City Sightseeing New York: what do users think?

Nastaran: Nice place to visit!

C M: They dont state on their website the valid time frame for the tickets. I purchased 2 city tour tickets for NYC and when we got to the location the agent said that it was valid only until 5pm. I re checked that info on the website and it doesn't say that. We happened to have to buy new tickets to go on the 5:30pm ride. BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM.This city tour sightsee company dis not return my company despite me calling several times to thei customer service phone number. Also, I sent several emails. They dont refund the tickets!!!

umberto finelli: Ottimo per visitare tutta. New York se si hanno pochi giorni a disposizione, consigliato!

Rebekah Paine: I purchased tickets in advance for RiseNY, when I got there they were unable to scan my tickets with the code that was sent to me. The manager told us that this isn't even an approved vendor for their location. Thankfully RiseNY honored the tickets and allowed us entry. After reading reviews, I see that this happened to someone else at a different museum, I wouldn't purchase from this sightseeing company again.

G. C.: Special

Manuela M.: , unfortunately due to the persistence of the serious health situation it was not possible for us to organize our trip again .Last time the company postponed the validity of the tickets to 12/31/23 by failing to tell us that this date

Osher luftig: It's a scam they steal and lie promise stuff that you don't get and over charged

Ul events: This is a scam do not buy tickets from them they lie and scam you they over charge you much more then if you buy the tickets at the location ! Promise parking at location that is not true etc etc etc do not buy tickets from them they scam and steal from you !!!!!!!

Man50 B: Tyler was amazing!!!! Don’t fall for those weak “hop on hop off” tours. Go with the best. She was amazing and made our visit to NYC so much richer.
Tai Ruiz: We take a lot of tours when we vacation and RACHEL is by far the best tour guide we have ever had! She works hard to make sure her group gets the best experience, the best views in the ferry, and the best recommendations. ALL of her facts and stories of the city are interesting and not boring lol. Rachel recommended 99 flavor taste restaurant in China town because it was my husband’s BD and he eats for free. It was AMAZING! Best tip we got from her: get your souvenirs from China town! (Same stuff but 1/3 of the price). Make sure to tip her well!
Maria H. White: Love it! Rachel was AMAZING!!!

Keith Wilkerson: Did the NYC Day Tour with Rachel as the guide and Gustavo as the driver. They were great. Rachel made sure to give us the best tips and her expertise on the best photo spots and when to take them. Made for a memorable day.
Pardeep Kumar: Best experience of my life
Kairee Tormoehlen: I was very interested in booking this tour for my family. When calling for general questions, the person was beyond annoyed and said she didn’t understand why I had questions, when I was just asking if we ever got off the bus. Horrible customer service
Peter Hyland: Great tour
Pat Schroeder: We did the tour with Rachel. She was sooo organized and such an amazing tour guide!!! Highly highly recommend!!
Erika Duncan: Great tour. Rachel was amazing. Bus was nice. Great experience

Bus Tours In NYC: what do users think?

Marc. Wise: If you get Martin as your tour guide, you are good to go! He was knowledgeable about so many locations, architecture, history, and anything you would need to know about New York. He had a great energy, was organized and you can tell he was having a good time. It is not just a 6 hour bus ride. He was narrating the whole time. It was a great way to see the city without worrying about where to go and where to get off, etc. I loved how we got out at certain spots and walked around: The Staten Island Ferry, the 9/11 Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, and Grand Central Terminal. He negotiated it all with ease. It was worth the money.

Kylie Eriksen: Frank was our tour guide on Memorial Day. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Dennis was our driver - he did an awesome job navigating the city and keeping us safe. We much preferred the small bus setting as compared to a larger setting as we got to know the other 2 families as well as our guides. Each stop was a staple and we felt like we got enough time and inside information about each place. Highly recommend!

Kylie Graham: A great Tour and highly recommended. The company were able to accomodate to us a day before the tour and we had a blast with our guide Martin. Is a must tour to do for first time visitors to the big apple. I now feel even more confident to explore the city on our next visit.

Rebekah Keeler: and the tour guide

Don Lucas: This was a great tour. Martin was fantastic! He was informative and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour.

Lynne Wampach: My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Martins wonderful sense of humor and his outstanding knowledge as well as Gus, an amazing bus driver. First time in New York, from South Africa, would never have got to all the places of note otherwise.Highly recommend Small Bus Tours NYC. Thank you

mdcota: If you want to see New York City in a day, this is definitely the tour to take! We had such a full, fun day with our driver Guy, his supervisor and our tour guide Martin. Very informative, smooth driving, great balance between riding and walking. Great lunch spot and plenty of bathroom breaks. Thankful for complimentary water offered throughout the day and the pick up and drop off at our hotel. We will definitely be suggesting this tour to friends and family.

Mark McClain: Absolutely amazing tour. There are many city tour options in NYC, but this is hands down the Best. Guy is an amazing driver, but what made the tour above and beyond was Bryant! His knowledge of the city and its history paired with his humor and willingness to be our personal photographer put it over the top. This is not your typical hop on-hop off tour....when you get off, so does the tour guide.Definitely worth the money and would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone.

Tasia Stafford: Bryant was fun and informative! We appreciated the bits of history and trivia embedded in our tour.

Kathryn Rodgers: Bryant & Guy did a wonderful job. Easy way to see all there is to see in NYC. We had a great time - so worth it.

Tara Friedman: Bryant and our diver were great. The boat ride is the Staten Island ferry and you do not get too close to the Empire State Building. But in the cold winter months and with traveling with my kids and 70 year old mother- this was the way to go vs the big busses. It was a great afternoon!

Kent Covert: . Bryant

Catherine Veidt: Small bus tours is phenomenal! You see the entire island.Guy and Kelly were our tour guides. They are very knowledgeable and fun to be around. You start as strangers and end like family! Literally they make you feel comfortable and like family. We enjoyed our bus tour and would recommend Small Bus Tours NYC to everyone visiting the bigApple!

Dominique Gutierrez: Bryant was great and very friendly and had vast knowledge of NY!! He was very helpful and gave great advice for tourists who are looking for some hidden nyc gems!

Lori Smaldon: Absolutely the best tour in NYC. Our tour guide Bryant was amazing and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this tour and it is well worth the money.

Mike McVaney: was a real plus. We all got to know each other quickly and could move about easily.Highly recommended!

Achim Mertens: It’s awesomeBest tour ever

Gina Spence: Frankie, our tour guide, was everything you could hope for! He was so informative, kind and funny! He knows his city! We were treated so well and had a blast! A day well spent!

Jason Widner: Fantastic tour! Best way to see the top NYC site's in one day. Our tour guide Bryant was awesome, his knowledge of the city and background on history was expertly presented throughout the tour. His singing, Spiderman dancing and jokes were ok as well. Shout-out to Dennis, the driver, he was as smooth and safe as they come. Thanks Guys!

Custom & Private New York Tours Inc: what do users think?

Nimisha Patel: I wanted to book a private tour for our family trip to NYC. I reach out to Custom and Private New York tours and spoke with Cliff. He was pleasant at first on the phone. Then I heard a women in the background telling him what to say to me. Then when I asked him about pricing he got really defensive and told me to look for another company that is cheaper and he hung up on me. He was very very rude and expressed terrible customer service. I am very capable of paying the price for the tour but grateful I saved my money did not book with them.

Summer Gilchrist-Derrick: We had one full day in NYC over Spring Break. I reached out to Custom & Private Tours NYC and spoke with Cliff. I told him what we were looking for and he listened and provided an amazing private tour of Manhattan! Our family was extremely pleased! Thank you Cliff!

Deacon Wightman: We had an absolutely wonderful time with Cliff! Our granddaughter is interested in attending NYU and was touring the city for the first time. Cliff not only showed us all the usual highlights but also made sure to include specifics on how to get around the city, navigate the subway, as well as low cost/no cost entertainment options for undergrads! He also showed her where to find THE BEST PIZZA in the city! Thanks again for everything, Cliff!

Steven Jay: My wife it also mobility impaired and he was able to adjust and let her see lots.I liked the quirky out of the way stuff

Hani Mohammed: nice work

Charise Wright: Best tour guide EVER!!!! Cliff knows every little detail about NY. Me and my 14yo son had the best trip to New York because of him. Learned so many things about the city. Amazing guy all around. Picked us up right from hotel, very private and comfortable ride all around town. Thanks Cliff for making this trip so special for me and Mason.

Maria Haun: We visited NYC for my daughter’s 16th birthday and kicked off the first day with a 4 hour tour around NYC. It was the perfect start to our trip and we all had the best time with Cliff. I would highly recommend that you have him show you around the city. I look forward to seeing the sites with him again real soon.

Franca Cornacchia: Cliff gave this first time visitor a fun and knowledgable tour of NYC. Our group visited many tourist sites where Cliff provided us with his humorous and historical insights of the place he calls home. He is passionate about NYC, sharing with us his stories, his photos and his memories. I would highly recommend Cliff's tour and it gave our group a rounded and insightful look at NYC.

Kinch: We were a group of 5 spending a week in New York City together. It was planned as a special trip - we had all worked together for many years. Cliff did a private tour for us and it was amazing. Cliff was incredible - we really wanted authenticity, and he has spent his life in Manhattan. It showed. His knowledge of the area, the sights, the sites, the highlights, the was fantastic. I loved that he was flexible and we could change things up as the day went on. He got us access to things we wouldn't have even known about. And the stories...this is no "tourist event" - Cliff is authentic. Our driver, Jose, was amazing as well - how he navigated the city was something to see. I would so highly recommend Cliff and his company that I will absolutely book him again even if I just go back with 1 other person. A+++

Timothy Halladay/Fulsom: This was My first visit to the exciting city . On my tour of NYC we were provided with the most amazing, fulfilling experiences the city had to offer. We say all the highlights and experienced a lot of laughs and jokes. Cliff the tour Gide made the whole 6 hours a delight. I would recommend him to do your tour of this fine city and all it has to offer. Accompanied by his driver Jose who was full of knowledge and easy pathways around the city. The two of them worked hand in hand making this the best day in NYC. Five stars all the way.Tim HalladayDelta Ontario

Megan Greek: would be sure to enjoy. This was truly the perfect way for us to see as many things in the City as we could

Adam Bundy: I can not tell you how the tour is yet, but Cliff and I just spent an hour on the phone customizing and designing our dream private tour of NYC... We are going to see Top of the Rock, 9/11, Grand central, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire state building, Statue of Liberty, and take a boat ride around lower Manhattan, and so many other amazing adventures. We can not wait to have our dream NYC tour with Cliff!

nelson goins: Cliffs tour Company was professional and informative. First class treatment throughout our New York City experience plenty of laughs and wows highly recommend 5 Stars ⭐️.

Francis Aki: Finding and securing Clifff's tour business made our trip to NYC so easy and memorable. Cliff knows his city and presents NY in a positive and loving way. We learned so much from his narratives about the city and its people past and present. He is an amazing tour guide and an all around good and caring person. Thank you Cliff for sharing your infinite knowledge of this magnificent city.Skip and Marilyn

Jason Tolhurst: Very good tour with Cliff, my 4th time to NYC & learned more in one day with Cliff than any other time together. Very well organized & informed of everything we were about to see or visit. Very professional & accomadating.

Kristen Speck: . Cliff knows exactly where to go, enter, view etc. all parts of the city! When asked to make an obscure stop not planned in the day, he adjusted without hesitation as if it was part of the tour...truly amazing. We are so grateful for the most amazing, special experience for our family and the memories will never forget, thank you Cliff!!

Christy King: Rita was our personal guide and we truly enjoyed meeting her and spending time with her! Cliff made this tour effortless. I HIGHLY recommend using them as your tour company. Will definitely be back!

Charles Johnson: We came to NYC to celebrate my niece’s high school graduation. She is interested in musical theater. I had contacted Cliff several weeks before we arrived and he arranged the most amazing customized tour for us. It couldn’t have gone better. We saw so much of the city in 4 hours. Cliff was an amazing tour guide and his driver, Raaz, was equally amazing. I recommend this tour company without reservation. You will be so happy you took advantage of their superior service and experience. Not only did they give us the best tour we could have hoped for, they also provided numerous recommendations of places of interest we visited and restaurants we enjoyed during our visit. Thank you so much, Cliff!!

Linh Nguyen: We had a hilarious and informative day of sightseeing with Cliff! We traveled with 2 teenagers, who can be difficult to entertain, but Cliff went out of his way to ensure that the things they were interested in were part of the tour. He took us out to Rucker Park, so my boys could see where some legendary players have played. Our day was customized to what we wanted to see. Cliff and his driver made the day effortless and entertaining. In addition to seeing historic landmarks, we also got to try the best pizza in NYC, and he even took us to ride the subway so we could experience being a New Yorker. He gave us some beautiful portraits that he took of Central Park as a souvenir. We really felt like VIPs!

TopView Sightseeing: what do users think?
ian sawyer: No daytime real live talking guide is poor. The recording is substandard and too little information. Lastly finishing at 6pm stranded us, just pathetic really. Way too expensive for what we got. 7 years ago when we visited was sooo much better. No tour of Harlem also poor. The idea of including a liberty cruise though is good
Coralynn Dallmann: Nice way way to see highlights of NYC
P Mac: Great experience! Great staff!
Collin Steffes: Great way to first see the big apple.
Dana Llano: Wonderful time and easy to navigate.
Rob Llano: Great service. Great experience on top view
Eviling da Rosa Ferreira: The tour is good when the buses work. We had 3 broken buses in one morning. We had to run to not lose our cruise boat. I know we can wait for the next one but when you don't have much time to waste it is a pain. Also, no one told us the uptown line finishes at 4 pm. So when we arrived at 4:15 pm a very a member of staff said quite rudely if I want to do it only on the next day. The night bus tour was nice and our guide was very nice and funny.
Greater Sweethome MBC: I really enjoyed myself
Shawn Kettner: Great way to see the important sights, get around the city. Ashlyn was a super guide for the night tour!
Noel Franziska Sobol: Very friendly and helpful.
Anita Gulmiri: Beware! Our family of 6 purchased the 24 hours + liberty cruise experience. It was an awful experience and we wish we could get our day back.- 24 hours is really 8am to 6pm…- The morning started out in a frenzy, we got to the first stop at around 9am and their bus wasn’t working. There were so many people fighting to get onto a bus and no new bus came for a very long time. We all pushed and shoved to get into the bus finally at 10:30am!!!!!- The A/c was broken- they provide a guided tour with headphones that plug in— our tour was not working, several of the other passengers had the same problem so we were all sharing headphones and plugging in across different stations. If you moved an inch, the headphones would unplug- the busses do not go in a continuous loop -- once you reach the last stop, you have to get off and walk to the first stop- the buses run slow- there are frequent stops for a very long time at each stop… our bus driver kept getting off for who knows what reason- we were trying to make the liberty cruise at a certain time because they ask you to reserve a time- we hopped on near Hudson’s yard after eating lunch and were told to get off shortly thereafter because it was the last stop- we walked a short distance to the first stopand were met with another frenzy and a VERY rude top view individual. After we couldn’t get on the next two busses because they were full and now 30 min later… I was frustrated.- I asked the TopView attendee if this was a normal experience and he went off on me. I expressed to him we were trying to get on another bus asap so we could make our liberty cruiser reservation…- he proceeded to tell us that we don’t know how to plan vacations and it was our fault that we weren’t going to make it because of our poor planning- when we explained to him that our experience hadn’t been great, he began getting personal and saying we were like little kids that didn’t get the candy we wanted and that’s why we were complaining (???)- he threatened to not let us on the bus because we were “complaining” — we were not complaining but merely expressing our frustrations.- i have parts on the encounter recorded because it was so outrageous- the other two attendees at the stop were pleasant and trying to get the man named Alan to de escalate the situation but he kept going on and on- he went around to others in line and began complaining about our situation to them saying how our poor planning was leading to us to miss our boat ride etc it was so awful!!!!- we finally made it to the liberty cruise which was probably the best past of the experienceI would highly recommend against using this company. It’s a waste of time and money and maybe the other busses that provide the same type of service would be treating their customers a bit better. There are cruise experiences from other companies as well.Enjoy NYC, but not with TopView :)
leslie brown: Terrible
Sean Ferrell: Absolutely the worst run company I've ever attempted to do business with sightseeing wise.No busses to pick up customer's, nothing but excuses. Avoid at all cost!
Jennifer Betbadal: DO NOT BUY THESE TICKETS!!! They lie to you and tell you it's only a 5 minute wait for a bus. It's over an hour just to get on. They advertise prices with no taxes or the many, many fees included. It's truly a horrible experience. Save yourself the time and money.
Alejandro Guzman: Tea around town was amazing!! Live music was the unexpected highlight of the evening. MUST DO IN NYC!!
J Marley: The WORST experiences in NYC!! Wouldn’t allow me to post with no stars. The sales team is pushy and in your face. The bus broke down twice and did not receive replacement buses. Missed our already paid for tickets at an experience and tried to speak with management to which no one would call. We were dropped off at different ending locations than were on the map and drivers were rude. Tried to ride the boat to the Statue of Liberty and the line extended into another time slot as they could not accommodate reservation time. To which we were then forced on the boat with no seats. Tried to contact the support team and was told we would not receive any refunds. The company does not care about the experiences or how they treat their customers. Watch out how you spend your time. We wasted an excessive amount of time and money and cannot get any of it back, for a trip that was extremely important to our family and the company did not care.
R C: A bus is supposed to pass every 15 minutes, ours took almost an hour. Several busses passed but were full. Our line had around 90 - 120 people waiting. The gentleman in charge of scanning tickets allowed a group of multiple people enter the bus by cutting the line. When everyone saw this and made them aware of what just happened, they said, we can’t do anything about this sht. Smile and welcome to NYC.It finally took us almost 2 hrs to reach our stop. Great value for money but this company need to be more in control of organizing a safe way in getting everyone attended.
Paul Endicott: Thank you having a great time
Renan Cagol: Good
Kendra Burrell: Ebi was an excellent tour guide and was very nice and patient in helping us!!

Sidewalk Food Tours of New York: what do users think?

Philip Jemison: Decent food selections. Nothing special. David was a very good tour guide.

Jennifer Palmerson: Josh was exceptionally helpful when I made several changes to my reservation. Having been on several Sidewalk Food Tours before, every tour and tour guide was great!**UPDATED REVIEW**West Village Food Tour - June 16, 2023A wonderful, 3-hour tour. Informative and delicious!First of all, Josh in the office was more than helpful. I admit I made his job more difficult than necessary due to the multiple changes I needed to make. Josh was courteous and helpful and, in no way, did he give me impression of being bothered.Andrea was the tour guide for myself and two friends. Our tour group was small which I felt was a stroke of luck.Andrea sent an email to each of us the day before our tour which reminded us of the tour, our meeting spot and time. She also noted that the tour would begin promptly at the scheduled time. She also asked if we had any dietary restrictions, food allergies or questions. I replied to her email asking for suggestions for places to visit after our tour had concluded. She responded promptly and gave us some helpful suggestions.Andrea cheerfully met us at the predetermined time. After introductions, Andrea gave us a brief overview of what we were to see, answered our questions and confirmed that there were no food allergies she needed to be aware of.We stopped at Faicco's Italian Specialties where we sampled soppressata and rice balls, a.k.a. Arancini in front of Faicco's. Both were excellent. As we snacked, Andrea gave us a history of the place. Our next stop was Bleeker Street Pizza. Andrea gave us a brief history before going in. We ate slices of of Nona Maria pizza. Then the previous owner, Greg Greenwood, joined us. He gave us a detailed history of the restaurant, which his brother, Captain Douglas Greenwood, opened in 2004. Captain Greenwood tragically passed away from 9/11 illness and ownership passed to Greg, who recently sold the pizzeria, although he still works there on Fridays. The pizza was fantastic! I will definitely visit again. As we walked through the West Village, Andrea gave us more history of the neighborhood, which included a home that was only 9 feet wide and a former speakeasy!! Our third stop was Hudson Bagels. where we shared two delicious, traditional New York bagels with cream cheese. Our fourth stop was Galanga, a Thai restaurant. We each had a corn fritter and Chicken Satay. I loved the fritters but thought the chicken was a bit plain. The fifth restaurant was Mamoun's Falafel. My boring palate did not enjoy this treat, but the others did.Lastly we had a cupcake at Molly's Cupcakes, opened by a former school teacher and schoolhouse themed. We each ordered different cupcakes, all of which were yummy. We ended the tour at our original meeting place. Andrea was wonderful, personable and informative. I inquired about other tours Andrea gave so that I can book another tour with Andrea.

Christine Marino: We had a great tour and experience on the Lower West Side Food Tour. Our guide, Brendan, was knowledgeable and made the day both fun and enjoyable. We were able to have six tastings and were told some interesting stories about the west side of NY.

Gary H Goldsmith: and if you end up with Andrea as your guide, even better!

AE G: My fam has done the Lower Eastside tour 2x, informative AND delicious!

Laurie Cruz: Lydia was a great guide; very knowledgeable and personable. Terrific fun and a delicious variety of food!

Nicola Heffes-Doon: This was a really fun way to spend an afternoon learning the history of the west village and tasting lots of yummy food. Our tour guide Andrea was wonderful! I would highly recommend this tour.

Brandon S: My wife and I had a great time on the lower east side tour. The food was interesting and very tasty, and we enjoyed learning about the history of the neighborhood. Our guide Jonathan was excellent!

lesley bayer: Just did this tour with our son while we’re in town dropping him off at Columbia for college. We had an amazing time! Adam is so knowledgeable and friendly, we felt like we had known him for years! This is a fun way to see some neighborhood areas of the city while also sampling delicious food. The walk is super easy with lots of stops in the shade. Highly recommend for all ages. Thanks, Adam!!

Pamela Papish: Sidewalk Food Tours of New York hosted our Executive Team in NYC for a Lower East Side walking food tour for our corporate team building activity. Our tour guide was Adam, who was absolutely amazing. We were a group of 10, and the background Adam gave on not only the restaurants we visited, but the surrounding area was truly remarkable. 10/10 would highly recommend to ANYONE visiting the NYC area looking for a fun activity.Thank you to Sidewalk Food Tours!

Amy Laskin: We're from Long Island and this tour was perfect for us. We've been to some of these places before but it was an entirely different experience with Adam. Adam our tour guide was beyond amazing. He was lovely and took us around to all the best spots. Highly suggest this tour whether you close like us or live far away. Great restaurants with amazing food options. Adam even catered to my Husband who is dairy free by getting him his own tastings at many of the places. I'm kosher style and was able to eat almost all the food. Adam was able to get me some substitutes as well too. He was the best and we will definitely be taking another tour with him and Sidewalk again.

Mike Abrams: Had a wonderful experience with the West Village tour. Our guide Brendan was very fun and insightful and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this for a group looking to get a wide range of food in the city.

Chris Nan: We took this tour in San Diego - our tour guide Daisy did a phenomenal job putting together an informative and fun tour for our private group of 10. She was also extremely accommodating with scheduling. I’d highly recommend this group!

Robert Dewey: was phenomenal and extremely knowledgable. The stops along the tour were all phonemail food and the guide did a great job reading the crowd and fostered a ton of great connection amongst the team both between stops and socializing at the respective stops along the tour. Would highly recommend!

Hannah Scott: My group of 25 LOVED our tour guides Adam and Jonathan for our corp team building event on their LES food tour. It was a stimulating blend of American history, sight-seeing and delicious treats. Everyone was so pleased with our knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides that I had coworkers checking in with me to make sure we were planning to give them a big enough tip, ha! The pre-tour planning and coordination was also a breeze for me - the team was very responsive and quick to customize for our group's needs. We were incredibly pleased.

karen savage: We lucked out and got a private tour of pizza spots and Greenwich Village. Janet was a great tour guide, entertaining us with the history and stories of the area and the beautiful buildings. We visited three pizza places. Quite different from each other and all tasty and filling. I’m glad we walked for a few hours to work off the food and beer. It was a very fun way to see the neighborhood and enjoy some of what it has to offer.

Avinash Rajeev: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessWe set this up as a corporate event and it was great. Jonathan was our tour guide and he was very patient with the group - keeping us moving while making sure everyone was having a great time. Learned some interesting facts about the village and had some great food tastings. Highly recommended.
