONE ACTIVITY of our pass + WE LOST 50$.
Katerin Juape: Went today to rent a bike. 2+hrs to get a bike. Super unorganized and huge delays. Half the staff didn’t know what was going on. On top of that they wanted to charge be $40 late fees when two of the hours were due to their delays in getting us bikes. Kudos to the two guys distributing bikes (Spanish guy and older guy) that were doing the best with what they had, but the rest of the staff were lost and had no idea what was going on. The helmet I received was extremely dirty, sweaty and gross. They had no locks and all their baskets were broken. Beware!

Veronica Amador: Had a reservation at 9 pm for 2 carriages for my sister's birthday. They called me a week prior to our tour to reschedule to 930 to make sure our 2 carriages went at the same time. We showed up at 830 and waited until 10 and we never got our ride. They were very disorganized and only had 2 carriages running. There were many more families that ended canceling their reservations because no one could get us answers. Very disappointed.

Bike was very average (be careful with gear shift, my chain came loose)I took off 2 stars because they made me buy insurance even though I stated I didn't want to. I asked if it was optional for me and the guy said no, I HAVE to buy it. His other reason for charging me insurance was that the groupon was a very good price. ...I don't think that's a valid reason to give when you're charging a hidden fee...Maybe if that was stated on the groupon then I would have been okay with it, but now I feel scammed by that. Please update your listing to say that.
Shaigan Iqbal: Fast, cheap, good quality bikes. One star taken off because the helmets aren't cleaned thoroughly enough during covid, but they DO spray them lightly with what I believe is antiseptic. But this is honestly probably the practice of most of the bike rental companies, so you're not gonna get better elsewhere. They don't have bathrooms here for customers, so you're going to have to hold it until you get into central park. Friendly staff! Will be using them from now on as they're very close to Central Park and using the Groupon, very affordable!
nirav bulsara: Very bad experience. No concern for customer. Went with a Groupon and they did gave any option to pick a bike. The groupon advert is misleading.
Nachum Sarytchev: Very cheap prices (matching prices for NYC weekly metrocard) because virus outbreak and nice service. Nevertheless bikes broke a few times and required a small repair (but it is comon problem)

acraigwalker: I rented a hybrid bike for the day and had a great experience. Phone support for making advanced reservation was excellent, even with a couple of changes as weather changed. Support at the shop was great and the bike worked fine. Pay attention to the 24 hour advance change/cancellation policy for full refunds.
Devorah H: We rented a few single bikes for our family. Both for adults & kids as well. Bakir was really nice, patient, & friendly. We rode across the Brooklyn Bridge & back. We stopped to take some pictures & we had a great time. We took the bikes for an hour at sundown & it was enough timing to go back & forth on the bridge. The bikes were clean & worked well. Each bike comes with a helmet,, basket, & lock. On the way back, one of the bikes wasn't working well, so we got a coupon for a free hour bike rental. This place has amazing service & I would visit it again!

Megan Sault: Definitely upgrade to an electric bike! So much fun! We rented two bikes for 5 hours to ride around Manhattan, Central Park, Times Square, etc. We had plenty of time. It can be a bit overwhelming riding bikes with the traffic, be aware, but the many of the streets have wide bike paths. Brooklyn Bike Rental gave us a map, sent us on our way! Would definitely rent from them again.

Staffan Lindholm: I booked two bikes the day before but when we got to the shop it was closed, all dark with a sign 'will return shortly'. No one turned up or answered the phone. So we walked over the bridge instead, just hope that I will get a refund.
Julie Ayteniz: We lost time just trying to sort ourselves out with the bike seat heights (my bike’s adjustment was broken) and sorting out the bike locks. The lady working their did not help with anything at all. She took the ID and money and that’s all she cared about. Couldn’t even provide advice on the timing it takes to get over the bridge and back. Oh and it’s cash only. Last but not least, the bike chain fell off when I changed gears!

Jose M Mucientes Fayos: The bikes were in good shape but beware that the shop closes at 1700 not 20h like Google claims. They provide you with a free map.Book online to get a 20% off. The bikes come with one lock per 2 bikes and include no basket. The staff was just okay I would say.
Everton T: Bike Rent NYC is a horrible business! Please avoid them and their Groupon deal or you could get scammed out of your money. I made a reservation for 2 adults and my friend also made reservations for 2 adults & 1 child. We all traveled all the way from Long Island to NYC and were told they didn't have us down for the Brooklyn Bridge tour, then they told us they cancelled our 1pm tour but they never sent us an email or called to tell us it was cancelled. They did NOT provide us with a refund or ANY compensation!

Con le bici vengono forniti anche i caschi e la catena con lucchetto. A parte può essere fatta un'assicurazione a 2,99$ a persona, che consiglio vivamente, dato il modo in cui vengono usate le bici all'interno di Central Park.
